Normally it's the really long series that have fillers. 13 episode series typically don't have fillers, and it's disappointing when they do.
 
It just... all the characters felt so cliche and stereotypical that even by the time they did get some kind of development or backstory, I wasn't interested, and there were so many that they couldn't really give all of them meaning. So when they some died or got closure or whatever, it just felt like "oh well, one down, plenty more left". All the talk of religion and hating God and stuff seemed a bit contrived to me, like they just put it in to sound more 'deep' and 'edgy'. And the final episode was just... "What?"

But that's just my opinion... *Waits for flames* :nervous:

I didn't know what it was about. LLB nagged me to watch it, I did... but after seeing some "funny" in the first episode, I took it as a comedy altogether and just watched it for the funny.

Because funny is good.
 
Funny is indeed good, for the soul

Now go watch Mitsudomoe. Otherwise you have no soul. Just don't let the character design or pee skit in episode get to you.

It had plenty of funny moments, but I loved it for the drama too. Plus, Yuri and Kanade are two of my favourite anime girls.

And no, I haven't watched Karekano. I only like its soundtrack. Not only the opening the entire soundtrack. Really.

Plastic rock = the rocky pop sung by cute boys... L'arc en Ciel comes to mind immediately.

Yes, precisely like that. Plastic music is something Japan's very good at producing (don't know if that sentence is well structured, help me here). It also is the homeland of some of the most potentially bitchin', intresting rock I've heard in a decade. Damned country has it all.

And the desing, come ON, dude. I'll make you a favor and just say it's bland. As for the drawing itself, her fingers look like seaweed.
 
Rock Band + Orchestra? Hell yeah!

I have trouble with hands, Canoscope. I've struggled with hands for decades :lol: I'm getting better with them though. I do agree it's a bit bland. I wanted to give her a chain, but the top ended up looking too much like a dress, so I couldn't give her shorts and a chain to attach to it.

I've been thinking about designing some lightly-armored warrior...I've looked at pictures of Claymore and Hyakka Ryouran.... but now that I look at this, I don't know how it turned out to be a race girl with a sword. :lol:

I read a bunch of Youtube comments saying how they love Heartbeat over every other ID ost.. I love driving to Dogfight though....
