I won't be surprised if you drop it (I have yet to see ep 15-I will in like half an hour-, so I don't know what happened.) as Guilty Crown is one of the most mixed bag shows around (Look around the MAL page, especially for the reviews. They're all over the place.). Two of my friends on MAL consider it a bad show, one giving it a 4/10, and another, a 1/10. I've had discussions with them asking why it was low-scoring for them. I'll post this response one gave.

You misunderstand why I felt that way.

You don't want to watch it anymore? I'd say it's better than it was. The random Funeral Parlour missions were dum.

I enjoy Guilty Crown as a production value action fest. It's entertaining, but not deep or original. The music, art and animation kick ass though.

Not entirely sure, but I think you did as well. Of course I'm still going to watch it... I want to see how much the surrounding "environment" changes now that this has happened.

Think the way you did? Nope, that thing that happened in the latest episode kept me interested. And
seeing Shu's new resolve will be awesome.

Daily Yoko is gone, man.

For some reason a few people were complaining there was too much Yoko (crazy, I know), so it's now a One A Day Random deal. Except for RACECAR who has re-appropriated OADY for Yoruichi. Makes me wonder how long he's been waiting for this to happen lol.

Wow, that's very bad. I liked daily Yoko. Can't we have a daily Yoko and a daily random? Best of both worlds!

I agree, but it still pissed me off.

You all know I like Hare ahead of Ayase and Inori - she's so damn adorable. Finally able to tell Shu how she feels about 'em and she dies - she should have healed herself first and then Shu... of course I know she wasn't going to do that which only makes it worse.

Goddammit, Souta. Thinking back to the previous episodes now, I don't think this is necessarily a 'new' resolve - it's basically Shu going back to the way he was before, when Gai looked up to him. Except now, everyone is on his bad side it seems. I feel bad for Ayase right now because she's the proudest of the group at the moment, and is the likeliest to attempt to confront Shu... only to get told off, or called trash.

This GC suspense is killing me! :scared:

WTF Commie! Just release it already :irked:
Where are your sources, man? Mine have been up for like, ever. :p

Wait, you mean you don't watch it at funimation's website? Let me in on it then!

I do not; I do, however, watch NicoNico.

If I'm about to trot into an unsafe zone someone stop me now...

NicoNico is awesome. Best quality you get for Guilty Crown for the simulcast. Though you can only view each episode for a week. After that you have to pay a quarter for the premium membership to watch it after that (Yes it's that cheap right now.). Really glad to see FUNimation form a partnership with NicoNico, it'll do a lot of good for both of them.

OMG, stop with the goddamn DVD releases already. It took you, what, two years to release 00 in the DVD volumes? Blu-ray - it's not that difficult.

You did it for Trailblazer. Blu-ray.

Bandai Entertainment was at the mercy of the companies in Japan that owned and founded them, so you can blame the companies in Japan. After all, they're the ones who made the decision in October (Which was later revealed in the first week of January.) to stop all BD, DVD, and manga releases for Bandai Entertainment. This is one thing.
Bandai Japan forced Bandai Entertainment to bid on its anime licenses, including Gundam. This is insane for several reasons: 1) Bandai Japan was never giving any of its anime licenses to anyone other than Bandai Entertainment. 2) Since Bandai Japan owned Bandai Entertainment, they would tell them what to bid. Which meant in order to "win," Bandai Entertainment had to bid slightly higher than everyone else, which inevitably meant they overpaid for their own products. 3) Because they'd paid a steep licensing fee, BE was forced to charge more and sell an unreasonable amount of product in order to break even -- and then, when they inevitably didn't, Bandai Japan would get pissed. It was a vicious, stupid cycle, and that's before you start trying to sell a 20-year-old cartoon to modern American kids.

This makes me laugh. What was Bandai Japan thinking? You don't put a show that old on Cartoon Network for kids and expect it to do well.
Bandai Japan demanded that Bandai Entertainment get the original '70s Mobile Suit Gundam series on Cartoon Network, despite the fact it was 20 years old, looked 20 years old, and was waaaaaaaay too boring for young American audiences. Cartoon Network, not being insane, refused. Bandai Japan then paid CN to run the original Gundam anime, thus ****ing up the Toonami block for years -- because once CN got paid to run an anime, the CN executives weren't going to run any anime without getting a check for it first. If you've ever wondered why an anime that would seemingly have been perfect for Toonami never, chances are it's because the licensor couldn't afford CN's asking price.
(From the article I posted earlier.)

That doesn't even make a damn worth of sense. I.. whatever. What's Bandai going to do now?

Suuuuureee you didn't ;)

I didn't!

---

The original MSG didn't even work in 1979; what made them think it would work now? Does Bandai not know Gundam is only around now because of them?

While you can count them out of the picture basically, this is what will happen.
Bandai Entertainment, the subsidiary of Namco Bandai Holdings (USA) that handles anime and manga in North America, will stop offering new DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and manga releases next month. It will continue to distribute in its existing catalog lineup, but it will no longer produce and distribute new releases as of this February.

Instead, Bandai Entertainment will focus on licensing rights to other companies, particularly in digital distribution, broadcast, and merchandising. The company will be restructured as a result, and most of its contractors and three of its five fulltime staff members will be laid off. ANN will publish an interview with Bandai Entertainment President and CEO Ken Iyadomi on Tuesday.

Prepare to see the FUNimation logo on a Mobile Suit Gundam box set in the future. I suspect they'll go after it.

As long as the models and figures don't suffer in a qualitative fashion, I'll be just fine.

This is just affecting Bandai Entertainment here, not Bandai of Japan, so the figures over there won't be affected whatsoever.

explain something to me, as I'm at a loss here: Racecar and T-T 12 are posting random pictures of hot girls bcause...? What happened to daily Yoko?

Daily Yoko is gone, man.

For some reason a few people were complaining there was too much Yoko (crazy, I know), so it's now a One A Day Random deal. Except for RACECAR who has re-appropriated OADY for Yoruichi. Makes me wonder how long he's been waiting for this to happen lol.

Here's what happened on my end: I had in mind starting my own One-A-Day deal and talked about it with T12 since the characther I wanted to use also started with a Y. What I had in mind was Us alternating between Yoko and Yoruichi due to that, but that didn't quite happen like I thought it would
Wasn't anything I was waiting for, just sorta happened for some reason.

Wow, that's very bad. I liked daily Yoko. Can't we have a daily Yoko and a daily random? Best of both worlds!

Thats actually what I have in mind, hence I just revised this post.

I started watching Death Note, I've downloaded all the episodes and I just finished the 2nd episode. This anime is awesome! I love Ryuuku for some reason.

Will funimation (if they do) do the voice acting for any future U.S gundam release? ---> Vette
