Nothing happend at all today, to say so.

Anyway started to talk to a old friend again. She is really cute and has some of the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Let's see what happens.

After one full semester and two weeks of a second one in high school, I finally have enough courage to start talking to a girl that sits next to me in Spanish class that I really like. What happens? La profesor (the teacher) announces that we'll be getting new seats tomorrow. :banghead:

One good thing as of yet though, is that we don't know where our new seats are or who we sit by, so I still have a chance. :indiff:

Problem even then, however, that I get more nervous than a statue under a flock of pigeons when I'm next to her. :nervous:

So the only time your could possible talk to her is in one class while sitting next to her? That doesn't sound like confidence to me.

I never see her anywhere else. If I did, that'd be much different. In retrospect, "confidence" probably wasn't the best word to use, but my mind drew a massive blank like none other. :indiff:

I also suppose that I could have laid back on the wall bangs too. :(

BIG EDIT: "Courage" is the word I'm looking for. That's it. :)

Well, if some of you remember, the last time I posted on this thread, was about a girl (Suddenly, I started listening mentally to the Nirvana song :p) that I had some feelings and on one day to another, she said that she was seeing another guy.

On the last time we hang out with some friends in common, I noticed that her boyfriend (if I can call it that) wasn't around, and I asked one friend if they are still seeing or not. He said not.
So, I thought I would get more close to her, and had my second chase, when, out of nowhere, she sent a text saying that she wants to go have a coffee and talk, tomorrow.

Let's see, what's on her mind this time.

(My english is kinda rusty, sorry :P)
 
I'm way too nervous and depressed to say anything unless they say something first themselves these days. My life took a turn toward a really low point that started in fifth grade and lasted until seventh that took too much self confidence out of me that I'm still feeling to this day, which is just over halfway through ninth grade.

I'm even nervous that I won't talk to a girl that I know really well unless she says something to me, even just to say hi.

How is this connected to this thread? Well, as I said, that low point I mentioned took way too much self confidence out of me. You can imagine what you need self confidence to do.

You have to think: "🤬 it! I'm going for it" regardless of what you feel. Shyness can set you back, but it isn's an excuse.
Troubles with self-confidence com and go. My advice: be as egocentric as you can to your self, it seemed to help me a lot.
The hardest is to start the converstion then things flow. Try to say hi and start a bit of small talk with a general question, you'll gain confidence and a smile (plus a sense of accomplishment) will come right away.

Bull. You go to the same school. She's in the hall, waiting for the bus, at her locker, in the cafeteria. Take your pick. She's around, you're just making excuses.

Wishing good luck usually has an opposite reaction. Dude, you're portuguese you can take the situation around improvising a lot. We were created that way. Anyway, make the most of the situation
 
OMG i'm glad i didn't see this topic back in the day after it ended i would've ranted for days probably lol. Been single about 2.5yrs now and occasionally i get the inkling to get back out there but then I come to my senses haha. It kinda sucks in the winter cause there's not much to do and would be nice to have somebody to hang with but hopefully i'll be moving to the south this year and then can just enjoy my cars and outdoor activities year round.

We have the word most apropriate to this situation. "Desenrasca-te" :p

For the non-portuguese, it means, “to disentangle” yourself out of a bad situation (To MacGyver it)


As you can see, I'm back, and it went good. We talked about a lot of things, and I enjoyed it. Nothing special happened, just a lot of laughs and good disposition.

Well, I've been speaking to someone for about a week now and we've both agreed that we like each other so it's now a case of meeting up for the first time whenever she's free. Fingers crossed it all goes well.
 
I've decided after talking with a friend, I need to stop trying. It's how I ended up with my previous two girlfriends. I didn't try to seduce them or immediately aim to go out with them, it just happened.
With my current 'method' I must have failed with at least 5 girls.
It's going to be tough, 'not trying', but it's worked before so why not.

Yer that is just a lack of luck, the not trying method seems to be fairly reliable in eventually providing you with a female that likes you.

Yet there is another significant problem. I'm a quite conservative guy so I refuse to take the first step and I'm pretty certain that I blew some oppurtunities because of that
