the level of humour went down :( its more slice of life than before. Good God, Tomoya is an idiot...how in the world is he going to support 3 lives when he has to work his butt off for himself already?.... they're just like her parents....most of the humour is coming from akio now. insulting sanae's bread never gets old. *stuffs face with bread* "DAiSUKi"

As for me, I've been watching a couple of new titles the last couple of weeks - IS: Infinite Stratos and FREEZING. I'll try to hold off on critiquing those until like 4-5 eps have been shown but FREEZING to me has a sort of a Mai-HiME feel to it albeit in a sci-fi sense. And after 2 eps, I'm wondering if the lead female is either tsundere, kuudere or a little of both.
 
I have a soft spot for dramas. ;)

I kicked up Afro Samurai & Beezlebub at school today. Thanks for reminding me about Freezing. Going to get on that too.

edit:Whoever brought up CLANNAD in this thread has excellent taste... Best anime i've ever watched...

Just finished Clannad. Very nice, though I could have done without eps 23 and 24, esp. 24, very out of character. 9/10 overall.

Just watching Crest of the Stars before beginning Banner of the Stars and recognized Bunta from Initial D in some of the later eps as a police inspector of sorts. I love that I can identify seiyus at this point! (after like 70+ series...)

Also just caught that the undertaker in COTS is not just Kenji from Initial D but also Onizuka from Great teacher Onizuka!

I'll admit the Character design of Black Rock Shooter is kinda cool and makes great a choice for B&W Drawings, however the OVA lacks so much value. Everything is so rushed, I mean what was the point....? Beginning to end in 50 minutes... faster than western films.

Girl one day goes to first day of school, meet a girl and befriends her, both of them become close friends over the span of one or 2 days. OKAY FAST FORWARD ONE WHOLE YEAR! wait Already?! I didn't even get to soak that last bit in yet!Next year the two are in different classes and don't get to talk as more, jealous that one of them has been spending more tiem with another friend ultimately ignoring her she magically gets possessed by some demon and disappears without a trace. She looks for her and find that charm keychain she gave to her missing friend and she magically gains super powers, lands in another dimension and fights her possessed friend, saves her, THE END.

Great Story, HUH?

I love Clannad (both versions... especially Tomoyo's After Story)... but I checked out a current airing anime I want you guys to check out. Has anyone else watched Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica? Well after three episodes, this may be the best anime of the season, so far. Take Ume Aoki's Hidarmari Sketch (Which I adored!) look-a-likes with SHAFT'S insanity, and while it looks sweet, fluffy, and fun; its DARK AND TWISTED. This is not your average Magic Girl show. ---- Randy

Mouryou no Hako's about some mystery of this woman's head in a box and how she is still animate, which is kinda creepy...
 
I'm really enjoying Bakuman so far, a 2nd season has already been announced too.

I started Gosick last week, pretty glad I did, really enjoying it so far with only 3 episodes aired, also watching my usual crap such as Bleach and Fairy Tail. Kind of have Darker than Black on hold atm, and im slowly working through Angel Beats too.
 
crunchyroll's notorious banners got my attention regarding gosick. I'll have to think about that show.
 
Netflix finally has all the episodes of Burst Angel available for streaming so I'm watchin' those. Episode 11 is a little stupid 'cause everyone in Osaka has a Texan accent for no reason.

I gather this is the English dub that you're talking about? And does Meg speak with one as well?
 
Is it any good? It just seems interesting that there was more anime out there that uses actual car names.

Funi (who dubbed the series) was based in Texas, so some of the voice actors are from down there. I have watched it and I actually liked it a lot. 👍 :) Randy
 
All I do on DA is upload, view, comment.

On occassions, I visit the forums and join a group or 2.

I have never "requested to add" anyone on DA, ever. Username is Destryker17 if you wanted to clear up confusion... I really dislike this username i have on GTP. and that's about to change. Look at my user name :sly:

No. Meg sounds like a snooty rich kid. She's voiced by Jamie Marchi who's done voices for Fruits Basket, Corpse Princess, Full Metal Alchemist, Desert Punk and Darker than Black.
