hmm, what? I don't see any fancy profiles there, but I do see that Terry, a GTP'er for less than 3 years, has twice as many page views as Yay, while Yay has been a member since he was 13, back in 2005, and has 1/3 the total posts of Terry.[/Index]

okay, I may be having a problem with GTP that I don't understand, because I remember both AOS and Loli having custom colorful user pagers, but I visit them now and it's all white normal BG. What's going on?
 
You probably turned off user customizations, you can turn it back on in your profile settings.

Most people can't use a nice, proper camera anyhow. My camera has an auto mode, but I never use it because then it doesn't look much better than some camera that costs a tenth of the price.

That, and the confused looks I get when I hand someone a 4 pound camera and they ask how to zoom and I say "there is no zoom. It is a prime lens."

Absolutely priceless, and almost always followed with either "well, that is dumb, my xyz does 20 times" or "and you paid how much for this?"

Which also results in a another priceless look.

Oh, and as for anime related stuff, the Guilty Crown OST is pretty noises and sounds and stuff. Yay!

As for GC OST, Bloc is nice to listen to after hearing the current theme songs... it makes for a great heroic comeback in a fight.

Keep in mind, a blade can be an X-acto knife. Probably from modeling Gundams or some such.

Not exactly something to brag about anyhow.
 
Ah, thanks, finally found the button to click. Lain, what is thay PERV w/half maple leaf? Everybody else looks pretty good. Also, I've worked in a camera shop where I got to take home whatever I wanted, even for extended periods like on vacation, so I understand, hells yeah, there's some amazing equipment out there. I mean, 35mm film today is only slightly better than digital when you get your shot right, but Hasselblad MF, still 20x better. And if you ever have the chance to shoot large format film, OMG, you can blow it up to 2x3 feet and it still looks crystal clear.

I've never worked with large format but I've seen the negatives. Medium format was a joy to work on, even if it was an older Mamiya body. 35mm is hit or miss, at least with color, as to get the most out of it you have to develop it and print it yourself so you've got proper controls. Personally, I've been shooting digital for several years now and quite like the results.

At the moment, I've one of the fancy dSLR's (5D Mark II) and some L lenses. The results are quite impressive, and high ISO is just insane, usable images from 6400 and 12800 ISO shots. And by usable, I mean 8x12 inch prints or larger.

The digital medium formats are very impressive as well, but their cost is insane and something a hobbyist or even semi-professional could never touch.

Sorry for not dropping by my fellow anime lovers. GT5 and homework have taken my freetime.

The PERV logo is just a remnant from my former uberpimp profile. I stripped out the Gendo picture and replaced the black/orange color scheme with a generic gray scheme for until I completely redo my profile page, but a few things from my uberpimp profile scheme such as the PERV logo still remain on account of my laziness when dismantling it. :p

Off topic randomness but... for whatever reason, my plane tickets to Singapore costed the government a whole 50 cents more monies than the plane tickets for a fellow shipmate of mine.

...though I suppose the difference between $1600 and $1600.50 is relatively minor. :sly:

I'm pretty disappointed that I've got aisle seats on all 3 of my flights though... :indiff:

Though actually, now that I think about it... my shipmate's seats were all aisle seats too. And in the online travel safety course we had to take, I'm pretty sure they recommended window seats... oh my pudding, IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!!

Yo Walter, if you don't want to spend the cash on a nice DSLR, get one of these bad boys (the GF3 is out also). Inexpensive and produces beautiful pictures. Get a 50mm prime to go with it and you are set! My friend got one of these before he got his 60D and this little Panasonic is fantastic. I am getting one myself in February.
