Haha. I'll have you know that I first met my wife in an anime forum. So that's kinda closer to thruth than you thought.

Lucky you. I had to convert mine.

Sailor Moon made that easy, however.

Unfortunately, while we binge-watched Avatar and Fairy Tale together, she's not quite interested in stuff like KLK and Bebop. Ah well.

Lol, too shoujo. Mi wife watched Kill la Kill all on her own. AND liked it.

Granted, she also watched Crystal, lol.

I've spent wayyy too much money on this woman.

So, when you are saying that, can I (boldly) claim that you have replaced one of your waifus with Homura? "One of your waifus" standing for that windy girl you also like, of course... :p

And boy, we are going meta with this whole wife/girlfriend thing, that is Anime forum 101 right there.

Episode 25 Finale for Shinsekai.... Thought Provoking...

So this is what I can devolve from watching the finale now without reading others opinions yet(@AOS- I haven't read yours yet but I will after I post this)

To me it seems as though that the real villains were actually the Cantus possessors . Not only were they the cause of destruction in the ancient civilization but the Queerats were the creations of the Cantus possessors by making normal humans into a sort of servants for the Cantus peeps. Hence why the fact was hidden so well and the false minoshiro couldn't even answer such a question. That's something Squealer probably figured out in the end and fueled the rage that was left by the ancient civilization into the war he caused.

So the bigger picture I saw was that the Cantus User Superiors like the Board of Education & Ethics Committee were pretty much trying to stay superior hence the granting of the title of "Gods" by the Queerats by disposing anyone & everyone who tried to step in their way and even went through such lengths to manipulate minds and memories. The Cantus peeps were merely trying to play God in my eyes after thinking about it now.

Squealer probably learned all about this and intended to disrupt such order.

Those minoshiros were a problem.

EDIT: Aiding what I just said, it all connects how the Queerats are actually humans but ones that merely don't possess the ability to use Cantus. Their intelligence, behaviour and symbolism in the series, even the way the Queerats replicate the evolution of human civilization all connects. The ace in the hole was the DNA twist they threw in and the tseudo item that connects to that was Saki's workplace when she turned 26, it looked as if her workplace was farming Queerats like experimental mice.

Jolly good I say

I actually lapped this show up, especially towards the end. It warrants me saying that it's great if not brilliant. My only issue is that the first few episodes took some time to get going, which is a shame because there were a lot of things to pick up & note from those episodes to be able to understand what happens later in the show.

If you like thinking deeply, I'd say definitely go and watch it.

@SVX like I said above, the first few episodes lug about but pay attention to what happens there, it will help for later.

@Cano , what advice can you give to us with regards to looking for our own waifus? Who we'll get into anime

My girlfriend bought me a Homura figure* for Christmas? Am I the opposite of @Cano now?

Or am I really just Cano's wife in disguise as the creation of an Anglo-Dutch art collective? I'm not.

*With a detachable head. Guess which character I want a figurine of like that now...

The first episode of Boku dake ga Inai Machi though...

Probably the best episode I've seen out of all the Winter 2016 anime premieres. Going to be a good series

^ And same, that limbo scene tho.

Nah. Never. I have wayyyy more Fuu (and Rayearth) stuff than Madoka/Homura crap.

 It's really tempting, but I really shouldn't. I have a bunch others I like a whole lot more:

Plus, after checking my MFC account's list of favourites, amongst the 3 Black Rock Shooter figures I had, BGS was the only one in my favourites list. :( I'm kicking myself a bit for being so desperate for quick buck. I don't feel I should be buying any more figures for the time being anyway.

Edit: The Velociraptor's been on the mind most recently, but even over the past week I managed to nitpick enough to no longer want it. I've either got a psychological problem, or I am just really good at turning down my impulsive behaviour.

Catching up on Owarimonogatari. Up to episode 10. Why do I enjoy this show so much I want to despise it?

Alliceeeeeeeeeeee what the helllllllllllllllll

The depressing thing is I'm not Alice Cooper. Dude was friends with Groucho Marx. The Marx brothers inspired a Kirby villain. Kirby was made into an anime. Kirby sounds like Kyubey. Kyubey was in Madoka Magica like Homura. I have a Homura figure. Everybody calls me Alice*. Everybody calls Alice Cooper Alice. Alice Cooper sang I'm Always Chasing Rainbows. There needs to be a Madoka Magica musical. QED.

*Apart from here, where they call me Roger. Mysterious.

You did that?

No, if you do a Reverse Google Image Search that pic shows up in a few "listicles" from as far back as 2010. Sorry to be a Buzzkillington.
