I'd go for the LE for Madoka Magica, SO SEXY. And if Fate/Zero is LE only, they'd be insane not to restock it.
It indeed is sexy. The one problem I have with it, the collector's box for Madoka is cardboard, not chipboard which is the standard for LE releases here now.

As for restocking F/Z, it wouldn't be a very good business decision. Sure Garden of Sinners ($400) sold out, but how many people wanted it? They brought over only 800 copies.
It'd be funny if they dish out a ton of LEs....like EA does with NFS nowadays
LE's are everywhere for anime now. Many shows come out LE only. Oreimo was LE only (Now sold out), Sound of the Sky is LE only (I hope that doesn't sell out before I can get it.), Kimi ni Todoke is LE only, and I could go on. It's not hard to find LE's, especially now after FUNimation brought back LE's. If it's 12-26 episodes, it'll get an LE. I own 2 FUNimation LE's.

Scratch that, make it 3. The Dragon Boxes were LE's. They weren't solicited originally as such, but FUNimation later said they were limited (Which caused panic for DBZ fans.). Boxes 1, 2, and 4 are all hard to find/going for inflated prices. Dragon Box 4 is going to be a pain in the ass to get. Thank gawd I got 1 and 2 when I did, especially 2 which very soon after I got it (I think I got the last one Rightstuf had.), it started to disappear, and then bam, it's going for $300 on Amazon, 10 times what I paid for it.

So it's not really LIMITED then...
What? Fate/Zero? That is being listed as limited over here, in Japan it isn't to my knowledge-I won't be surprised if it does get listed as such-(However, once it sells out here, no English booklet, and importing it will be a pain. It's $100 more at CDJapan than at Rightstuf.). Garden of Sinners, Aniplex USA's first import was listed as limited on both sides of the ocean.

800 copies were brought over here for $400 at select retailers. It was up for pre-order for almost 2 months, and then, the Rightstuf counter appeared with 50 left copies days before it came out. It was soon reduced to 0 before the release date (Exactly one year ago yesterday.) basically. It sold 25,000 in its first week in Japan, and a few months later, it completely sold out. You can't get the set anymore, well at inflated prices that is.

If you can find so many Limited Edition copies, it's not really "limited" if you think about it. What I'm trying to point out is that this "LE this LE that" is quite silly, regardless if that's how it's addressed.

I still don't get it. Why do you have to question the use of "LE" that many times?

Also, to put facts in, Minnesota actually ranks pretty high for most educated states.

Because....

It's still LIMITED in the end. Originally LE's for anime here would be limited to 15,000 copies (That number has dramatically shrunk over the years.). For instance the first LE for InuYasha, it was limited to 15,000 copies IIRC (It sold out years ago.).

Now when you talk about Japan, it gets ridiculous. Madoka Magica's BD was LE only, and the first single is still on sale after having sold so far a jaw-dropping 75,000+ copies, 53,000+ of which were sold in week 1, breaking the sales record originally held by Bakemonogatari's final volume (51,000+ in week 1.).

Then there's Spice & Wolf. The BD box came out in like January 2009. You could only get it until like March, and after that, it's gone. That was an LE run.

Because....
That's of different anime, not the same anime. Do you want me to name off what has an LE here (Even if it has a regular edition)?

I can do it as a lot came out in 2011 thanks to FUNimation, Aniplex USA, Bandai Entertainment, and NIS America.

Because it interests me greatly, and it's part of the hobby I'm passionate about.:rolleyes:You have no idea how I long to see the week 1 sales numbers for Nisemonogatari Volume 1 and Fate/Zero BD Box 1.

If it's Limited Edition from Aniplex, I doubt they will restock it. Case in point: OreImo.

Lucky for me I get paid friday and my federal tax return is monday. So that's like $3K.

Indeed, Oreimo hasn't been restocked. That thing, I'm still kicking myself in the foot over failing to get it the very night it was selling out.

It came out in October, was available for pre-order for like 3 months, and it sold out the first week of December. Now it's going for $500 on Amazon. I wish Aniplex would consider a one last encore print run for it (This has happened in Japan where they'll do one last encore printing.) because it clearly over-performed it seems.

I had a perfect opportunity to buy it, but I chose not to *trollface*

Can't sleep, watching Nichijou instead :D

Can't Sleep? Watching Bebop will remedy that. I heard it works wonders for you. ;)👍

I'm listening to the strange Ali Project group with their really really weird style of music. It's like they audio-vomitted on a song, puts some weird filters on it and then listened to that for inspiration.

I'm kicking myself over failing to see the counter. You know that order I got in early December, all of Clannad, After Story, and Rurouni Kenshin: T&B? That was the order that could have had Oreimo.

The night I was ordering stuff, I ordered Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, but failed to see Oreimo selling out. The thing was, I wanted T&B more, but it wasn't selling as fast. It's still on-sale at Rightstuf for $65.
:ouch:

You know what people should do? Email Aniplex USA about considering one last print run for the box set. Clearly it would work given how fast it sold out.

Finish Bebop, and don't you dare fall asleep during a single episode, otherwise I'll take a Deathsperation shot, and beat you up in a pair of boxers.:grumpy:

(Kudos to anyone who knows what show the terms I used came from.)

Just sent this email to Aniplex of America.
So as you know, Oreimo sold out in a little over a month. I'm wondering if there is any chance Aniplex of America could consider doing one last encore print run for the box set due to how quickly it sold out. Many Oreimo fans like me are left kicking themselves over not having the set. We wanted the show, but it sold out. I don't think a single DVD box set (That wasn't an import.) of an anime released in a limited edition only format has sold out this quickly.

It's not like I'm asking for something like Garden of Sinners to be brought back into print on Blu-ray as that is risky, and would be probably too costly to be worth it, but for Oreimo it probably would be.
If this doesn't happen, the only thing I foresee is maybe a Blu-ray box next year with English subs brought over here for $350-$370 and an English translated booklet.

Another already does that. It's just Another show. Zing!/Lamest joke ever
