They did, Shin Chan, it didn't do so well as I heard. Eureka Seven is also a bit of SOL, and that is bombing again.

I just kinda think they just need to give the 'Slice of Life' genre a chance.

You don't understand the North American perception of "Anime". We (here in this thread) know it differently now that we've been exposed to other genres, but with the said audience, when they hear "anime", they think action shows because they have (without a doubt) visuals that Western cartoon shows usually never do. Plus, when people watch animations, they want to see a lot of eye-catching visuals. Gundam Wing had so much talking it bored the hell out of me when I was a kid. Kids don't want to see people talking. They want to see the characters do something.

But i thought Gundam was Awsome when I was 12ish .

But your point is valid.

However there are some of shows in the area of SOL that would be an ok air for the more latenight mature audience and some would be cheap to pickup because some SOL shows dont even do well in Japan.

Ah, no.

There has not been a single non-action heavy show that has done well for [as] AFAIK, so why would any SOL show work? I'd need to talk to one of the people I follow on Twitter who constantly looks and ratings and knows them to confirm what shows bombed, and what did well. I can assure you, the ones without a lot of action bombed, which I listed earlier.

Though even some action heavy shows have bombed. Code Geass bombed, and the only reason [as] continued to air it was because Bandai paid them to.

The boots are off; she going to kick some booty next chapter!

It has to happen this time because Moon Young and Dal Dal are picnicing off to the side with Song Jaegu without a care in the world. What led up to this moment felt forced though.

Anyways, not many people can help outside of pm's.
Never ask for illegal sites on GTP.
I love Haruhi so much. Such a good show.
Moe! Died when she kept groping the junior. I live her.
Eventually, I will like Haruhi, but so far, I'm all over Kyon.
Up till now, he's the most entertaining character.
Like how he is so bored he lets Haruhi boss him around.
The way he checks out all the girls.
I'm in love with him, and yes, I'm straight.
Man, this show is turning into such a ride.
Anyways Vocaloid02, there is always google.

Nobody can compete with Nagato when it comes to Haruhi characters, although the first season doesn't do much with her. The character as she develops in the novels is major MAI WAIFU status, though. You can tell she becomes the author's favorite character to write as the series goes on.

Re: Adult Swim, they're not gonna put slice of life stuff on there because it's not episodic enough for American mainstream TV broadcast, it requires way too much understanding of anime tropes and Japanese culture, and most of all, nobody wants to listen to a bunch of middle-aged women badly pretend to be teenagers.

Finished off Black Lagoon Second Barrage. I gotta say, that series is easily one of my favorites. It is simply just an awesome series. Of course, in between seasons I saw the Gilda episode of MLP and Gilda is voiced by the same lady who voiced Revy in Black Lagoon...which just made Gilda both cool and scary at the same time.

It started off good(first two episodes), but then the writers decided to make Kirito overpowered and fill the story with stupid stuff.
I felt it was good up until around the time
Asuna and Kirito got married
but yeah.

Show just really went downhill. It could have been one of the greatest shows ever made, but it's now becoming one of the worst, and the massive hype it has doesn't help.

This show really needed much better planning.

Yeah totally true. I don't know if it ever would've been one of the greatest of all time, but a good show it definitely could have been.

Seriously, what happened to Asuna? She was a super-hardcore badass, one of the top players, but suddenly she's borderline useless unless she's being Kirito's sidekick.

And season 2... they had a great opportunity to make Kirito actually struggle for once. But nope, he's the biggest badass in town within minutes.

Everyone, because it's the Kyoto Animation show. I'd be watching if it weren't for the fact TAN got it, so that means a :censor: video player (Especially in HD because buffering hell), and also I have to get their subscription to watch past episode 1.

Not getting their subscription at the moment as I'd hardly use it right now. I'm sticking with just CR for now.

Well it's the end of yet another oldy in WSJ. The Reborn! manga is now ending after 8 years.
http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2012/10/30-1/ending-of-reborn-manga-planned

I'm not caught up on the manga (I'm not past the freaking Daily Life arc), so I can't really say much (From what I heard, the recent arc that finished fixed most of the loose ends), but I think it's better to end the series here rather than continue it on, and let marketing make the quality go down (It's what dragged down Bleach and Naruto). It'll be sad to see it go, but all things must come to an end.

I can only wonder if the anime will continue though. It's been two years since it ended. The chances of them pulling an InuYasha: The Final Act are low however due to a few things...

-The series was never InuYasha popular in both anime and manga form.
-The series when it was on TV didn't get very good TV ratings, hence one reason why it ended.
-It was animated by Artland, a small studio who has done assistant work only since Reborn! ended (Apparently they are doing something again with a show that's premiering this Winter), not Sunrise, a big-time studio.
-Popularity of the manga is going to drop dramatically as when a manga ends, that's what happens. It's why InuYasha: The Final Act crammed 20 volumes into 26 episodes, they had to hurry to get the conclusion out as the manga for InuYasha had literally ended last year. Popularity was dropping, so interest in watching another anime was dropping as well.

If it does happen, definitely going to be hyped up for it. I just absolutely love this series, and I feel it's a Shonen that really manages to stand out with its characters and its intricate story (I'm surprised at how many things are coming from a freaking Shonen of all genres...).

I haven't seen it. Judging by the tone of your comment though, it seems like your avatar suits your facial expression.

A lot of girls I know love that show.

Yup. Some of my friends go crazy about it. I mean...really really crazy.

That programme sums up exactly what you need for a party. Bizarre comedy that everyone can enjoy, attractive males for the hetero/bisexual women, and hetero/bisexual women watching for any hetero/bisexual men or homo/bisexual women to have a once in a lifetime opportunity to sit in the same room as!

Seriously, straight girls and gay boys only love that show more than gay girls and straight boys because they like all the bishonen's it has. That programme is very funny!
