We start off with a new threat out of the blue, but ok, threats are usually out of the blue anyway. This one is special though, it's apparently engineered in a way that only Shuu can beat it (even so, when Shuu backs out Gai says they will continue with the invasion anyway? Lol?) almost as if it's only there so Shuu can show his cool powers.
Now we move on to some character development. Gai finally gets off his all mighty pedestal and shows his human side... very good, looks like the story can have some depth after all.
Soon go back to the action again. Inori shows some cool moves, bla bla bla... the whole invasion scene might have just as well come off a Hollywood movie, complete with incompetent "stormtroopers" unable to shoot their own faces... Gai destroys a robot with his bare hands, even though he was unable to pick up a cross from the floor in the previous scene?! But ok, let's move on. The plan goes somewhat wrong and now the satellite is crashing down. No problem, that's just another chance for our hero Shuu to show his cool powers and voilá, done, everything is fine again.
So, what was this episode all about? Shuu and his cool powers. Pretty much nothing else. It has an interesting scene, looks like Shuu is finally coming to terms with Gai, but what should be the focus of the episode is buried under tons of cool and flashy action scenes.
