Puella Magi Madoka Magica works on just about every level. That the series has been such a monster-sized phenomenon is no surprise; this thing is operating at a level far above most productions, and the fact that it concludes so well is just the icing on the cake. The best part is, the show is structured so perfectly that the thrilling, edge-of your-seat story reveals that happen throughout change the show so dramatically that a second watch is practically required, taking in the early episodes with all the terrible knowledge you've gained. Time will tell us whether or not this show will be remembered as fondly as it's regarded by the fan community now, but it feels like a masterpiece, something to be appreciated again and again. It is a must-see for anyone remotely interested in what anime can accomplish as an art form.
Missing out, indeed. Ah, well. Someday you'll finally watch it and go "ugh, and the guys at the anime thread told me to watch this 869576 years ago... should have listened".
He's not going to listen, just let him be. He'll eventually realize there's better shows than what he's watching already, and if he doesn't, oh well too bad.
That 90's made me go lol & gross at the same time XD

I found a fighting game that has like (I'M GUESSING) A and i repeat A hentai character in it (The girl with the silver hair & rocket launcher) from (that i currently have) called Daiakuji, and too tell ya the truth i am really shocked to see this because its just a big-ass fighter with characters from this company called Alice Soft Works (I'm guessing the other characters are from hentai too cause...WHY NOT?)
This is the games cover also its called Alice Senki 2
and (I think) actual art from (for?) the show (porn)
If this wasn't a hentai i think it'd actually be a really good show (with off-screen rape of course) but i only watch the special episode that comes with it caaaaaaause....i dunno.
Because ADV's license finally expired. You could try the singles. I have no idea what the prices are on those right now, but hopefully they're not inflated.
Considering the fact it's very, very hard to be really original anymore, I'd say yes.
When you've seen about as much anime as me, you'll at times have tons of other titles popping into your head every time you start a show, or when you're done with a show.
Why I just finished Serial Experiments Lain last night, and that ending reminds me A LOT of Madoka's ending (An ending that popped up 13 and a half years after Lain). I can say the creators took a page out of SE Lain's book.
Now why Lain's ending reminded me so much of Madoka? Well...
It's the same old reset ending. Lain does something, the world resets, nearly everyone forgets about her completely.
In Madoka, Madoka makes her wish, everything's all happy-joy-joy (Minus the new conflict Homura faces), and nearly everyone forgets about her completely due to the reset.
This type of thing has been done so many times before, in so many different series, I can hardly find it amazing anymore. It's pretty much a cliche now.
TL;DR version: There's better action shows to watch that don't end on a low-note like Deadman Wonderland.
Better action shows you could be considering instead which I think you'll get into fairly easily are:
-Guilty Crown
-Persona 4
-Darker than Black
-Mirai Nikki
-Soul Eater
And for lesser compatible but (arguably) better Action shows:
-Hellsing
-Fate/Zero
-Elfen Lied
-Claymore
That was well before I even hit the point where the show diverges from the manga, or anywhere near the end. It was back before I was in the 20's that I recommended it.
I still recommend the show as overall it's excellent, even though the ending royally sucks.
I don't care what you had to say about Durarara!! Because I saw two characters from another of my most favorite(and never gonna forget it!) Anime called Baccano. And Baccano had these two characters who'd put a smile on the face of the grumpiest person in the world.
And it turns out that the ending of Baccano that you see these two in shows that Durarara!! Is (in my opinion) some kind of follow up on the strange things that happen in the world.
LONG LIVE THE DOLLORS!
And now I think I'm going to watch this little show called Strike Witches. I was trying SOOOOOOOO HARD to watch it last year but the voice acting and the first 2 minutes of it was so girly that I felt ashamed of watching it in front of myself! But I had too remember today that I play girly-ass fighters like Arcana Heart 3 in front of my own parents without thinking twice.
