having plans of watching Sankarea and Hyouka.

Blame KENZZ.

Also I'm so busy I don't have the time to watch animu :|

WHY THE HELL DO YOU PLAN TO WATCH THESE DINKY SHOWS? Goddamn, we only watch stuff like that 'cause we've already seen enough good stuff. YOU are wayyy behind, so don't watch Hyouka OR Sankarea.

I have Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (MSAA) and Ex-Driver in my Netflix cue. I'm also waiting for them to get Freezing and Okami-San and I'll probably toss Sekirei Season 2 in there, as well.

Yes to Abenobashi and éX-Driver. 👍

This can be found on Netflix? The more I know. Loved that show. Time to see it again. :)

like I said, blame KENZZ.

KENZZ doesn't matter. He's insignificant.. I mean, who the hell recommends someone Hyouka? REALLY?

lol I was always all ears on his ramblings whenever I talk with him in a chat group.

he recommended Sankarea, and a few days later then kept talking about how a dude's crying is scary in Hyouka.

Konata is definitely moe, but Ganta?

Really? Kind of turns over my understanding of moe.

I kinda stretched it on that one, but moe doesn't have to pertain to girls only. A better example could be Wein from Tari Tari.

I watched an episode of naruto shippuden but was like meehh, cos it's a complicated plot and I'm a lazy bum bum :P
Oh yeah this thread reminded me that I need to finissh wwatching deadman wonderland! LOL
Who else watches that?

Going back to the topic of a few pages ago, moe is something that's really difficult to define. It really refers to the feeling you get when watching certain characters or situations. The only way to really understand it is to watch enough stuff that you get to the point where you recognize it.

Speaking of moe, the waifu collection on my desk has grown again.

Got the Maid Saber and Kuroneko mug today. SAL shipping took forever, I need to just stop being cheap and stick to EMS.

Love the maid Saber, the Kuroneko on your monitor, the mug, the mouse pad, and the Mazda lanyard. 👍

Haha, the 2 isn't as awesome as I wish it was lately. Can't get the stupid alignment straight, and it really needs more mods... The lanyard's actually there because it's attached to my media badge from the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca a couple weekends ago. I'll admit, I was moving stuff for the photo, and when I came across the Historics and Pebble Beach passes, I thought they were cool enough to leave in the photo, lol.

What I'm really excited about is that my GF ordered the Kuroneko maid figure that came out a few months back for me for my bday, which wasn't that long ago, but AmiAmi held it until some other stuff came out at the end of the month, so it's still sitting on the tarmac at Narita waiting for a plane, as far as I'm aware. That figure will definitely end up here on my desk though.

Ah I wish I could have been at Laguna Seca for that. I saw some vids and pics and it looked great once again. I should pick up a Mazda lanyard.

See if you can track down one of these same blue ones, they're actually pretty nice. I have a very worn-out identical one from about six years ago that I've been using as my lanyard at anime cons and stuff for a while. (Although some cons like AX have color-coded lanyards that you have to wear if you're press, staff, or whatever.)

Has your girlfriend ever said something like "Why do you need that Saber figure when you have me?" while wearing the maid outfit? Because that would be awesome.

I'd be much more likely to get a "good thing you have that figure, 'cause I'm not dressing up in that thing for you!" Dating a cosplayer unfortunately doesn't actually involve that much cosplay outside of cons...

She's actually the bigger figure nut in the house, too. Her collection was way bigger than mine when we got together, and most of my iffy-er figures were actually encouraged by her. (Not that I have anything worse than a few maids and swimsuits, but...)

I never thought about using a different lanyard at cons lol. I'll have to get a Mazda one for sure. I only go to one con a year (makes me sad. All my friends are cosplaying at Dragon*Con right now) and all lanyards are the same so I will be good to go.

This might seem like a rude question, but can I wife her?

Lol, I can't exactly stop anybody... You have no idea some of the stuff she gets from some people.

Yeah, I feel that pain. The past couple days have been nothing but "when are you getting to DC?" "are you gonna be here?" "where are you guys staying?" etc. I don't know how everybody in the community affords to go to so many cons, nobody seems to have a job but they're all at a con a month, all over the country... We generally only do two major cons a year, both within driving distance, and a few little local ones.

I can imagine what kind of stuff she'd get  The otaku community is insane and she's a lovely cosplayer, yeah, I can definitely see some creepy stuff. It's cool that she sticks with it through that though.

Yeah that's the reason I only go to one a year. It's close and I am broke lol.

I don't know how a few of my friends afford to make outfits and go to the cons all the time. It makes no sense. Some of them are loaded, but most are as broke as I am.
