You're too easy, ran

 👍 Anyway, now I finally watched Episode 6 of Freezing Sunday night... I'll start getting on the Anime track here later today. That Shana one looks cool, Andy right? And hey, if you put an R in front of yours, you do get my first name of.... (wait for it...)... Randy. Anyway, see ya. :dopey: --- Randy

Guy's aksed me to make avatars for him before, he wanta specific image but they're either terrible in resolution, drawing quality or lack an interesting focal point. So i suggest him other avatars which don't hold any of the listed traits stated. He ignores 'em and continues to use his lame looking ones scaled unproportionally. I don't know why he insists on use the forum's maximum size, even if it makes the avatar look more boring...
WHATEVER, not my problem.

All that matters is that Handy Andy makes Dandy Eye Candy. 👍

you should be seeing 6 images per row, with the exception of the last having 7 (which coincidentally is the 7th row).
HURR HURR MY ARMS HAVE TOTALLY FALLEN ASLEEP.
Good Night

Oh man I can't decide which Mami one to use!

Has anyone here ever ordered anything from JapanToYou.com?

They have a figure for pre order that isn't sold out yet and comes out in December. I'd like to order it but don't want to get screwed over.

Well mine with pre order discount plus shipping will only be $105. It's sold out already on some sites. It'll also be the most expensive figure that I've purchased to date by far. I just want to know if JapanToYou is trustworthy. I'll research the site some more but if I don't like what I find I'll go somewhere else. Just wondering if anyone here has dealt with them.

EDIT: Took the plunge :scared:

People are willing to pay for a crafted piece of Plastic....

I've worked with Wood, Plastic and Metal... Plastic is THE easiest material to work with. I almost feel ripped off for paying over $50 for a PVC figure

btw nk4e, here's the full res :) Hot stuff eh?

I agree. Previously the most I've paid is $50 and that's only for a few figures. I also tend to buy things that will appreciate some or at least not depreciate. Of course every now and then I get the occasional $20-$30 figure from conventions to put on my desk. Most of what I buy is Evangelion related. I only have 3 figures that have nothing to do with Eva.

Anyways I felt the need to splurge on this one as it's my favorite character and it looks quality. This will not turn into an expensive hobby lol.

EDIT: This isn't the figure I'm getting but I was just seeing what Lucky Star merchandise they have:

http://www.japtou.com/index.php?rou...word=lucky star&category_id=0&product_id=5266

That figure is awesome but I would never pay $50 for that lol.

I don't have a single anime figure. I used to collect Gundam Wing Action Figures...never did anything with them, collected dust, took up space... never looked at them again, now they've been sitting in a wardrobe for the past 8 or 9 years. I wouldn't even want to collect posters as I never look at anything in this house besides a TV or computer screen. Stuff I paint or make get hung on a wall in my room, next day I forget all about it.

Now, I never collect things for these kinds of purposes. Actually I lied, last winter I compulsively bought a whole bunch of Hot Wheels because I was going to paint a few of them to match the police liveries in Hot Pursuit 3. Said I was going to do it, still haven't started, they're all collecting dust now....

I have a pretty sweet Wing Zero action figure I got about 14 years ago from a toy store. I regret not buying the other ones. They were only $15 and you put them together yourself. My Gundam is actually sitting right in front of me next to my monitor lol. It falls apart a lot but I love it.

Don't know why I ever started buying figures. When I lived in Raleigh there was a cool little anime store and my friend who I went there with bought figures and I guess it rubbed off on me. I was actually a little glad when they went out of business because it saved me some money. That store did give me a sweet Evangelion Gashapon set for my birthday though lol. Still I usually don't buy them off the internet. There's an anime con I go to every year and I look for deals and bargain with vendors in the dealer's room.

I do like your Hot Wheels idea. That would be pretty sweet. I don't know what happened to all the Hot Wheels cars I used to have.

I used to buy model cars all the time. My two favorites are my 1:18 Aston Martin DB5. It's the version from Goldfinger. And my 1:18 LMP car.

I was about to buy model cars too shortly after buying the hot wheels...I'm glad i didn't find anything I liked. On my way home from school, I saw an anime shop and I thought how come I never notice that store? I use to go to Chinatown like when I was a kid and only now do I notice it?? Still haven't went in, don't know if I want to.

Shortly after watching Shana-tan specials I wanted to get a Shana Plushie. They don't exist, I was dreaming too much. Damn these shows, they're so manipulative.

I don't mind having collectible things, so long as it is me who made it. Making your own things hold stronger values than buying something.

lol I know what you mean but I don't have the skill/knowledge/equipment to make die cast cars or PVC figures.

I can whip up some plushies though. I learned some sewing from my friends in Raleigh because they make their own costumes for cosplaying.

When I worked at a Mack dealership I did fabricate a shift knob for my car out of a Mack hood ornament. It's pretty badass but it gets effing hot in the summer and I have to put a cloth on it XD. I love it though.

I am exhausted from making those avatars. Facepalm moment: I googled Madoka Magica and got saw more neat drawings I didn't find when I was searching initially :grumpy:

Anyway I got a special batch coming in tonight. It's not big so don't worry about your computer exploding from cuteness.
