My big bro loves Ninja Scroll.

Naruto's dub is horrible, but I don't feel like watching the subs on youtube or anywhere else.

Anyways, did anyone else see Wangan Midnight? That show is awsome!

Another good show I just finished watching is Elfen Lied (for the second time lol!).

Elfen Lied is only 13 Eps too bad...T_T, did they release a second episode already? Ninja Scroll is original, that is all I have to say! Though has anyone seen Voices of a Distant Star?

Can we please try to avoid the sub vs dub thing.
It's such a cliche.

That said, tonight is ani-monday on Sci-fi.
The last OVA of Macross Plus will probably air (as I saw the third episode last week).
Also, one movie I saw in the ads that wasn't mentioned in the previous discussion of sci-fi's line-up is Ninja Scroll. I'm sure they will be showing that! Unfortunately, it's going to be ruined. :ouch: Not by dubbing, but by editing (no doubt as it would be impossible to show some of the stuff from that movie on cable). :(

Sorry bout that, it was just so bad I had to rant for a moment.

I'll have to check if I have sci-fi, hope I do cause it will be nice to put on in the back ground while playing PC games.

Not to worry, all is good.
It's not against the rules (AUP) to discuss sub vs dub. I make my request out of respect for the various members of this community who contribute to this thread. So with that in mind, don't worry about the whole thing, I was just trying to avoid trouble in the thread.

I think we can all enjoy this much more if we concern ourselves with subjects in anime other than the same old sub vs dub topic. :sly:

Moving on... Has anyone seen the highlander movie yet?
I know they must have released it by now (even though I have doubts about it being any good). None the less, I'd love to hear what people think of the idea as well as the movie itself. 👍
PS. A long time back in this very thread a trailer to the movie was posted!

I actually enjoyed VHD:BL quite a bit.
In fact, I thought it was awesome. 👍
I doubt Highlander will be anywhere near as good as Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust but you never know. :sly:

I must admit though, the scenes in VHD:BL where the crosses were melting and twisting in opening or when the bounty hunters were fighting the zombies of the town... 👍 👍
Not to mention the Bounty Hunters fighting the more powerful enemies.
(and especially not to mention all the scenes with D fighting  )

Not to mention VHD is just insanely awesome no matter how you look at it? Period.

-> I've watch VHD:B, it was very good to say it least, but I didn't know til last night when I was talking to the folks at TQPI.net that VHD:B has a prequel or should I say VHD:B is the sequel to the original:

Vampire Hunter D

-> Heh, heh, long time no see guys! (:

^ Yes, Wangan just came out the 2nd episode, it on Veoh. I haven't seen it though because I have to watch it of my best friend at home with my PS3. The first episode is far better than Initial D's first episode, and I like the character designs too. (:

Spoiler: The Devil Z Crashes and it gets hi jacked Funny thing is that Takumi and Akio are gas Station workers

THat's funny how the second episode ends...

I'm watching Ani-Monday now! Noein is a good show, but I can tell it has a lot of romance in it....

Ani Monday's bumps are hilarious too.THey had an "ani-diss" towards Adult Swim and it was funny.

So I haven't seen anyone announce this news yet...

Rebuilding Evangelion will be released late this summer, and if not, some time within the next year.

It will be 4 movies (although I original heard it would be 10).
The story will be a re-telling of the original series but it will be more non-otaku friendly.

Regardless of the implications of my last sentence I am very excited about this and hope to see a speedy US release.

That is all...

^ I hope they could make Angelic Days anime, I'm so liking the story (based on the manga). Its so much better than the original I might say. (:

So did anyone ever check out Macross Zero after I mentioned it?
Featuring Metallica...

Or for the more depressed people...
Featuring Boa (doing the song from "Serial Experiments Lain" )

Also, I'm suprised no one hear jumped for joy to hear Evangelion is coming back with more content. That alone made my day when I learned of it. 👍

well, what content are thaey coming out with?

They are completely retelling the entire story using (I think) 4 full movies (not the typical hour long OVA).
At first I heard it was going to be 10 movies so I'm not really sure exactly what will be done.
All I can say for sure is that the schedule has the new stuff coming out within the next few months.

Personally, I can't wait!

^ I've watched the whole Macross Zero series, and basically its a prequel to the original SDF Macross. The only character that you will be familiar with is Roy Focker (the dude in the middle). The story was placed after Macross crash landed to Earth and before Focker met Hikaru, the story was placed in a tropical island suspecting something unsual occurance on that island maybe linking to the ship that was just crash landed. I apologize on my vague remarks of the anime, its been a year since I watched the last episode. :)

Anime News Network
Taking place one year before the Zentraedi arrive on Earth, Macross Zero chronicles the final days of the war between the U.N. Spacy and anti-U.N. factions. After being shot down by the anti-U.N.'s newest fighter plane, ace pilot Shin Kudo finds himself on the remote island of Mayan, where technology is almost non-existent. While Shin stays on the island to heal his wounds, the tranqulity of the island is shattered by a battle that involves the UN's newest fighter - the VF-0.

:)

I was confused for a second there because you quoted my response to a question about "Rebuilding Evangelion" and not Macross Zero.

Regarding Macross Zero,
I enjoyed the series. Thought it was just about as good as Macross Plus and probably one of my favorite Macross anythings. :sly:

And as for Rebuilding Evangelion...
"Personally, I can't wait!"

-> Whoops! :dunce: :lol:

On Eva-> I've read the Angelic Days manga, and it was a very good story so far. I like the light nature of the parallel scenario of the Eva characters. And I really do hope that they make it into anime, I bet so, Gainax/Gansis will handle that I suppose. :)

Rebuilding Evangelion?!??!?!?

But for some reason, I like how NGE was confusing for some reason. I got into the anime even more when I found out certain stuff like the Spear of Longinus

UNIT01 FTW!!
Randomness CONTINUES!!!:
