Sounds similar to the plot summary for NGE.:p

It's a bit different from NGE. In some ways, it's better. O___O

It is kinda like NGE on the surface though, in the sense of that starts off being about kids piloting robots to save mankind, but... like Evangelion and Madoka, it's got some interesting twists. :D

Sorry Team Moe, but moe is a bit of a turn-off for me...how else could I find Feyris-tan SO GODDAMN ANNOYING?![/COLOR][/B]

Read below.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica!

So I read a bit on it and I'm curious. It looks like just a moe show of sorts, Lucky Star and whatnot, but people say it's dark and tragic?

Some dude on aniDB
Don't be tricked with the front cover image of this series. The best way of describing this series is... think of a girly series, then make it dark... very dark and serious, and in a nut shell, this is what this series is. Full of tragedy, unique artwork, good music, crying and seriousness (despite all the characters being little girls). I think this could have been better than it is now if it was focused on more mature characters, but thats what makes this series great, you dont expect this initially, just some girly crap. Unique and different, worth a shot!

How does this work?

-> I just stumbled this old anime called Iketeru Futari and I'm having a big laugh watching it, plus...

...this girl, Koizumi Akira. The other girl with blue hair/red eyes combo!!

How does this work?

The idea goes like this:

Show appears cute and innocent on the surface, but that's only to decieve the viewer until stuff starts to get really 🤬-ed up.

OK, I might try it after Rurouni.

Noooo, watch Bokurano first. :grumpy:

driftking18594 -> Nah, she doesn't look like Ritsuko, Akira's too cute. Ritsuko on the other hand is like wine, very refined. :boggled:

In the same way I guess I found Nia annoying at first. Cept she's not moe, just badass. :sly:

To be honest Nia isn't bad for me any more. I was just really annoyed she was nothing like I thought she'd be...I thought she'd act more like Rei really, but instead she was happy from the get go and that annoyed me. Now she's fine to me. Not loveable though...

*gasp* It's Rei smiling!

Oh wait no it isn't. :( Seems like an expy to me.

Seems interesting. However, it never got licensed here.:mad:Only company I could see licensing it is Nozomi Entertainment. Anime that is 2005 and older at this point, if it's not licensed, it most likely won't get licensed. Only some licensors like Nozomi Entertainment go after older titles like that.

Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal is only 4 (Epic) episodes, it'll take him only two hours to watch it, so why should he watch something much longer first?

Gawdammit, double post.<_<

@ the bickering about moe and magic on madoka..... Thats the exact perception i want you to have of it, now do me a favour and watch til the end of episode 3. Reserve a final verdict then.

Thanks,
Brigade Chief

P.S. You'll never find a house or school as cool as Madoka's.

I meant watch Bokurano before Madoka. Sorry if that was a little unclear. :p

^ And the (anime) series is way too short [like 5min/ep!?]. I hope they re-do the anime that follows the manga version (although I havent read the manga version, yet). :)

I'm watching too much Drama/Tragedy already. I'll soon start to think my life has no meaning and whatnot

I was actually going to give a moe/stupid show a try to cheer up a bit and it turns out it's another Tragedy :nervous:

I'll pass, for now. It's on my to watch list.

Considering the anime is from 1999, it's unlikely. The popularity has probably died down so much it won't do well. Even InuYasha had a big popularity drop. That's why they squeezed like 30 volumes of manga into 26 episodes (It made things paced way too fast. It's a bad idea to make one volume of a manga equal one episode. So much material inside each volume.).

Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal is only 4 (Epic) episodes, it'll take him only two hours to watch it, so why should he watch something much longer first?

It's also convenient because my broadband expires on Wednesday.

And Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal will be the last anime you will ever watch?? :(

It's absolutely epic though. One of the very few anime I have ever given a 10/10 to, and it takes a lot for a show to be a 10/10 for me.

So driftking, will you ever be back? I need more people to talk about animu to, not less.:(

The sad thing about the last one is since she's animator from the looks of things, she wouldn't have the time for a man. Animators have jobs just about as brutal as being a mangaka. One big difference is while they work so many long hours, they get paid wages that are barely livable.

Illustrator, if anything..animators are too busy looking at timelines and clicking the play button to be fondling with tablets :p

Just watch madoka until episode 3

And Nichijou really isn't that moe. It's really good comedy bit you like school rumble you'd like Nichijou even more.

That points to me, since I watched everything School Rumble except the School Rumble: Third Semester OVA. FUNi never licensed that.:(
