Really didn't like writing in Dark Blue, though I always have one hand on my face like he does in that picture.
 
Anyone here watched the last episode of Puella Magi Madoka Magica? I can't stand my "anime" friends spoiling the ending for me! :grumpy: Although with that said a lot of people did say the anime was really good, even going as far as saying its "the best anime ever!!!!" and stuff... :rolleyes:

Might watch it someday, when the DVD/Blu Ray version is released. :p

For me it's definitely not the best anime ever. However it is very good but I think it's because it's a magical girl show that isn't 🤬 stupid. It came out of nowhere and always left you wanting to see the next episode. It gets pretty dark. Highly recommended. Watch it now.

Don't wait that much. Even I am watching it, and me watching a magic girl show is... you know, like that ain't gonna happen. Last magic girl show I watched was Rayearth, 13 long years ago, and haven't touched one since.

But this is blowing my head off. I started it by my brother's recommendation and almost dumped it, but I'm glad I didin't. If you try it, stand the first two episodes, where everything seems to be the commmon, average "we're happy" magic girl show. From episode three onwards, its sooooo twisted. Episode 10 makes you want to hit yourself.

I'm at 10. Will finish it tomorrow. But yeah, go see it, it's surprisingly, amazingly good. The waves it's been making, it certainly deserves them.

It's definitely not the best show ever, but it IS very good- VERY VERY good. I didn't watch it for the magical girl thing. I watched one episode, the trippy surreal Witch realm is what struck my interest initially, then the concept of Puella Magis had me sold. Story was slow and not all that engaging at first as it was...

mostly Madoka being pressured by Kyuubey and Homura (which confused me as to who was on the "good side", but not bad as I wanted to watch more to learn more), and Madoka asking more questions about what Puella Magis are and what they do.

But for the most part, it gets more interesting later on... I was especially blown away when...

Sayaka taints her Soul Gem completely and becomes a Witch; that was such a ****ing awesome turn of events. I always expected most shows to have a happy ending of some sort, except she never came back. Oh well.

After that, I just wanted more. I also admire Madoka a lot for what she did in the last episode. Hence,

heh, I JUST NOW noticed your avatar is Madoka. I think it might have to do with the fact that the part I don't really like about the show is the general graphic style and character designs, they are so generic... but then again, once you get deep in the series you realize it HAD to be that way for the "cover" or "mask" of the series to work.
 
On the other hand, I Love the drawing style and character design. PuellaMagi's Wikia page contains the idea being the character design. It's nice that that much thought was put into it and I think it showed that off really well. I also liked how they kept the pen-hatching on their eyes. Certainly neat to keep some element of handwork, but that's just my opinion. 👍

hahaha, I said the character design looked pretty damn generic to me. She looks like any other anime girl from the last 5 years.

I liked the style of Madoka also. Especially in the witch realms. It was something that really caught me off guard and stuck in my head.

Not yet. I am about halfway through Railgun though. I need to pick up the pace. Every scene with Kuroko makes me lol hard though. She's hilarious. And cute. *Melts*

It's pretty good so far. AOS- is much farther along though but he seems to really enjoy it too. It's a side story to To Aru Majustsu No Index seasons 1 and 2. They have a lot of the same characters but Index is a little more serious than Railgun. Index is also good so far too from what I have seen. I've only watched the first season so far though.
