Well I just finished watching all of the Cowboy Bebop episodes (yeah, took very long to finish cause I watch 1 episode per day on weekdays) and here is my summary of the last episode :)

the ending was really sad. First, when Julia and Spike had finally met each other, them gangs started to chase them and (forgot her name) died in the shop, but later on Julia got shot and died. I was thinking it was bad, then the part when Spike tried to leave Fay and leaving her along was very selfish of him (but yeah, he said "he wanted to see if he could be alive" or something, which really makes sense to me) and the final battle between Spike and Vicious was just dramatic! In the end, Spike shot Vicious and he died on the spot. Then during the last few minutes, the mob finally caught Spike as he was descending down the stairs, and his last word was "bang" before he past out/died on the steps......

Very sad indeed...... :( I almost cried watching that last episode! How good and touching Cowboy Bebop really is..... Now that I finish watching CB, now I can move on and watch WM again! Its been ages since I last watch them, and now that I got all subbed episodes of WM up to Episode 12, I have no excuse not to watch it........ :D

heh, i just watched 13 episodes of tokko. anyone else seen this or know if there are more episodes?

Jin Roh... Haven't heard of that in a long time. Not a bad one but definitely not good enough to live up to the hype recreated by the images for advertising.

Suggestions for what you asked about...

Ghost in the Shell, the first movie (I haven't seen the second), and the first season of "Stand Alone Complex" might fit the bill.
Likewise, Hellsing could be fun for you. 👍
Of course, my current fav is Bleach but that probably doesn't fit the bill. :ouch:

Good luck finding something new!

As for me... I'm just waiting on a good copy of Bleach 167 to be subbed and at the same time I'm looking forward to seeing what is going to happen in 168 (does anyone know when that will be out?).

I think i'll try to watch bleach from the begining, maybe on veoh. I've tried to watch it on Adult Swim but its hard to get into something when you start from the middle or end. I'll check out Hellsing also, thanks for the reference! 👍

PS: Anybody found a subbed 7th eps. for Midnight Wangan?

Soprano 3 1 3: I wouldn't talk about it on the forums but hit me up on msn or yahoo and I can probably give you the link

I started to watch a bit of Code Geas online just to see what adult swim was so happy about... Seems they're just trying to give in to the anime community while being their usual self-righteous, condescending, sub-culture elitist selves. :indiff:

Code Geas doesn't seem too bad. Could be interesting but I'm not nearly as interested in Code Geas (after 2 or 3 episodes) as I am about Ergo Proxy after about 4 or 5 episodes.

I'll let you all know what I think of "Ergo Proxy" once I've viewed all 24 episodes but for the time being I'm entertained and enjoying the unique tale that comes from what seems like a mix of Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, and Frankenstein.
I suggest anyone interested check it out if they haven't already done so (just PM me for info).

Btw, I love how Ergo Proxy used Paranoid Android for the ending song. :dopey:

I personally like it! It seems like from the first episode like a different kind of mecha anime. Feels like a Japanese interpretation of the American revolution in the future w/ the Brits (and Americans?) as the Oppressors, mechs and "terrorism".

Adult swim however still needs to get there heads out there butts.

Code Geas

Well, first I would like to say that I do like the storyline so far. It doesn't seem very deep but I do like it. What I didn't like though was the animation or the way it was styled. I just personally dont like the slim tall stick figure look, accept for maybe in Cowboy Bebop but everything is entirely more detailed in that series. None of the character designs were impressive to me, though the Brittanian soldiers in there SWAT style gears was cool. The mech design was desent, and the cockpit seemed a bit detailed. Overall this series still has enough to keep me intersted, and im ready for the next episode.

Anyone here a "Naruto" fan? I know I am; I've watched the show ever since it first aired!:D

Haruhi-ism... famous among Japan. Oh, about Wangan Midnight... it's the best, but not the best car anime show since Initial D. The S30 is the beast when Akio driving it. I played the PS3 game by Genki and finally have the scenario mode all platinum complete, thanks to the engine swap abilities. I also managed to beat monster class on survival mode to unlock the cars from Shutokou Battle. All I need is the two remaining cards for playing online mode. Anyways, besides that, I did see the last episode of School Days Uncut, and I must say it was more bloody than what was fansubbed from the TV. Let's hope if any US anime companies would get School Days and Wangan Midnight to the states.

By the way, Muzaffar, the dvd covers you got from the picture seems to be from the PS3 game of Wangan Midnight and from Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. Heh, it lacks originality, but it's alright.

I miss Shotoku battle. the Zaku Skyline is my favorite!!! Something more better than Initial D would be a manga called OverBoost. GT: I believe we are all Naruto fans but I am mostly a Hinata Fan ^^"

Well, time for a review. :)
Just started to watch the WM DVD a few days ago, and well, I just love it! :D But to be honest, the subtitle wasn't as good as the fansubs on IDW (OMFG & HG-F) As it was produced locally, you don't expect it to be done exceptionally well. But at least its better than no subtitle. ;) Its not to say the sub was terrible, but somehow they didn't manage to subbed the whole dialog (like the sub says half of the sentences) but I don't mind cause I could understand what the sub is trying to explain...... So far, I'm at episode 3 and hopefully I could start watching the other DVD set by next week.

Bah, your totally right on that. 👍

To nk4e: I didn't know you were a Hinata fan! Me, Tenten & Temari are my favorites! Mostly because they're hot!:sly: And by the way, if any one of you was in the show "Naruto", what character would you be and why?

I would be my own person. Though the black Cloak from KH2 is very cool and ninja ish. One Episode says it all" Ballad of Fallen Angels"

I thought you guys might really like this.

The anime news network provided info.
I followed the links. :sly:

Eventually I got to this...

Enjoy!

Edit:

Same material... Just streaming here on the GTP through youtube tags. :sly:

Wow..,
Thanks for the link. IMO American action, and superhero cartoons haven't been interesting since the mid to late 90s.

This is just whats needed, someone else with a new style to take charge.

Looks to me like the "Animatrix" played a big part in the creation of this new Batman work. 👍
With that in mind, I'm sure atleast one of the various parts will be of a traditional anime style. The others will be a mix from what I can gather.
At any rate, I suggest everyone check out the preview from the "Gotham Knight" link and not the Youtube version.
The original GK link gives a different video (I was mistaken saying they were the same). The video on the GK site seems to show more animation. 👍

Anime style is a fan made drawing technique to design from a variety of Western cartoon characters to Japanese cartoon characters. It's the same thing as calling it manga style. You usually find it in Deviantart, as if they were mimicking the drawings from different manga authors. I am learning to draw manga as well, but right now I haven't done one in my computer yet. I got a pen tablet a month ago and I am willing to use it.

You sure about that definition? Because it could be that Anime style is big eyed, big expressions, big hair and big headlights.Because I believe that Anime style is more humanly expressed and more creative than the Westerner style of drawing. If you do look at it, State side drawing is majority focused on Heros, Villians and the Damsel in distressed. ( I may be wrong ) But sometimes it includes alot of drama.
Manga, takes Anime a bit more strictly. Close to Westerner style but it has that innovated creativity to it. Like Ninja Scroll or GoGo 13 for example, but this is a small belief on what I think "Anime or Manga Style it is" Well, if you want to I do have a DA account and somehow I bet you can guess the address.

I may be sure, but that's how I define it. Several fanartists use manga style drawings and like this Filipino manga-ka from Cebu, Bleedman, who did the Powerpuff Girls doujinshi, also used manga style drawings. He is a fanartist actually, but sometimes considered as a manga-ka.

This is the three examples of a manga style drawing:

Ben 10

Codename Kids Next Door

X-Men

Look them up, and you'll get my definition. These are done very well by different fanartists.

Just wanted to let you all know...
Macross Plus is on Sci-Fi's Ani-monday at this very moment.
Not sure how long it will be on but I'd expect another half hour or so. Hopefully somebody out there will appreciate this heads up.

Yea right now im watching Tokko. Unfotunately I missed Macross.

Off topic: Kent, any ideas on when TCv3 (Tuner Challenge vers. 3, GT4 Competition) will end, or 4 will begin?

I think he meant Time Crisis 3 and Time Crisis 4. I like them on the arcades, but not on the ported Playstations.

I want to see Kanon 2006, but I don't think I can download them due to the Japanese recording on television. I would go buy the Kanon 2006 DVD Box Set. All episodes = saving money.

There is always Wiki and Wild Dog!!!

But I love TC1 on the system because the small cheat it has on the title screen
House of the Dead series is starting to bore people
1 and 2 were tight
3- Shotgun action
4- Why would people leave uzi's in a laboratory

I have a copy of Time Crisis 1 on the Playstation1 with the gun and all, it was a great buy. 👍 👍

Regarding Anime...
I just watched Shippuden 60 and Bleach 171.
Mixed bag this week but at least both came out on time.

Shippuden was awesome. Plenty of action, lots of developments, and conflict among the main players has begun on several fronts. 👍 Definately worth the time to watch if you're looking for a good episode to pick-up Shippuden. With the new enemies revealing their skills and plot, I'd say Shippuden is going well (I'm happy with the all around quality of the show).

Bleach on the other hand seems to be at a low point. :scared:
The new enemies are coming out and nothing seems to be as good as what we've seen in the past. That said, there's still plenty of time for developments since not too much of the enemy has been made clear. None the less, after kuchki (sp?) and then capt. aizen and his boys (grimmjow and what not), I can't really say the new enemies are shaping up to be nearly as powerful or interesting.
Then again, I can't see the makers of Bleach messing up and doing future stories with enemies neither as powerful or as cool as what has already been done in the past.
I just hope they don't mess up.

With all that aside, I've also finished Ergo Proxy (not sure if I mentioned that here yet)... EP was a good series and I may find the time to talk about it more in-depth but for now I'll just say it was enjoyable and well balanced (action, story, etc). My only problem with EP was the concept driving the whole story didn't live up to the quality with which that story was told.
