I don't seem to mind action type anime dubbed as much. I think when it comes to cute sad stuff, English just doesn't cut it.

On another note. I am running out of anime to watch other than stuff that is currently playing so I have to wait for it. Now, every time I finish an anime it takes me a day or 2 to find another one worth watching. I'm afraid my choices are becoming more and more limited, and I may actually have to find another way to spend my time.

Start watching Soul Eater. It is good stuff.

I'm enjoying Beck 15 and 16 (love "Hit in the USA" By the Beat Crusaders!! :D :sly:) now after watching Shonen Jump's Black Cat... Hmm first season School Rumble after that... :) --- Randy

-> ...
I hate dubbed anime in general. The Japanese do it much better.

Just don't..especially the English Dub.
^ What hateful remarks on dubbed animes there. I believe these remarks are based on the english versions.

-> Sure I do agree that the english versions are generally sub-par at best especially earlier ones (from the 80's and 90's).

-> On the other angle of the spectrum, I also watch tagalog dub's. And back in the mid 90's there were a lot of excellent tagalog dub anime. Although like TokyoPop's criminal name alterings, unfortunately some tagalog animes follows these suits:

- Saber Marionette J, Again, & J to X
*
Bloodberry = Barbini

- Yu Yu Hakusho
* Yu Yu Hakusho = Ghostfighter
* Yusuke = Eugene
* Kurama = Dennis
*
Hiei = Vincent
* Kazuma Kuwabara = Alfred
* Genkai = Jeremiah
*
Botan = Charlene
* Yukina = Mikaela

^
And other few not-so well known anime series out there. Sailor Moon was also one of them.

I generally don't have a problem with dubs, though many of the early ones are rather... poor to say the least. Modern dubs seem to be pretty good IMO, while I think some shows have had great dubs (Ghost in the Shell: SAC for example). Now, I also don't mind subs either. It really doesn't make all that big of a difference to me normally. Though, with dubs I am able to multitask more efficiently :sly:
^ I definitely agree with you, through the course of time since the mid 90's, progress was evidently shown. There was a lot of bad dubs, Tenchi Muyo! & Love Hina are one of them.

-> The best dubbed animes are mostly made by ADV notably Full Metal Panic series and Azumanga Daioh!. Which in fact in my opinion better than the original. Luci Christian and Chris Patton are one of the best so far.

I don't seem to mind action type anime dubbed as much. I think when it comes to cute sad stuff, English just doesn't cut it.

^ Also agree on that one too. Very few harem/ecchi type animes did made my cut, Yumeria was one, and Onegai Teacher/Twins are the other.

^ It may be because it depends on the genre you're in. So far, I'm pretty much in a good position in terms of the genres that I used to. :)

Dubs bother me usually. American voice actors just sound like they are reading a script far far too often, rather than trying to act the voice at all. It is just bad.

Anyone else watch Tetsuwan Birdy Decode? Second series episode... err 4 was good :lol:

Started Kaze no Stigma Im into this one.

Finishing Gift later.

NHK no Youkosu anyone? I enjoyed that.

There is Fatal Fury 2 : The New battle,Fatal Fury : legend of the hungry wolf, and Fatal Fury: The Motion picture

I think this the cutest song right now out there... its from Maria Holic and its the ending song.... Kimi Ni Mune Kyun... but sadly it was removed by youtube...

A list of things I'm watching now, so I don't forget:
ToraDora!
Maria+Holic
Bleach (Great, we get out of one filler, and into another. I will never forgive you, Tite...)
Initial D (Still on fourth stage. Dogfight!)
Kurokami
Clannad AS
And hopefully Gift, if I can find it somewhere.
And I need to go to B&N or Border's to see if I can find Mirai Nikki, or Future Diary. It sounds exceedingly interesting:

Yukiteru has always been rejecting any offers to go with friends, and he just keeps writing a diary on his cell phone. He has an imaginary friend, a god called Deus Ex Machina. However, Deus now wants to play a game with Yukiteru, a game of survival. There are twelve contestants, Yukiteru is one of them. The winner of the survival game will become the next Deus Ex Machina. In order to win the game, the contestants must use their diaries to eliminate one another. For Yukiteru to survive, he must team up with another diary holder, a girl by the name of Yuno.

Each player is assigned a number based on the order that Deus modified his or her diary. The diaries now record the future in the same manner their future selves would have written down events that have already happened; the only exception to this rule is when the holder reaches a "Dead End", a time when their lives would be finished without significant intervention. Each diary varies in properties and functions depending on the holder's personality, occupation and lifestyle. All the diaries have their shortcomings, some more so than others, and can be used without the diary owner's consent should they fall into another's hands. Because the diaries are written from the perspective of the holder's future self, the future can still be misinterpreted and the diary entries can then turn out to be inaccurate. Each of the diaries have become the diary holder's future, so if the diary itself is destroyed or broken, so too is the holder's future.

What makes it even better is that most of the characters are borderline psychotic, or completely manic.

That's pretty up there in the cute song charts, but this one is still number 1.

Kodomo no Jikan (こどものじかん) ED

I really need to start that. :ouch: It looks so good.

Another OP that is stuck in my noodle and couldn't get enough of is the OP of Da Capo S.S. I always watched the beginning before every single episode. :)

EDIT: Just noticed, your video is the same singer from Inukami.

Tate's comic book is having their 16th anniversary sale which means, selected Mangas for 3 bucks each and all the other mangas are 10% off. I need a list of some new mangas. Any suggestions? One of them I might start is Pretty Face and Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl..

Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl

At the start of Kashimashi, a young high school boy named Hazumu Osaragi declares his love to classmate and close friend Yasuna Kamiizumi, but she quickly rejects him. Dejected, Hazumu climbs Mt. Kashima and is killed when an alien spacecraft accidentally crash lands on him. To rectify this, the alien in the ship named Hitoshi Sora brings Hazumu back to life, but inadvertently regenerates him as a female right down to the DNA level. This change in Hazumu serves as the catalyst for the development of character interactions for the remainder of the series.

After Hazumu returns back to school, Yasuna unexpectedly professes her love for Hazumu, but this serves only to confuse Hazumu as she adjusts to her new life as a girl. Yasuna, a rather feminine girl, has a unique affliction which makes her incapable of seeing males, and instead sees males as covered in a gray, hazy blur. Hazumu's childhood friend Tomari Kurusu, an athletic girl and tomboy, finds Hazumu's change difficult to cope with. Tomari starts to realize her own romantics feelings for Hazumu as Yasuna starts becoming closer to Hazumu, especially after Tomari witnesses Hazumu and Yasuna kissing one day after school. A conflict arises between Yasuna and Tomari who fight for Hazumu's affection while she is unable to choose between them. This results in a love triangle emerging between the three female main characters. Hazumu's best male friend Asuta Soro also starts having romantic feelings for Hazumu, but tries his best to repress them. Tomari's good friend Ayuki Mari, an intelligent girl interested in the sciences, continuously observes the ongoing development of the love triangle while keeping a stance of watching from afar.

How good does that sound! Can't wait to start it.

Toradora Episode 20.... hmmm interesting... who does he choose... Clannad: AS looks like it might get better... watching Akikan episode 7 (raw however) right now... just watched Maria Holic Episode 7... starting to really, really dig it... especially that ending song! :D Way Too Kawaii!! :D --- Randy

Why?! Why must it keep dying?

Oh, and on that topic, I'm reading Mirai Nikki, and I have to say, it's even more messed up than Higurashi. By far.

EDIT: Just take a look at this:

That sounds like a very screwed up plot, if I am to be honest. Nearly as bad as something I'd make.

I watched it a long time ago after Strawberry Panic, not bad but not as good.
