This thread is nonsense to me. If there's a category like 500pp, whip up the fastest car of that category and use it. That's the point. You're supposed to use the best car in its category. There's no reason to complain. If we could stop calling each other "new" and accusing me of using a Suzuki GSX-R/4 to "compensate for my lack of experience," that'd be great. It's not anyone's fault that your car is slower than someone else's car.

It gets a bit boring when out of 1000+ cars only one is ever used by everyone or you can't win.

You really don't have a clue of what PP is,do you?

So according with your logic,if Kaz bring up a 500PP car that runs like 600PP,should everyone just take it and OK,right? It turns in a one-make race and all other cars in game become useless, and it's OK? If that's your troughts,I can say that you still don't know what Gran Turismo series is about.

It's not anyone's fault that your car is slower than someone else's car.

Sure it's not your fault. It's just a matter of good sense. If I see someone who uses every single time one specific car among many others, just because it's the fastest one,I can say that this driver can't trust in his skills at all. Sorry if this does offends you.

depends on the track if the car is fast in comparison to others... PP is not everything as we all know... on Autuumn Ring a KTM X-Bow R is hard to beat but on Highspeed Ring: KTM R < VW W12 Nardó or McLaren F1.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/100-cars-on-3-different-tracks.320276/

the more corners, the better for a light car... also different drivers perform differently with the same car. the guy with 600+ cars on suzuka is faster than me with most cars but much slower with Gallardo or some BMWs for example... it´s senseless to agree on a long list of cars not to use...
Agreed. Many of the fast cars on smaller tracks with multiple corners, like the Elise and X-BOW, will lose on tracks that have more high speed sections and longer straights.

What's wrong with seeing a common PP benchmark as a category?

Is there any need to say this crap? I've been playing Gran Turismo for a very long time and I damn know what it's about, thank you very much.

Performance Points are suposed to show cleary how cars actually does on track in general aspects. Cars with same PP numbers should do very close times, but as we could see, some few cars seens to be so much overpowered with same PP than others,so this means that the PP system is still not accurate as it should be. But remember,PP is a system meant to calculate in numbers the general performance of a car on track, not a category like GT3,JGTC or LMP1.

OK... sorry for that. But would be pointless to have 1000+ cars in a game that 5 or 6 of then are just unbeatable on their PP range. So what's the point of have various cars to choose if everyone chooses only a specific one, just because is ridiculously faster? The main point of GT for me was always the incredibly variety of cars,it's very sactisfatory to see then facing each other in races,I mean, races with various different cars.
