Off topic, It's pretty startling to imagine how killing or saving a single person could alter the course of history. You'd potentially be drastically altering the future family trees of many people, causing some people not to be born and causing others to be born instead. And these many people are/were going to do who knows what in their lifetimes, leading to all sorts of differences.

And of course the farther back you go, the more you kill. Go back to the 1800's and kill a person. Come back to an empty New York city

Of course the changes would be far more drastic than that, but still.

Hell, go back to the 1800's and save a person, and come back to an empty New York city! Anything could happen. Kinda scary. But also kinda comforting knowing that bad decisions could possibly end up having good consequences eventually. :p

Maybe Jack The Ripper's killing of prostitutes somehow helped the Cold War from breaking out into something much worse.

Maybe there's a time traveller out there manipulating events in history :scared:

Or maybe I'm just watching too much Doctor Who. Which reminds me; where the hell is Jeffgoddin? He's all like "we seem to like a lot of the same stuff, I think we'll get along nicely" and then he disappeared. Jerk.

Who's Jeffgoddin?

Oops, must not have been born. I did go back in time to 1850 and tip over a cow...

I've tried explaining to cyber-Asuka that killing Hitler might cause all sorts of bad stuff. My own personal hypothesis is that WW2 would happen anyway, only that it's because Stalin invades Poland. No luck, I just got a punch to the stomach and she keeps saying that if I had half a chance, I'd kill him too. No wonder she already has a college degree.

If WW2 didn't happen, something potentially worse could have. Not to mention the fact the Nazi's made ALL SORTS of scientific progress.... Sometimes morally wrong does wonders for society.

If WW2 never happened, Japan wouldn't have been nuked by the US and Neon Genesis Evangelion may never have been made.

WW2. Worth it.

Good point, we would have never been graced with the presence of the über-Pimp.
*cyber-Asuka shakes fist in a threatening way*
Or the presence of the great Asuka Langley Soryu/Shikinami.

The hell?! I MISSED THIS GIANT S;G DISCUSSION?! * throws walter on table, and flips it*

Yes, she is typical and pretty, but her tongue and that sadistic side of her, is just plain hellish. ---- Randy :dopey:
That is exactly what I like about her... :sly:

And the d-mails have to do with the butterfly effect.

The first d-mail Okabe accidentally sent ended up putting him (or his memories) in a parallel timeline ie different rope, and in that timeline Mayuri was fated to die ie the end of the rope. And each d-mail moved Okabe to a different twine in which Mayuri dies sooner.

Personally I thought it made sense. Especially Suzuha's analogy.

This....
I wasn't absolutely pleased how they decided to go all the way back to the beta line, and I wasn't pleased with Okabe not knowing not to stand so close to the edge of the train platform in the case of Final Destination; even I knew that SOMEHOW she's going to get pushed onto the tracks.... but in any case, they chose to make Okabe go back to the beta line and this was decided in the very first episode so they had to go to with that....Undoing d-mails isn't what I would call creative, but it's less confusing and more straightforward to see each change revert back to what it was prior to the original d-mail sent...it was especially exciting to find out what kind of d-mail he would send to moeka's phone since we all knew she's up to no good now...

Meanwhile in the Team Fortress 2 universe...

Thank you, Mr. Saxton Hale for the wonderful chance of getting a spare name tag. (I actually did some idling if you wanna know why I was inactive today)

My recommendation: NEVER watch Trigun. It sucks.

Did you watch the right show?!

You know what? I will not stand for this constant trolling!

*sits down*

I lol'd.

BTW guys page 886 was unreadable...

That's messed up.

Judging by the boob sizes...I'm guessing she's not 14 in those. :D

In any case, slybugga seems to have gone offline. I'll consider that victory. :sly:

Nope. It's because I needed to sleep. I need to take an employment test in 2 hours from now and I didn't want to waste any more time arguing on the internet.

:)

Yeah, Chizuru is awesome. :sly: -- Randy

The facial expression on the top one doesn't say 14 either :D

Also good to see some of you are liking my new prof pic. As has also been said, more prefer my old one, but think about it...there are only so many good looks you can get at such a specimen. :D

EDIT: Unless you're Sephy obviously, since he knows what he's doing with Asuka. ;)

Watched episode 4 of Bebop(dubbed, so rejoice Sephy)

I didn't really enjoy the episode, it was pretty poorly done. The writing isn't so great and the voice acting is sub-par. There is no pacing whatsoever and the only actual VA I'm liking is Spike's. Not writing the show off yet, I've heard too many good things about it and it's still more entertaining than Haibane Renmei.

You'll probably enjoy it more once Ed comes into it.

That's what they said over at another forum(which is the most linear forum I've ever been to). I'll watch more today. I liked the first two episodes, the third one was boring and I wasn't feeling the 4th one even though stuff WAS happening. Maybe space-age isn't my thing.

Loliknife, you're on the verge of probably the best episode of the entire series, or at least one of the best. Make yourself a favor and watch ep 5 subbed, and enjoy the scenes at the church.

omg, free bird.
