If I had a sealed metal cylinder, what could I put in it to make it lighter?

yeah TB got it right straight away, it's a hole. You can't put anything physically into the cylinder because it's sealed as keef said. i've had everything from lightbulbs (lighter geddit) to helium mentioned before.

Here's a quick one for you, you really should have this one spoken to you and not written down so it will be really easy but anyway...

Julie's farther was called Steve her five brothers were called Jaja, Jiji, Jeje, Jojo and Juju. Steve also had five daughters. Their names are Nana, Nini, Nene and Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?

Okay... Here's mine...

Real riddle: Evil Dave is carrying three pieces of gold, each weighing 1 pound. He approaches a bridge, beside which is a sign saying "Maximum load on this bridge: 160 pounds". Evil Dave weighs 158 pounds... Oh noes!

Assuming the sign is correct and Evil Dave crosses the bridge, how does he manage to safely cross the bridge with gold in a single journey?

He juggles the coins so at least 1 coin is always in the air.

The person who makes it, sells it. The person who bought it, never uses it. The person who's using it, never knows they're using it. What is it?

The person who's using it is a man because he "never knows he's using it", it's not going to be birth control because the kind a man uses would not go unnoticed by the man and the kind a woman uses would be used by the woman. Depending on the definition of use, it could be a something used to spike someones drink but that's not gender specific. This is a good riddle anyway I'll have to think about this a bit more. Maybe a lot more.

Absotively posilutely.

Edit: Thread merge!

Sorry for the interuption, but what about the downward force created when he pushes one of the two gold pieces in his hands into the air? Or when the airborn piece lands in his hand. Smooth hand motions could soften the landing, but it still exerts more than one pound of force. Probably about equal to the force required to get the other piece into the air. I think we need a physicist to do some calculations...

Way to take a joke, bud.

A coffin. Which, conveniently, goes with my previous answer of a hole.

What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away?
