I can't find that Taka creation on MFC, and that Asuka is posed pretty damn cool, sexy actually.

As for iBRS, my wish came true, but now I'm contemplating whether or not I should get it, because I already ordered Madoka.

Well at least you found it. You seem like you can be a worthy member of our twisted little community, you'd be the first guy that's into cosplay and all that. Keep frecuenting this place and tell us what else you love. And don't talk about Initial D.

Welcome.

Lol, I've hardly even THOUGHT about Initial D in years. I thought it was super-cool to name myself after the protagonist of an obscure car anime when I signed up here back in '02...

Anyway, might as well post a collection pic I took yesterday. Half of these are actually my GF's, lol. We just moved into a new apartment last week, so I took this one for Twitter and FB. No closet space here for all the boxes, so figures are getting displayed boxed. They've all been opened though, we're not into keeping boxes sealed.

Nice collection.

Andy do you know who is making that Asuka figure? I like how her hair is going everywhere.

Thanks!

I just saw that Asuka in a WonFes report, I'll see if I can track it down. Thought it was an Alter but I guess not.

While I can see how keeping them in the box is nice, I personally rather put them on open display. It's nice to know that they aren't enclosed by tight barriers. But damn you have way more stuff than I do. How much money is sitting on those shelves I wonder.

Wow Sega is stepping up their game it looks like.

...Yeah wait for the colour job first. Griffon's unpainted prototypes look promising a lot of times, but then the colour bombs.

Good Smile bombed the Yozora production models pretty badly. The coloured prototype looked drastically different than the consumer ones.

Lucky for me, all the figurines I have turned out pretty close to the prototypes.

BTW, this is long overdue. Finally an update on the prize model. Nothing on Ayase yet, still. Inori is out but it's ugly.

That's a terrible Tsugumi. I hope the Asuka turns out alright.

Well back then it was somewhat obscure, so you're excused.

Nice. I see some sutff in there that I'd really rock, specially the Tachikoma and the girl from Diebuster. I'll have to look for that one. Post what's on the other part of the shelf we can't see.

The Diebuster figure (Nono) is a Monsieur Bome figure, if that helps. As of a couple years ago they were pretty easy to get, not sure about currently.

The other shelf isn't actually anything really interesting, it's just our normal bookshelf. Aside from a few anime magazines and artbooks, 90% of it is just regular English books.

It's two people's combined collections, at least, and we've been collecting for a long time, so it hasn't been as bad of a process as it could be. I prefer open display, too, but there's nowhere to put the boxes at our new place if we displayed the figures openly, since what closet space we have is filled with my GF's cosplay stuff and the boxes from the 15 large-scale dolls that are in her sewing room. (9 Dollfie Dreams and 6 Resin Ball-Jointed Dolls, by the way. They actually put the figures to total shame in value, because they're super limited and almost never get reissued, one of the ones we have is currently going for $2500 in the cheapest listing on eBay!)

We had the dolls displayed out in the classic IKEA "Detolf" cases at the old place, as shown below, but wanted a change, and moving glass cases is a nightmare. (Pic below is older than flickr says it is, BTW, I think it's from last August based on the filename.)

When we move to a new place next year, the figures will end up displayed openly on the same shelves the boxes are currently on, provided there's somewhere to put the boxes.

Whoa Takumi, nais collection.
You like Saber moar than anything.

Haha, only sort of. More like they make tons of nice figures of her, not so many of other characters I'm into. Plus Saber's my GF's big cosplay thing so a lot of them are either hers or ones she "encouraged" haha.

^ Definitely a sexier animation style than the actual show. 👍

Thanks for the clue on Nono. I've found her, I may be gettin' her in the future.

Saber and Miku get remade so much it's dumb.

I've been feeling like that more and more lately. A lot of it is the way they've been portraying Saber lately, too. She used to be a much more original character, and figures reflected that, along with being true to the art style of the original game and then the anime. They've been making her more and more generic lately, taking her from a character with average proportions and a build she's worried is too athletic to this flat-chested, anorexic little waif, a face that could have been taken from any generic h-game moe character, and even her hair has gone from blonde to bright yellow. That's, of course, aside from the few times they've gone with the Fate/Zero portrayal, where she's this tortured bundle of aggression with almost zero likeability. I have a few figures of her left on preorder but those are basically it for me, unless they start making Sabers that follow the original style of the character again. (Where the heck are the Carnival Phantasm figures?)

At least Miku, by nature, is a character that's all about various people's differing takes on her, so I'm more OK with the huge range of figures and style that they've done of her. I'm sure there are some completist collectors out there, but most of the people I know only have a few Miku figures, of whichever portrayal of her strikes their fancy. I think all I've got are the original and Append Figmas, but I'd buy a nice figure of the Senbonzakura version.

I like Saber in the pants suit. Looks badass. Carnival Phantasm is great.

Starting on the English Dubbed version of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt and discovered they got Jamie Marchi and Monica Rial to play Panty and Stocking respectively...which, those two played Meg and Jo in Burst Angel respectively...At least they've worked together in similar roles, before.

It is pretty freggin' awesome thus far. Lots of good and sexy moments and Jamie and Monica really are an awesome team...but...those of us who've seen Burst Angel dubbed, already knew that, so....but it's kinda like an VERY adult version of Power Puff Girls minus Bubbles.

I've kinda been meaning to watch that, just to sort of change it up a bit.

Other than that, I pretty much put everything else on hold until I get through Oreimo, but I'm 2/3 through that and hope to get through the rest before Tuesday.

Good thing I got the subbed version.
