Hmm I missed almost a day... Just read through a crap load of pages..👍

New ep of P4 = LOL fest

I LOVE YUNO !!!!! Marry me!!!

Well, I can easily see where your minds are all at.

Also, I am waiting for the day when TC lives up to being Otaku (self proclaimed Anime cool kid, remember guys) and watches fansubs on stuff that may never get a license over here.
Or, there's always the option of importing if the show is still in print in Japan. I even have plans to import shows I like enough that are only legally streaming here, and might not ever get that physical release. Rinne no Lagrange for example already fits that bill.

Were you replying to something sly said yesterday at 9?

Okay, I'm only 2 episodes into the second season of Rosario + Vampire...but...do they EVER mention Tsukunai's vampire powers EVER again? I mean, he obviously got some from Moka, but then they just disappeared. Granted, I think for how the show was going, having Tsuknai turn into a monster, would a stupid idea, but...Moka shared her blood with him to save is life. Meaning, she made him a vampire...but...yet, she didn't. So, then, how does one become a vampire in this world?

Other than that, it is rather interesting to have Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi together again. Those two, for those who don't know, played Jo and Meg in dubbed version of Burst Angel. Monica pretty much plays a mellower version of Jo. Same quite, stalker/loner type. It's also interesting how little their characters interact in R+V.

No, they don't. In the manga they do, and in fact, he later goes out of control and becomes a ghoul, a killing machine. Another reason why the manga is much better.

She actually did make him become a vampire in the anime however. What you saw at the end of season 1 is how one becomes a vampire.

You only say this because she's good looking. Put a burn on her face and you never would've liked Asuka.

Ouch, that must have hurt... He got you there Sephy

Anyway, up to episode 5 of Bakemo. This really is something else. While in it's core it's really nothing especial, it has this layer of awesome that makes it unexpectedly interesting and original. It's pretty much built on cliches, but they are cleverly disguised, parodied even, to the point they feel fresh and new. Color me stunned.

Into Madoka 6. What a freaking diference high quality makes, I'm finally noting several details that were absolutely lost the first time around.

also, here is explanation about what I was saying yesterday about Oreimo looking awesome: even if it does not have crazy stuff or amazing battles like Madoka for instance, Oreimo looks great every damned second. You have the same quality of graphics and animation in every scene, be it a close up or when they are far away, the colors are always crisp, things that move look amazing, etc.

In Madoka, for instance, when they are far away they are so poorly drawn you can hardly make out who's who, and when an element in the background is gonna move or something, you know it because, you know, it pops.

I absolutely know that Madoka's style is completely different to Oreimo's, and Madoka certainly has it's strong graphic points, specially the witches' scenery; Oreimo just looks great every single second.

also, unlike Mayuri -I don't remember who said she was one of anime's greatest characters or some stupid nonsense like that-, Homura IS one of anime's greatest characters. She's won her place.

I agree with that Homura comment.

We told you Bakemonogatari is awesome. Except Sephy of course, he has no taste.

Picked up this Vash today for $6:[/IMG]
👍

That gundam collection is too packed.
Holy shtt. Tsukihi's OP is freakin' adorable.
Not really.

Nisen 8 is packed with such good fanservice. It teases you for so long, yet creating something kinky out of an ordinary task in life.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to post about this elsewhere like the loser I am.

That's what I thought. And what I'm trying to say. Why show that if they're never going to deal with it again. As a writer, that's really frustrating. I mean, I can understand sticking with the idea that the girls always have to same him, but...

HE BECAME A VAMPIRE! Do something with that, or don't show it at all. Yeah, it wouldn't follow the manga, but you're not following the manga anyway, and it would keep people from going, "wait, didn't he become a vampire at the end of the last season?"

To be fair, Tsukunai hasn't really been rescued once. Moka's true vampire has come out, but not really for any good reason. Although, she did have to speak with her sister. Other than that...there hasn't been a good reason for her to appear...other than she's the coolest character in the series.

Now, I might have to read the manga for this series.

You won't regret it, trust me. When they made the anime, they took out so many things that made the manga great, and set itself apart from other ecchi series, and just left in the fanservice and romanctic comedy aspects. One of my main complaints is they took out many of the conspiracies from the manga (I was a sucker for those.). Another big complaint I have is when they had events from the manga in the anime, they were out of order. Like one event early in the series
Tsukune nearly being killed by the disciplinary committee, and his friend's finding out he's human
was placed near the end of season 1.

Don't get me wrong, I still found both seasons of the anime to be good, but they pale in comparison to the manga.

Forgot to post about this, Reborn! 29-36
Wow, just wow. This show might just become one of my favorite Shonens easily. This new arc with the seven Vongola rings, can't wait for it to really pick up. Also, who is that guy with one of the rings who I think he is, Mukuro? And I wonder, who will train Gokudera as Shamal didn't accept his offer? There's little time left before the Valia find out the rings they stole were actually fakes.
Also was looking around, and it seems in Japan, they released 5 box sets for all 203 episodes (The 5th one comes out March 21st.), and I can get them for under $300 each at Amazon Japan (So, under $1,500 for all 203 episodes.). I probably will sometime go for it as Reborn!'s future here in North America is grim. The manga is on an indefinite hiatus after 16 volumes as of 2010 (There's 33 some in Japan right now.), and VIZ is just streaming the anime subbed (They started years after CR started legally streaming it.). I'm wondering if anyone will ever be interested in bringing out an R1 release for this great series.

The boxes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Really liking what I'm seeing here for how one of them looks in this video I found (Takes up the majority of this video, the end has a bunch of singles, and the first box set.).

It's funny because nobody here is capable of answering your questions. I heard the first 20 or so episodes were horrible, I should get the first ep to see just how bad it is.

Ever heard of questions you ask, that you don't expect to get answered by other people, or even want them to? I'm pretty sure Jeff has asked questions like those before for shows most people here are either not far enough in, or wouldn't touch like Gintama and Naruto Shippuden.

As for the first 23 episodes, they're not really terrible. It's just a daily life arc. Just various things that happen around Tsuna and everyone after Reborn comes around. It's good, but the meat of the show where the story and enjoyment is at its strongest is during the mafia battles.

Also you'd probably get annoyed by Reborn (Mainly his outfits.), Tsuna running around in his boxers, or if you go past episode 1, you'd get annoyed by Lambo (Adult Lambo you could handle.) and I-Pin.

Rhetorical questions, yes.

All I can say about Reborn right now is that the art is seriously weak.

Well, we have a final episode count for Bleach now. MAL is listing 366 as the final episode count. Oh how in like 6 weeks it'll go under "Completed", and then I'll see that episode count drop dramatically for "Watching", and then go up a lot for "Completed".

To be honest, I really like the artwork.

I really underestimated this show. So far it has completely shattered my expectations in every way.

With that being said, I'm about 2 minutes in and I already want to gouge my eyes out. Reborn is one of the weirdest characters I've seen in an anime ever, it's a talking baby that tries to be badass, really. The opening also sucks and further proves my "dinky flame" and "weak art" comments.

I think the talking baby goes to show that originality isn't always a good thing.

I lasted 5 minutes. Tsuna's VA is a little bitch.

That's what I gather from the Wikipedia page on the series. The other thing that bugs me a little bit is that it brought up the fact that Moka and Kokoa are two of four sisters in the Shozen family, and the artists even bothered to create silhouettes for the other two...despite the fact the anime never mentions the other two sisters. Apparently, they're later discussed in the manga, but the anime doesn't. So, I will admit, while the anime is fun, the writers kinda suck in comparison. They keep making the "Hey this could make for an interesting side story if we were to ever further touch on this subject, but we're not going to" faux pas. It's something that's usually found in movies (mostly bad ones) and is usually a result of someone actually going, "this would be a good idea" and then they just never develop the idea. In anime, it ends up being more of "Well, this was in the manga, so we should include it." Which is fine if you're going to stick with the manga. If you're not, then there's no REAL point in putting stuff from the manga into it. And there have been some big animes have really have nothing to do with the manga at all. Like Ghost in the Shell for example. Motoko Kusanagi in the manga, anime and movie are three completely different characters. They all have very different personalities, an yet, the manga, the movie and the series are all very successful and very good. (Granted, the movies and series did take something from the original manga, but it's really taken three movies and two seasons of the anime to touch on half of what went on in the manga and...they usually did an awesome job when they did. It wasn't some out of the blue, never going to mention it again thing.)

It is crazy, though, because I would LOVE to hear more about Moka's other sisters...much more than the rest of the second season...And in the manga, it appears her older sisters actually end up playing bigger parts....anyway. Sorry for the rant.

WHYYY !!!!!!!!!!!!! Mirai Nikki 18 had to be a cockblock special... Makes the cliffhanger worse :yuck:.

Nvm ... Just another one of my Judge a book by its cover moments... Really need to watch the whole episode before making accusations.
