For me it's definitely not the best anime ever. However it is very good but I think it's because it's a magical girl show that isn't 🤬 stupid. It came out of nowhere and always left you wanting to see the next episode. It gets pretty dark. Highly recommended. Watch it now.

Well I've gotten a lot interested in watching this after reading on another website that the plot became really twisted and stuff. Yeah, it might be a just a mahou shoujo anime (like Lyrical Nanoha and others) but I think the latter half of the show will be very gruesome to watch. :D

Don't wait that much. Even I am watching it, and me watching a magic girl show is... you know, like that ain't gonna happen. Last magic girl show I watched was Rayearth, 13 long years ago, and haven't touched one since.

But this is blowing my head off. I started it by my brother's recommendation and almost dumped it, but I'm glad I didin't. If you try it, stand the first two episodes, where everything seems to be the commmon, average "we're happy" magic girl show. From episode three onwards, its sooooo twisted. Episode 10 makes you want to hit yourself.

I'm at 10. Will finish it tomorrow. But yeah, go see it, it's surprisingly, amazingly good. The waves it's been making, it certainly deserves them.

There is a reason why I'm waiting for the DVD/Blu Ray release...
Madoka TV/BD comparison (although the page might be a bit NSFW)
and Shaft being Shaft, you know the TV version always seemed a bit rushed in production. I rather watch a perfectly made BD release rather than to watch the heavily censored and cut TV versions. :D

It's pretty good so far. AOS- is much farther along though but he seems to really enjoy it too.

Just two minutes ago I finished Madoka. Simply amazing. The end is totally unexpected, happy and sad at the same time. Extraordinary. Episode 10 is still the wowzer, but the end is awesome as well. It certainly deserves all the praise.

And yes, I know the DVD-BR release will be pampered up, but given that I didin’t even know what it was when I started it, nor how hard its impact had been on the anime community, I kinda started it as if I was watching something pretty meh. When I realized how good it was, I was too hooked to try to wait and see it decently.
 
Spoiler for Madoka ep 10
Ep 10 was kick-ass. Where Homura pulled out all those explosives was awesome. It was like a Fireworks Display.. haha
 
Yeah, that and many MANY other moments, It’s amazing how it twists the entire plot to a point where almost the protagonist is Homura, not Madoka. It may very well be the greatest anime episode I’ve seen since… heck, since Bebop’s “Ballad of Fallen Angels”. It certainly is the best anime episode I’ve seen in years. YEARS. The entire series is worth watching for that episode alone. It’s mind blowing.
 
And BESIDES!!! Homura wears glasses. Instant. Freaking. Win.

Don’t ask. I have a thing for glasses.
 
A lot of guys do, secretly. I actually dislike her glasses, because of how it impacts her appearance altogether.

Well, I'm not that secretive about it. I even like real-life girls with glasses. My favourite character is Rayeath's Fuu Hououji. That should say something.

And yeah, Homura looks less bad-ass with glasses. But better (:

I had a wicked idea like this a week ago. I scrapped it, but I was thinking about it again in the shower moments ago. Now, I'm reconsidering if people are willing to support it. What it is I will not say, as this adds to the surprise factor, a cheap easy gimmick I love going for. :sly:

A yes from 5 members = a "Get to work" for me. The choice is yours.

Just finished Durarara!!, and well, Baccano! was 20% cooler 10x better. Damn ponies sinking into my brain. Must resist.

Jsut to add on what I said about Madoka as I just remembered: What had me sold wasn't the trippy classic paintings, it was what happened in Ep 3... I was surprised the scriptwriter chose to do that so soon. THEN it got dull until what happens in ep 8 or 9.

Quoted for half thruth, I also got hooked by what happens at 3, but I didin't find the rest dull, in fact, the entire Sayaka arc was pretty cool if you ask me. So heart-breaking.

And you could post just the links to the Madoka pictures, so no one will be spoiled... er, yes.
