Life advice: Punning the name of a work one dislikes with the word poo is always seen as a sign of maturity.

And seriously, watching FLCL only up to episode 4 is the greatest disservice that one can do imaginable. Episode 5 is easily the greatest work of art in the history of the world, if only for the sheer amount of gun fire in it.

Actually, that's an interesting question, just how many times is a gun depicted as being shot in FLCL episode 5?

Is it called Fooly Cooly or flcl I asked this question when you suggested it to me and the reply's were Fooly Cooly ? And I went up to episode 4 and it was absolute gash (in my opinion). By looking at the chaps previous anime/manga watch list I don't think he would enjoy it like i didn't enjoy it after you hyped it right up.This is a anime thread I assume and not just this hooly pooly guff , how you can compare this to akira is beyond belief :odd:. Please don't take this as a dig its just one opinion of many in this thread, but to say not to trust me and implying I am stupid (2nd time) because I don't know anything about a anime I didn't know about is a bit daft. All I know is I watched two hours of it and that was way to much time.

As I said, FLCL is not for everyone. One more name to the list. Sadly, you didn't watch the most awesome episode of the show, as already @Roger the Horse said. The final episode also clarifies a lot of the weird stuff.

Yeah, after seeing the final episode, the rest of the show makes a lot more sense. Makes even more sense the third time around.

Personally, I'm not big on GITS, but I've only seen the movie, which my friends and I thought was overrated as hell. Maybe the rest of the franchise is better, but I've got things more pressing than that to take in.

Anyway, I just realised that I haven't seen Castle of Cagliostro yet. Somehow. Only Miyazaki I have left to watch.

At London Film and Comicon this weekend. Imagine my vast disappointment after starting into the world of Anime, only to find that it's entirely Westernised and no-one cosplays here.

What few Anime stalls were here didn't stock any of the shows I've enjoyed, though one stall is selling Homura figures that I imagine extacticus will be buying immediately.

The con as a whole is just an expensive memorabilia-fest, though. :/

In other news, I will be having some of that Homura, methinks. It will be entirely possible to blow the day's budget in one swoop with stuff like that lying around. This weekend is going to be a fantastic shopping trip for me; I think I might pack even more money. :X
 
Is the new GITS even good, I mean I read about it and have seen a few screen shots. I'm not too happy about Batou character change looks and very disappointed by how Saito now looks and seems. Since Saito was always my favorite character in the series.

Well everything you said was the fears I had with the ova's/movies the art and character restyled but this is set when the section 9 was set up so there all younger .. Aramarki even has hair colour. Saito is one of my favourite characters too and its just a art change really after you watch the first one you sorta forget about the art ..... Everything is still gits but with adifferent look .
 
Also at LFCC with Mr Coffee this weekend. Suddenly I need to find room for a Kill la Kill poster which is probably the only one around that contains no fanservice at all. But retains all the badassery.

And breaking news! eX didn't actually buy anything Homura related. :p

Not particularly, because of how incompetent Daisuki has been since it started.

Crunchyroll is also streaming it, and that's going to get a hell of a lot more traffic.
 
So, I just finished the blue exorcist and that was unexpected. Also where can I see the movie I've known it was out since 2012 but I never watched the series til then. Thanks.
 
So with Diamond in the Rough finally finished, I'll see if I can watch all of it tonight.
Thankfully I already know my OC fanfic should be fine. But this'll still be telling me more.
 
Dat Dugtrio meme coming to life. Funny one to pull off. Would've been super cool if they used their builds to Coldplay as muscular characters, something not enough male anime fans can pull off.

Hah don't make me laugh. Had the blu-Ray and even the Red-ray edition 3 months ago. Red-Ray's Blu-Ray's successor in case you haven't noticed yet.
 
LFCC was rad; I bought DVD box sets of Strike Witches Season 2 and Cat Planet Cuties, the K-On High School and K-On College manga books, the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack (all four CDs of it), and a Kuroneko wall scroll. Got to hang out with Wiegert and CoffeeGrunt, too, which was awesome. :3

All in all, a good day! I'd love to go to MCM and/or something like Hyper Japan, but... after I've replenished the cash supplies. My wallet can't sustain such heavy damage so frequently. :X
