Well, it's ani-mondays and I'm learning more about what they have to offer.
First off, they are showing "Street Fighter II." A liitle old and not exactly my taste but it's still something. Should be interesting once things get moving but for now it's really early and all the characters seem a little on the cheesy side. :ouch:

However, I have found some evidence of other stuff to come. 👍
Read Or Die: The Movie was used as the base for a commercial for ani-mondays... This of course throws me back to "anime unleashed" which showed the R.O.D. series. The fact that the movie was used shows me that Sci-Fi probably got the rights to show the movie as well (since CN has shown the movie long ago).

So, R.O.D. and Street Fighter II.

In this SFII series it's all wrong. Not nearly as good as with the movie... Heck, I just watched Guile knock-out Ryu. :crazy:
That alone makes me take back the " :indiff: " now the series is quickly getting a big 👎 👎
 
I've seen street fighter II and to me it is cheesy. R.O.D the movie I think is going to be on there. Adult Swim showed it a long time ago,and to this day is one of my favorite anime movies.

Also have you noticed that this is powered by Stars Media? So I would like to make some predictions on what might show up on Ani-monday other than ROD:

Vandred (good series,but wierd charaters)
Samuri Deeper Kyo (confusing and IMO a waste of time)
Mirage of Blaze ( never seen)
Gokusen(sucks)
Technolxze(Heard good things)
Raxephon


Anime unleased, when it was on tv had some cool shows. Too Bad G4tv scrapped it for shows that no one watches.
 
SF Alfa looks much better, I've been watching some of it and I like what I've seen (although I haven't watched it all).

Also, I'm betting that Sci-fi will show "Dual" later on down the road when they've run out of new stuff. Believe it or not, I kind of enjoyed Dual even though it was a bad rip-off hybrid of Tenchi and Evangelion. :p

I've just finished watching the Street Fighter Alpha movie and I thought it was pretty good. I liked it more than the Street Fighter II movie (which wasn't bad at all) (you know the one, it played tons of modern alternative music throughout the film... stuff like Alice in Chains and Korn).

Any way, I thought it was a good movie and certainly consider it to be the best Street Fighter movie/animation I've seen. Definately worth checking out if you haven't seen it and enjoy either street fighter or anime. 👍
 
So I'm sitting here watching Futurama on Adult Swim and what did I happen to notice? They've gone back to those old pool based Adult Swim intros. The ones where they show stuff like an old man in a pool eating something with the life guard yelling at him (does that make sense).

In any case, it was a nice laugh to see them go back to the older stuff. :D

1st Club-to-Death Angel: Dokuro-chan (Veoh)

= A hilarious but brutally gory-comedy story. Although to was too short (just 12 episodes; two 15 min epsodes per espisode) and it didn't tell to much in regards to the characters meaning character development in the story sucked. But other than that, it was an amusing anime.

2nd Rizelmine (25 eps. fron Veoh; 1 ep. on YouTube)

= Cute and very touching. You might hate the main guy in this story, but the lead girl and the supporting character really do help the stroy a lot. And this anime will relieve you from stresses in life. Excellent anime.

3rd Ichigo 100% [TV] (Veoh)

= I might say, it is one of the best anime series I've watched after a while. The story is so well placed, and mostly followed the manga storyline (according to ANN and Wiki). Manaka is so clueless towards those girls, I feel bad for them especially Satsuki (on which is my fave).

4th Azumaga Daioh: The very short movie (Veoh)

= How short? How about 5 minutes short, it already qualifies as a YouTube clip! Still as hilarious as ever, but it basically a summary of the past TV episodes, plus some of this-n-that. Stupid, but funny!!! There were some alterations on the artwok like Osaka (Kasuga Ayamu) looks more mature than the TV and the manga versions; and Sakaki looks scary (just like the manga version) unlike the TV series.

= A story about an aspiring manga artist with wacky storylines. This story is very educational but at the same time is depressing. All of them are artists just like me, but they draw like I'm still in grade school. So far the story is interesting, I can't wait for the next episode. (:

6th Ah! My Goddess!: Flights of Fancy (DVD rent)

= A continuation from an TV anime series based on the excellent manga. Compared to the first season, the story is somwhat slow, but I will never know because I just finished the first disc. (:

7th Ichigo 100% [OVA] (Veoh)

= The series on where the TV series left off. It really follows the blend really well. I still have to watch the second episode, I can't wait!

8th Negima!? (Veoh)

9th Eureka Seven (DVD rent)

= The story is on going so far. And Eureka finally met her match. Just finishied DVD 3, Boss K loves this anime. DVDs 4 and 5 just arrived, and I'm waiting for him to watch it.

10th Wangan Midnight (Veoh)

MANGA

1st Negima! = The story is getting really riveting, I still have to read 1 1/2 volumes. (:

2nd Vampire Knight (Koji's) = Although the story is good, it failed to grab me. It didn't meet most of my expectations.

3rd Blood Alone (Koji's) = I've just seen the first few pages so far, haven't really started seriously just yet. And I might say, the artwork is pretty good despite of Koji's tastes in which is mostly Shoujo Beat. :|

4th Suzuka = +Not enough funds+

5th Pastel = +Not enough funds+

6th Yotsuba!& = Manga was just released. But it will take a month or so to arrive here in Vegas. :|

7th Girls Bravo = +Not enough funds+

8th DearS = +Not enough funds+

9th Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days = +Not enough Funds+

Dokuro-chan was funny...my girlfriend liking the show and wanting to beat me just like that..kind of funny and sad
 
I've read all of the Ichigo 100% manga some time ago, and the TV show is okay on it, but I generally find the Manga is better for these types of story lines.

Now, if you wanna see crazy funny but messed up, watch Ouran Host Club. Its just awesome.

I just watched the 25th episode of full metal alchemist and i almost cried, seriously. I wont spoil it if you haven't seen that episode yet, but it was pretty sad :(

If thats the episode I think it is, yeah, it sucks... alot. I've seen the whole series, well, back a year or two ago (fansubs, yay!)

Episode 7 I think is pretty sad too, if I recall correctly.

I remember an earlier episode being sad too, but i found it to be more creepy than anything else.

Tragic is by far the best way to explain it I think. Like some screwed up Shakespeare tragedy.

And yeah, I had the episodes right.. that one does suck a BUNCH. I was pissed.

Wangan Midnight is awsome and the wait for episode three is killing me!He's cocky but I want his z!

Right now I'm watching The meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya in dub.That show is flippin awsome!
