When this account was made back in 2007.. i used to be a pretty decent (non-windchart reading) Gunbound player, who enjoyed using one of the most advanced characters in the game called trico.

I stopped playing gb like in 2009?... AOS is a spawn off of another name I used...10 times more original than it too
 
Too many pages to read through but it seems like everyone pretty much has the same taste when it comes to anime. I think japanese ppl suck at making real life movies and should only stick to anime =P. Some might disagree with me. Anyways, some of my favorite series are...

Initial D (of course)

Afro Samurai
Iron Man
Wolverine (only 3 ep so far)
DragonBall Z
Ranma 1/2
Boondocks


Can't really think of anymore ATM but if I do I'll come back and update the list.
 
@AOS, I never got into GunBound...only RO and SilkRoad. Ying_yang, have you watch Zotachi THe blind Swordsman? or Battle Royale? Asian Film is awesome! Especially the horror ones if you look up the backgrounds at times.
 
That's Zatoichi the Blind swordsman, and yes, it's great. I love Tampopo, too, was going to mention these as examples. Shall We Dance was another good one imo. and of course Arika Kurosawa's whole catalogue, Seven Samurai, etc.
 
Battle Royale can be compared with Lord of the Flies. Though can you guys find the anime references in this video:

gonna self-glorify for a minute here... been to ann lately? notice anything different when you click on "details" with regards to an anime or manga's ratings? yeah, I made a suggestion recently which was adopted by the website. now you don't just get a "#192 bayesian estimate", you get "#192 out of 4317" instead to give you a frame of reference.

just feels nice when you have an idea to contribute to something you appreciate and it gets implemented.

Those in bold aren't Anime. At least not Japanese Anime. They're American Anime. All the animation is done by American animation studios. I think Boondocks and Alfro Samurai had Japanese animators, but they're still American and not true anime.

Actually, Iron Man is would be considered as Japanese. It takes place in Japan and Madhouse makes it.
Marvel Anime is a four-part anime project with collaborations from both Marvel Entertainment and Madhouse. The project will take famous Marvel characters and reintroduce them for a Japanese audience in a 12-part series.[1] The announcement was confirmed at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. According to former Madhouse President and CEO Jungo Maruta, Marvel is giving the anime studio "free reign" [sic] to re-imagine the Marvel superheroes for Japanese audiences. It is unclear how different from the original source material this version will be.[2] The series will be released in Japan in October 2010 and throughout the world in 2011.[3] It will air in Japan on Animax and in the United States on G4.[4] The series will be guided by Warren Ellis.[5] Trailers have been released for both Marvel Anime: Iron Man,[6] and Marvel Anime: Wolverine.[7] X-Men and Blade are also confirmed to be part of the line-up.[8]

Though Afro Samurai was also introduced in Japan.The Boondocks was always drawn like that.

Gunbound was the poop during it's first "season"... it just gets worse and worse later on because they couldn't support themselves so they had to start selling out. A Shame really, a i very much enjoyed doing super difficult trick shots (i.e. backshots, boomer shots, mirror shots and tornados) with Nak, Trico and Boomer.

Gunbound, lol...I used to be addicted to that game! But I think I stopped playing like 3-4 years ago, lost a lot of interest in it. Heck, I had one account which had all the good items. :(
 
Battle Royale is awesome. We made a great drinking game out of it.

I didn't know that but there is one guy on here who's only about 40 minutes south of me.

Wolverine is made by the same group as Iron Man and also takes places in Japan. Both are originally in japanese. [Force Works] provides the subs for Iron Man and I think [Weapon+] is doing Wolverine.

Anyone seen any of the Naku Kora ni titles, or when they cry in english? I've just bought the first season on a whim, hoping it's going to be good.

I wish I was around back them. At one time I was dumb enough to get tricked and gave my account name and password to someone (he said he can get me the golden armor) only to find that I've been robbed. :( Took me months to get back that money, and invaluably learned my lesson...

Oh I wish Fifth Stage was already out, there was so much more in the manga that could make enough materials for a new season!!! :mad:
 
Lol me too, I agreed to trade a bazooka for a robot X, but all he did was wait for me to send first. whatever though i eventually bought both later on.

I used to abuse admin power back then. What i do is i make subaccounts because it was easier to gain gold in noob servers... and i make enough money for some 250k+ avatar and send it to my main. numerous times I send a PM to the softnyx website asking if I could get that gifted avatar refunded "because my friend (main account) no longer wants it, and it'd be a waste of gold." I used this line at least 6 times and I got refunded everytime, and I could easily buy another item right after :lol:

yo nk4e, that's a badass pic of noel, where'd you get it? send me it! I never liked those type-alphabet button frames, I'd ditch those add slap on her crest behind her and blow up the image. My acrylic stick surface is 18"x11" so I got PLENTY of room to add Sakura in there as well.
