Probably not since I won't be done with CLANNAD before the weekend is over. I'll be out of town most of the day tomorrow anyway.

Yeah one OVA was a beach episode, I forget the other, and I think the last two are technically season 3, but they were like episode 25 and 26 of season 3 or something like that.

Mom brought Desktop back home for the day = I get my music library back and access to my anime folder. Turns out my anime folder is too much for the laptop to handle, I don't have enough memory! Guess I'll just have to wait until the Desktop is back for good.

Guys I need advice. Got some money coming soon. Was thinking of treating myself to another figure. I've had a few in mind. They are:


I've liked this Rei since I first saw it at the last con I went to. It was way overpriced there but this is much more reasonable and it looks great in person.

I like this figure a lot as well. I thought they nailed the colors and they made the see through parts of the suit look like it's actually see through and I love the pose. Only reason I wouldn't get it is I already have two Asuka figures in the test suit and this would most likely be stored in the closet with a bunch of other figures. It does look nice though.

I've also been wanting this figure as well. I think her pose is great and feel they captured her attitude. However I think it's pretty expensive for being relatively small so I probably won't get it. If only it was a little cheaper...


And finally I am open for suggestions. :) Please keep the price "reasonable".

Thanks Sephy, I don't really know much about Anime other than I've seen a few and I know about Doraemon.

Can't help with you figurine question though I'm afraid as I'd suggest spending you hard earned cash on a case of cold beers. :lol:

I can recommend Taobao though for buying them as it might save you some money.

I've never heard of Doreamon lol.

Anyway trust me plenty of cash gets spent on beer :lol:

Doraemon is really big you know. It has to do with a time traveling robot cat IIRC. It's hugely popular, and I think the manga series ended not too long ago. I recall seeing scans, and reading comments about how heartbreaking it was.

Test suit Asuka gets my vote. DAT MIDRIFF

Or you can sponsor me some Nendoroids :3

To start you off into the world of anime:

Start off with anime's that have been shown in the US

(Trigun, Big O, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, etc.)

Once you finish watching a few of those, start to tackle Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

From there, we'll see where to go 👍

I did watch some Initial D after reading about it on here but only found it in the original language. Couldn't understand what was happening. :dunce:

Doraemon rocks. It's a bit of a childish cartoon but for sure he has some cult status in Asia. Even my office I.D picture was replaced with a pic of Doraemon! :lol:

I've got some big titles like Ghost in a Shell, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fire Flies and some other popular, big screen outing from Japan.
