Yes never a series nor even a manga, they were "project" pictures made by Sadamoto but that he never materialized in anything, mainly due because he is such a lazy-ass artist. They appeared in the Der Mond artbook and NO, they are not EVA related at all.

It's almost been 4 years. The last One Piece episode aired on Toonami March 22, 2008. After that, Cartoon Network axed the show.

Among the general population? You're in the Philippines right? The Philippines are close to Japan (Where One Piece is VERY, VERY mainstream.), so that explains that, but when you come over here, among the general population it's been forgotten along with the other anime that were on Toonami. It can't even get ads in non-anime/manga magazines here. I don't think it's had a single TV ad since the time of the anime boom here.

The only people at my school for example who know of One Piece are the ones who watch anime. The ones who don't only remember it as that show that aired on Toonami ages ago, or haven't heard of it.

Only Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Bakugan, Digimon, and Beyblade are mainstream here. As for Bleach, it's debatable.

I can't agree more. It's good, but it's not 9,000/10 good like the Narutards make it out to be.

I Googled the company name, and sure enough, it's a Japanese company, so I'm not surprised One Piece would be associated with an ad for a Japanese company. One Piece has a big influence on many companies there as it's VERY mainstream in Japan. There's even a One Piece theme park IIRC.
