Just finished Oreshura. My thoughts:
1. Animation is definitely up to par, if anything. Light colors, light hearted, and funny. This goes for the entire style of the anime.
2. The story is (unfortunately) completely generic. Think of Nisekoi, but only slightly different.
3. The characters are likable but also follow generic archetypes of harem members.
4. The music is nothing to pay attention to.
Overall, I would give it 5/10 completely average. Let's look at High School DxD next :sly:

Also, I didn't know Yoko Kanno did the music for this. It's like the final push to make me watch it. It's... 4 episodes so far?

As for the song you just linked about being different, with Yoko Kanno you can never expect something or other. She doesn't have a recognizeable style a lá Yuki Kajiura, to put down an example of a big-dog composer too. You can call it immediately when you're listening to a Yuki piece, yet Yoko Kanno is so versatile, and I can't emphazise this enough, SO versatile, she can do anything so well, so she has never been trapped in one style. It's what fascinates me about her, she can do any style, any type of music, in a masterful manner.

Double post because I finished listening to Terror's soundtrack. Brilliant as expected, quite misterious, with amazing instrumentals and cool vocal tracks. A true jewel.

It has a similar sort of feel to Plaid's Tekkonkinkreet soundtrack, though less whimsical overall. Veat even sounds like something straight out of their last album.

Walt isn't a bad track to have stuck in your head for 3 weeks either.

Ah, now that you made me think about it, you're right! Altough it is quite more listener-friendly than Tekkon Kinkreet's. But I deffo can see Plaid rocking some of the tunes off Terror's OST.
 
If you have a spare 4 and a half hours or so, look up Diamond in the Rough on Youtube and watch it all.

You're supposed to know Touhou fanfiction to know how it works. But with how well it's written...you don't need to. Just ****ing watch it.
If you're looking for pure, evoked emotion, there is almost nothing better.

Funny how I held out on watching it all for a little while till now. That was only for just under a month. I've passed on Disappearance for 2 and a half years at least now. I cannot see how it can possibly be that much better.
 
I just came back from watching DBZ Battle of Gods, and it is awesome. If any of you had the chance to watch it in the theatres, you (and I) know it was worth it.
 
TiR has a new player.

Five has entered the game as an FBI affiliate (in episode 5 no less). It's now clear that Nine and Twelve's intent was never to bring loss of life in their attacks, but very nearly became murderers thanks to her. Or in Nine's case, a fatal casualty of their own bomb.

Their targets so far seem be to be linked to the same organisation. Too early to say if they're revenge attacks or something more equivocal.

That's not the most fitting vinyl for an MX-5. Much rather have Cirno, to represent its moronic fanbase and overpopularity.
 
Had a little fun with a Shameimaru cosplayer at Otakon a few years ago where we decided to have pictures of us doing one of those Hong Kong Gunplay poses using cameras instead of guns pointed at each others heads.:lol::D
 
...OK, Komachi looks good on anything.

But I'd stick her on a One:1 instead. Represents the axe murderer image well.

Komachi-chi made me laugh today. And also squee in delight a little too. She made me happy today. She also has the joint second most popular tits in Touhou, tied with Yukari and just behind Sanae.

The best part of the 6th one was the JUDGEYing. It went so well with a bad personality Akyuu, a scheming Yukari, a strange Lily White/Black, a jerk Yorihime and...a censored out OC, I think.




This is the funniest one.
Sanae was also co-host of the 4th one and looked as cute as all ****.
The JUDGEYing for this was funny too.

I would love to see more background on Five, Twelve, and Nine. The flashbacks do suggest some of their origins though: All of them came from an asylum or some special institution. If I miss some messages feel free to bring it up. In the end I'm sure we'll receive more exposition on Five and her relationship to 12 and 9.

I'm vastly curious as to what role Lisa will play. So far she's just a side person. From last ep. she obviously wants to escape the world she lives in. That says her motivation. But... only future ep's will tell, really. Whatever role she will take I feel like it'll be a ground-breaking one.
