I had no idea how much good subbed anime was on Hulu plus now, last time I'd checked it was almost nothing but third-tier crap. Finally watched through the original Hellsing TV series, which is something I'd been meaning to do for over a decade.

Thought I'd let you guys know that Infinite Stratos is a dumb show you should avoid watching and that Ergo Proxy gets confusing near the end.

:sly:

You speak highly of a show you've never watched. I suggest you fix that... or else... or else... your words may actually become true and the Madoka movies might *gasp* actually suck!

If there's an overwhelming amount of people that should be speaking one language, they'll keep it Japanese, however if there's the odd English scene, they'll use Engrish.

That complaint is pretty stupid, because most people who say it wouldn't be phased if they had people speaking English in a North American movie set in France or Italy or something.

Japanese show with subtitles for American characters, with English actors dubbing the Japanese characters.

Ok, I realize that thinking what I was is weird, but what about in Hetalia? There is no way every single country could know one universal language.

No country does, but you're trying to force your argument in at this point. Everyone in Monster for example will speak Japanese. Most of the characters are in context speaking German, while another bunch are speaking Czech, yet each language is still delivered to us in Japanese. They're not going to deliver the German in Japanese and then let every other language be its own. That wouldn't make sense. Also take into consideration the amount of people they'd have to hire to cover all the languages spoken.

Only one movie I've seen has done what he wants correctly. Boondock Saints. But Ok96, you keep repeating the same thing we already heard. Other people have given solid cases. Where is yours?

Got another new figure - Kuroneko maid by Good Smile. GF ordered it for my birthday last month, but slow SAL shipping meant it didn't show up until today.

Not sure if she'll stay on my desk or not - she's really meant to be viewed from a kinda low angle, which doesn't work that well from sitting height.

Lol, you really, REALLY should read a few pages back to see what his girlfriend is like. You'll scream.

I know ive been keeping up with the goings on  i just havnt said anything till now :dunce:
Most of all i just love his collection as a whole.

That Kuroneko's eyes are off, yo.

They work if you're at just the right angle.

Actually a downside, though, is the noticeable paint smudge on her tail. My friend is Good Smile's US social media rep/official blogger/whatever, maybe I need to go complain to her. (Kidding.)

Something does seem a little off about the face, but I love Kuroneko in that outfit.

That reminds me of Balalaika in Black Lagoon. Although she's Russian, she speaks Japanese except for...
...the time where she goes to Japan, where she attempts to speak English and ends up sounding like her jaw is wired shut.

I thought you watched it dubbed.

Some people probably will..I would be find with it. So I bought a Miku plushie...

Just finished Haganai. Kinda "meh." Felt a lot like a remix of other shows I'd watched recently. Liked Sena, couldn't stand Yozora.

Gotta figure out what to watch next. I've got the K-On boxset that I need to watch, only ever made it to about ep 6, but I might watch more Hulu stuff instead. Still need to track down Zero no Tsukaima, I watched the first few seasons but GF has never seen it. Maybe I'll watch Shakugan no Shana, that's another Kugimiya show, and I haven't seen it.
