Here were my ideas, in this regard:

Audi R8 '05
Bentley Speed 8 '03
BMW V12 LMR '99

I get the idea that the Audi would go into Gr.1, but I'm not as sure about the Bentley and the BMW - though I want to say that the Bentley would go into Gr.2 alongside the Toyota GT-One since both raced under the LMGTP class.

Of course, I had more suggestions based around various prototype classes, but they were from the earlier Group C era, or the current LMDh/LMH classes. Speaking of which, I still think the Lamborghini SC63 and Alpine A424 could show up despite not being that great IRL; indeed, something I do like about Gran Turismo in general is that it'll include race cars that may've not necessarily had the best racing histories.

We know that with this kind of cars it's all about the relationship between the manufacture and PD, Porsche, BMW and Ferrari are very tight with the studio and it's not random that 3 of the 4 new Hy are from them and the most competitive GT3s are also from them, I don't think Lamborghini and alpine, both out of the endurance world I don't think they care about GT, same with other companies such as McLaren and Chevrolet (American manufacturers in general)

Regarding Alpine, I think the relationship between Renault and Polyphony Digital is pretty good too. The problem these days is more about what Alpine means for Renault.

Piggybacking off of the Hypercars announcement, now we are just missing Late 90s/early 2000s LMP cars.

I'd say the two that are in the high likelyhood of appearing are the BMW V12 LMR, and Audi R8, both of which have been in the series before.

The Bentley while it would be cool, is a brand not in the game yet, same with the Cadillac Northstar and Panoz, though all 3 brands used to be in GT, so it's a never say never type of thing.

The Nissan R391 could also be a sleeper pick, it's appeared in Forza, and being a Japanese race car that won the Fuji 1000 km, it has some pedigree.

Now what be would be a really good surprise is if Kaz and Co. manage to get the unraced Porsche LMP2000. The car is fully functional and was showcased recently, so it's not off the table, and GT has been known to dabble in the obscure parts of history.

Only sad part is, they could all potentially be in Gr. 2, because of the Toyota GT-One.

Part of me feels the 488 and the Astons might as well GT Auto parts for their GT3 counterparts since both were designed to be convertible between GT3 and GTE.

The Viper GT3-R should have got GTS-R parts in GT Auto too (its wing is used by the Gr.4 and an option for the road model), but it already suffers from launch cars being in disadvantage wrt customization parts. This also applies to the 1st-gen V8 Vantage too.

I would put the entire GT3 roster here but I chose the car with the least possibility of being added, the corvette c8 GT3, in real life without mufflers it's as loud as the Valkyrie lmh

The only track that I really want is the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Imola, I've been there multiple times and would be perfect for gran turismo, great track for street cars and racing cars of course

The McLaren Senna, however, is in licensing limbo as it isn't featured in Forza Horizon 6 despite being a former Forza cover car, with rumors of conflict between McLaren themselves and the Instituto Ayrton Senna, which means the chances for it to be featured in GT7 are somewhat doubtful unless there are positive signs with the car seen in other games.
 
Also It feels like McLaren doesn't really car about videogames at the moment, even iracing struggled to get the 720gt3, FH6 doesn't have any new models and as you said the senna vanished from the game also there's no sign of any relationship at the moment between GT and McLaren beside the vgt, even the 650gt3 that we have is useless and they don't even bother to make it competitive

Also, Assoluto Racing will lose all of their McLarens as of their next update.

Is this AI generated? There is no Audi RS Q8 in GT7.

I think there are several SUVs that would be fun in GT7. For me personally they just need to have at least one of the following: History/Character/Soul or a really interesting powertrain or design. In my opinion the cars listed above do not meet these criteria.

Yeah it does have that AI "plasticity".

The Ford Puma ST would be a fun addition. It's way slower than the "super-SUVs", but much lighter, so it's also closer to a conventional car.

My current wishlist includes the "attainable" current GT3 cars we don't have yet (M4, Mustang, Aston Martin). McLaren and Corvette seem to be licensing dead ends (Corvette with the Pratt Miller situation and McLaren with unknown situation).
 
Given the fact that GT7 lacks U.S. pickup trucks, I would love to see some get added into the game. Especially given the fact that we have pickup truck races in GT7 but a lack of variety when it comes to trucks in GT7. So my wishlist for trucks includes

I kind of wonder what seemingly "obsolete" or "out-classed" models of cars we already have in the game could be added? For example, one (or both) of the premium Toyota Yaris/Vitz models that last appeared in GT6, despite not being nearly as flashy as the more contemporary GR Yaris.

I like where you're going with this - though I'd personally be perfectly content even if we just got the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 and the Dodge Ram SRT-10 '05 in particular.

Thinking back to the Jaguar XJ13 we have in game, why not include some other cars in a similar boat of never having a proper chance to shine.

Initially developed by Bruce McLaren as both a high performance super car and to contest the group 4 class at LeMans, only one prototype was built before Bruce McLarens untimely passing. McLaren has rebuilt a period accurate copy to original specs, and it would finally add a new McLaren to the game, even if it isn't one most people would expect.

Another aborted sports car project is the Ligier JS2, built by Guy Ligier with the intent to compete in Group 4 competition both at LeMans and in the rally circuit.
Unfortunately gas crisis financial troubles hindered the production of the 500 necessary cars, so while the JS2 did ultimately race, it was forced to compete against much faster prototypes instead of the intended GT class rivals.

Built in response to the Shelby Cobra, the Corvette Gran Sport unfortunately never had the proper chance to shine, as GM cut the project as soon as it was discovered. Like the JS2, the Gran Sport's racing career had it facing dedicated prototypes rather than the intended GT cars, a battle it was never going to win.
 
These would be lovely workarounds if we don’t see the Lotus Carlton.
