Cool yaywalter. I can understand that.

Maybe I'll end up really loving Bebop when I get around to watching it again. We'll see. Sketchy on the story, tense and comedic aspects of Bebop being superior. But it's obvious that the music is.

Ummm Cowboy Bebop and Steins;Gate aren't even close to each other so why are they being compared?

I am enjoying what I've seen so far of Steins;Gate. That is a fact.

But having seen Cowboy Bebop all the way through (multiple times) and it still being in my top 5 shows but more importantly also being regarded by others as one of the greatest anime ever I don't know why someone wouldn't want to watch it lol.

YES!!! :D 👍 --- Randy

F/SN is good so far. It's... nothing special. Nothing about the characters are particularly fresh or interesting and the way it progresses is very basic. But it's not bad by any means.

I have a question for you guys, what are the worst shows you've seen? Or maybe just shows you've dropped.

For me? Air and Haibane Renmei(it may be good, but halfway through I was booooreeeed as hell)

Could you tell if its from a H-game?

Blood C - it felt really really..dull..

Hitman Reborn! - That just plain bored me.

Inuyasha - After they didn't successfully kill naraku twice, i gave up

Ruroni Kenshin - After the Shishio arc, it just became plain stupid

Pokemon - No need to elaborate further

Yu-gi-oh - well.. capsules now? seriously?

Trigun vs Cowboy Bebop
-discuss.

Both are fantastic. I love them so much.

I'd say the only main thing to discuss is their similarities. Each has a majority of episodes that contains its own story and then near the end; BAM! Crazy 🤬 happens and all the sudden the show is completely different.

That's how I feel. It's very generic but at the same time doesn't feel bad. I think the worst thing for me about it is I saw the dub version and the English voice cast wasn't very good at all.

Could you tell if its from a H-game?

Yes. Some of the dialogue is HI-larious and definitely shows its roots.

Can someone help me with a question?
I recently started watching gundam mobile suit seed, and I was wondering if the multiple series followed a story line or if it is different plots each series.

I was watching them at the same time roughly, and LoliBurade made me sad when he said Bebop was boring. Then I mis-quoted him. But whatever~
They can still be compared. Sure a show such as S;G might have a fantastic plot, but for me it still needs to be entertaining and captivating to make me want to watch it, with its execution and characters (And sometimes execution OF characters!) and things like that.

I might compare it to how Lord of the Rings is one of the great fantasy epics out there, but when I tried to read it, Tolkien's writing style felt really slow and took ages to get anywhere for me.

But don't get me wrong, I don't think I'm trying to say that anything is bad or wrong per se, but just... not entirely to my taste, maybe. So far. A bit.
ANYWAY, I'll still keep watching 👍

Certain series follow different universes, yes. A while back, Gundam's sponsor Bandai decided that they'd make a new show every year to try and keep the show fresh and marketable. Unfortunately, this meant the Gundam franchise got a bit 'messy', and not all shows were that great. But there are still some gems in there, too.

A short summary of the series: http://www.absoluteanime.com/gundam/universe.htm
While a more detailed decription of the multiverses can be found on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gundam#Characteristics_and_variations

Just watch out for spoilers - try not to read too much! :scared:

Well..... You shall not be disappointed!

I like how you summed up my feelings about Bebop in a post about Steins;Gate :p

I know the perfect solution to this problem. Stop watching Gundam.... you're welcome.

Yuck, SEED. However I am tasked with the duty of being the Gundam Geek here and I must answer your question...no matter how much it pains me to do so.

If you're referring to the multiple stories within the CE universe then they all relate to the same plot (story line and plot are essentially the same exact thing :p). If you're referring to the entire franchise as a whole then, no, the plots vary greatly from one series to the next.

WHAT ARE YOU TELLING HIM!?

@ AyJay: Bandai handles nothing but merchandising rights, and there is no new Gundam series annually.

What's this I hear of dice not being around until January?

So um, resident Anime noob here again. I read some stuff on Wikipedia about Neon Genesis Evangelion... My question is, how does anyone on Earth understand it?

It's lot easier to grasp ahold of if you've watched anime of a similar nature beforehand as you'll then be prepared to look for the out of ordinary and think outside the box. Now having said all of that it's still going to get you -- especially End of Evangelion.

You just watch it first then question it.

I know that wasn't directed towards me, but nevertheless:
-Rosario+Vampire; Filler from beginning to end; didn't notice this before.
-Ookami Kakushi; couldn't stand the way they drew the eyes, and was displeased with how the story played out..though Kannon had a pretty awesome looking design.
-Kampfer; had potential, went the stupid route.
-Kanokon; made for perverts because that's all you'd want to watch it for anyway.
-Fortune Arterial; Teases a vampire crisis, gives you a giant SOL filler.
-Omamori Himari; aside from a harem, nothing worth watching.
-A-Channel; Tries to be the next Lucky Star, fails miserably.
-Seikon no Qwaser II; it's like they ran out of funding or something... too bad though, the concept of Qwasers was pretty cool.

Dropped these shows:
-Naruto; I could not be bothered to wait 3 episodes for one battle to finish.
-Amaenaide yo!; Waste of life repetitive (fanservice) content, like Rosario+Vampire...but at least in R+V the girls were good-looking.
-Aria the Natural; it got too boring... even though the show has a solid foundation.
-Gintama; cause it's full of Fillers! Filler night!
-Sora no Otoshimono Forte; Excessive fanservice.
-Soul Eater; lost interest.

Until you watch rebuild..

... and once 2.0 is finished, the speculations rise wildly until 3.0 comes out.

Two of the most famous animes of the Filipino masses.

I am ashamed of my fellow countrymen. (at least there are Filipinos that have good taste too, a few of them belong in this thread :D)
