Don't be trolling.....

SERIOUSLY?!

So far, I found A-Channel's humour to more "higher-leveled" than K-ON's, if that makes any sense.

You know that grilling/sizzling sound when you're cooking food? Yeah, who has that for a ringtone?

Well, I haven't seen nor am I comparing K-ON to A-Channel, so... yeah, whatever.

All I know is that the first episode of K-ON was good. 👍

By the way, if anyone here has extensive collections of movies/anime/tv shows on their hard drive, I recommend checking out Plex. It's totally awesome... after you get everything properly matched. :p

I thought it was Rei too, except there was no Rei tag on the image. but think about it, does Rei have a body that tiny??? Of course not!

@ Terrific Twelve, Because your Gundams are going to get drowned too? How's this anime-related again?I don't think I caught onto what you're trying to say

Is there a running stream right now or something?

I hadn't thought of that...until now. :grumpy:

And, no, why would there be?

Episode 11 of NGE was awesome. I like the tactics they used to kill the Angel.

Still doesn't beat the extreme amount of badassery I witnessed in the first Angel fight.

Leaving the house in about an hour, so dumping starts now!

I knew you'd react in that exact way, but you're wrong. We have strayed too far from my original point, which was that Gundam was indeed influential and important, but it has now grown older and dated in it's concept and isn't able to get any interest but from the people that have been following it for a long time.

Like David Bowie (Trainspotting reference...) New media needs to be groundbreaking to really attract attention and blow up (sure, some of the new stuff is just copycat and riding coat tails and cheaply produced and is only intended to make a few quick bucks and then fade rapidly from cultural memory.) The stuff which spawns franchises, like both NGE and Gundam, is pretty much always in some way very fresh and captivating.

Now, like David Bowie, if it just keeps going for 40 years, at some point it crosses that line into stuff just trying to make a quick buck by riding coat tails (like endless Rocky sequels, too.) This is all Cano's trying to say about Gundam. Wing was one of those series which was unoriginal and unispired but sure to make the Gundam people some money because of the large popular following the series has. Somebody jumping into it, in 2002 or whatever, with Wing as their first taste, could understandably say wtf is this ****? Unlike somebody unfamiliar with it in 1979 who just saw MSG at its inception and was blown away.

And, if the NGE franchise was to spin off side and continuation stories ad nauseum, it would find itself in the same boat that Gundam finds itself in currently, struggling desperately to maintain quality and innovation while at the same time staying faithful to the original fanbase. So instead it just repeats the exact same story with updated animation to cash in without risking diluting the awesome original story.

Finished GITS last week, the laughing man plot was very good, pushed the show up from a 6 to an 8. Will have to wait some weeks before starting the second season though. Also, surely a lot of you guys have seen Great Teacher Onizuka? I didn't really want to watch it due to the lack of high quality downloads that along with the fact it's pre 2000, them two things aren't a good mix. HOWEVER(caps to show my seriousness), the show was amazingly hilarious, even though I've been at work almost non stop the past two weeks I managed to complete it in less than six days. I was running on about 4 hours sleep for two or three days lol... If anyone can recommend something with a similar style of comedy, I'd love you guys(slight homo).

Time to catch up with Usagi Drop now (Y)

(The) Gokusen: very similar concept, school teacher with an interesting personality and backstory, very funny, great show, but too short, only 13 eps...

Loliblade ver2
Yep, pretty much. But it gets more complicated than "New enemy has appeared, fight them!"

True. They looked way too casual looking (not militarily involved) to be a simple one-to-two episode enemy. I liked the way their LFOs attacked, though.

The Ray and Charles arc is pretty cool and a bit sad(I don't want to spoil anything :p). Enjoy Principalities(I'm going come up with a good nickname for you!)

Just another episode of Hanasaku.....

I 'd hard when Ohana had to eat all that omelet rice. Silly girl could have just given it to others, but that expression was priceless.

LLB, I haven't decided to drop it last episode. Gunslinger Girl lives to see another day. Just remember this doesn't mean I won't drop it ever, though.
:trouble:

Precisely. At least I know I made my point clear. And I never said that Gundam was just a money-making tool now, just that it isn 't intresting anymore but to the fans.

Indeed. That is why I also said that I hope they stop with these movies. EVA could very well follow Gundam's steps if they continue with this.

Uh... but the Rebuild movies are just an updated version of the original series. And it's already been made known just how many of these movies they're making, so there's no need to hope for them to stop. Unless you're hoping they end the Rebuild series early! :scared:

I doubt there's any plans of making additional Evangelion films. Unless they go through with a live-action one, in which case it'll also just be a retelling of the same NGE storyline.

^ If theres another 'Eva' series, then it has to be on TV again.

-> To be specific, I'd would like to see an anime version of Angelic Days

^ Nuff said. :sly:

-> AFAIK, that 'Shinji Project' and 'Angelic Days' are somewhat similar...am I wrong?

Angelic Dayz, imo is Shinji's real world. Angels still evade but there is a lot of character development.
Without any spoilers :
The characters of Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days are alternate versions of characters in the anime series.

Shinji Ikari is the male protagonist of the series. He is timid, quiet, and easily influenced by his peers. He is very much like his original persona, however he is more sociable and friendly than before. Shinji is also a childhood friend to Asuka Langley Soryu.

Asuka Langley Soryu is a redhead with fiery temper, and although friends with Shinji she often torments him. Her rage is especially violent in the beginning of the series: she is openly hostile with Kaworu and splashes boiling water on Shinji in a jealous fit during a cooking class. However, she cares deeply for her friends, and will aid or defend them when she is able. She has appointed herself as Shinji's chaperon and has a clear sense of right and wrong. Although she can be demanding, in truth she doesn't want to burden anyone or feel useless, especially to her parents or Shinji, similar to the original character's feeling of inferiority in the anime series.

Rei Ayanami is an excitable extrovert, the polar opposite of her original persona. However, she is socially inept and clueless as how to perform simple tasks such as cracking an egg open. She is disliked by the girls of her class for "flirting" with boys and wearing her old uniform rather than buying the school's own regulation clothes. Flashbacks also reveal that she was given positive encouragement and praise by those who raised her.

As in the anime, Kaworu Nagisa has a mysterious past that Nerv officials work to uncover. However, despite the lack of official records, Shinji remarks that he and Kaworu have been friends for about a decade, or as long as he has known Asuka. In particular, Kaworu and Shinji often perform music together (Shinji on cello, with Kaworu on violin). Also, Kaworu has what is termed an unusual "fondness" for Shinji, and sometimes appears to be part of the "love triangle" around him. His appearances in both Shinji and Gendo's story arcs strongly hints at a deep connection with the Angels.

Shinji's classmate, Toji Suzuhara, is one of Shinji's friends accepted into Nerv's piloting program along with him. He reciprocates Hikari's crush once she makes her feelings known to him. Much like his anime counterpart, he is shown as the tough jock of the group, and occasionally has verbal bouts with Asuka. However, he does have a much more vulnerable side; while on standby to pilot the Evangelion, he was frightened, but admitted he would risk his life for Hikari's sake.
Kensuke Aida
Kensuke Aida is another one of Shinji's classmates who is accepted into Nerv's piloting program. He has a hobby in camcording. In this incarnation, he has a crush on Asuka and is usually trying to gain some acknowledgement from her. He later openly states his feelings and then asks if he is "good enough to take Shinji's place," causing Asuka to run from him. After an exchange with Asuka while on standby, he realizes that she won't reciprocate his feelings, and later accepts his role as just a friend to her.

Misato Katsuragi is the homeroom teacher for Shinji and Asuka's class. Misato has some operational duties at Nerv. She also teaches cooking (so apparently she can actually cook well).

Ritsuko Akagi is the school nurse, and is in love with Gendo Ikari. Ritsuko is also portrayed as the Head Medical and Science officer at Nerv.

Ryoji Kaji is a researcher and investigator at Nerv who looks into (among other things) Kaworu Nagisa's background. Unlike in the anime, his position is official, and he openly reports to Gendo Ikari. He and Misato dated while in college, and by his own admission, he came to Nerv to remain close to her.

Yui Ikari, Shinji's mother, is still alive and working at Nerv along with her husband Gendo and Asuka's parents. Her high school life and relationship with Gendo is chronicled in Volume 5.

Ugh... big fight between my mother and step father has prevented me from watching anime...

Jerks.

Anyway, going to try and squeeze in at least one episode of NGE and one episode of Blood+ before bed.

luuuul. Nothing moe about Blood+ or NGE... :p and I'm using headphones anyway.

I want to hurt my step dad.... he's such a dick.

I honestly just yell at my parents to shut up due to a pointless and retarded arguement.

I then get blamed for everything wrong.
