I has another idea for avatars (which could only live as long as mainstream music), and that is to use cosplay pictures instead of drawings...I'd be butchering the tradition and killing all meaning of that one day, but we can wear it on October and call it Halloween...

OR we can all just find witch hats and stick em on another picture :lol:


edit:I dare you to find me a good Gundam Cosplay photo, Terrie. :lol:

So how much of you actually buy the DVD/Blu-ray/manga when it get's released stateside?

I typically don't unless it's something I really love because anime is so expensive and usually not worth it. $30 for a disc with 3 episodes on it is ridiculous lol. I'm just making a point there so no "oh but the box sets blah blah blah". I know. I'd rather spend the same money on merchandise.

When I read this post, it just reminded me of someone else...

Do box sets typically look like this?

comes with a blu-ray, some folded poster, 2 nendos and a soundtrack iirc.
 
No box sets typically are not like that lol. Sometimes you'll get a little cheap figure or a t-shirt or a soundtrack. And not usually in an awesome box like that.

Japanese DVD/Blu-ray releases are hella expensive, but I'm talking more about the licensed releases.

The whole point of me bringing it up is supporting the licensed release. Of course, I only buy those that I really like. And I like having a DVD/Blu-ray collection.

I suppose most people don't buy the licensed released because it's dubbed. They all have japanese audio and english subtitles so that excuse is invalid.

I was talking about licensed releases also and I know they all come with Japanese audio and English subtitles. Usually the price isn't worth it to me unless it's something I love but the same goes for live action TV shows as well.

Of course the box sets we get here don't normally get limited awesome versions with cool stuff. Sometimes it happens but more often that not it doesn't. Seems here it's video games that get the cool limited stuff.

Yeah the Limited Edition boxsets we get here aren't so great.

MSRP is definitely rip off, which is why I buy all my stuff from Amazon now.

I have too much on my to-buy list though. Puella Magi Madoka Magica, OreImo, Nichijou, Spice & Wolf, Spice & Wolf 2, Darker than Black S2, Index, Railgun, and Shinryaku! Ika Musume.

but that Oreimo trailer was terrible... they should pick up Capcom's cheesy tricks that will get you hyped over nothing special. :lol:

Anyway, I'd like to hear an update on the team build...

Moe - LLB, Randy, Ryou
Asuka - Sephy, dice, Terrific Douze
Mysterious - nk4e

I think we lost T-12 but I do count Walter :). Was trying to get some more members but they don't seem interested for some weird reason. It's ok though we go for quality over quantity :p

Was gonna watch some more F/SN between classes today but the little netbook I got seems to be having trouble playing them so I just watched more Oz :/
