THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, we jump from the future to the past. Last winner @AngryKowski set this theme, let's hear what he has to say :

This fortnight's theme we are going back to the Goodwood circuit and compete in the famous Gtplanet Mini Cooper Trophy.

We are in the 60s/70s and this is an endurance racing series which only contains the little Mini Cooper racer from 1965. You have to create a livery for your own racing stable with a matching racing suit and a team-logo (you don't have to do an actual logo, it can be the name of the team written down). Your team-name has to have your gtplanet-username in it and you have to stick the logo with your user-made number/plate on your car somewhere. To make things a bit easier for everyone, you are only allowed to paint your helmet in one color, no decals.

You can use various sponsors too (they don't have to be time-accurate sponsors), but your design must be original, no replicas. It's the 60s/70s, you can and you should go wild and funky with your design.

There is no canvas too small for great ideas. Good luck!

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
- You have to use an user-made team/logo.

- The car have to use your user name on a numberboard.
- The car can wear classic/old logos or current ones.
- The livery don’t have to be Sport Mode compatible.
- You have to create a matching suit.
- To ensure that everyone can enter, the helmet can only be painted to match the car/suit, but can't have decals or designs on it.

BONUS PICTURE SETTINGS :
- Three bonus pictures :
- Two of the car moving on the Goodwood Circuit.
- One on the pits with the driver

- The main pictures have to include the driver too

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
- Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:

- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread


ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
- No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.


MANDATORY PICTURES

- You have to post a front quarter view and a rear quarter view of your car.
- You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

yes, you don't have to include numbers and special characters in to your team name as long as we can recognize that it's you. Nuschel is perfectly fine :)

@Teal Yes, you can use your name without any additions. But it has to be a bit more than just the usual driver-name on the windows as we see on regular racing cars.

Are variations to the name ok, once its a recognisable logo?
Have an idea for one given I've put up so many liveries in the last few months.
 
Are we allowed slight alterations to the spelling of our username-based team names? Having a Toyota name from, at the earliest, the late 70s on a 60s/70s Mini might be a bit awkward for a livery :lol: It would only shorten down to something like 'Supa' or an acroymn like 'SUPR'

Thanks for clarification mate. Some of us might have completely different usernames in different communities. So let's go with our GTPlanet identities.
Would a team name like this match my entry: RRR Raphaele Rubber Rapers?

Haha you guys make things complicated. Your name must be recognizeable. So you can delete numbers or special characters, but you can't spell it differently. Yes usernames are sometimes silly AF (look at my name) but it should be fun and easy to spot whos car it is. In the end we will have a grid with all of us from the community, and this the point. I for myself would call my team: AngryKowski Tarmac-Fighters but AngryKowski Motorsport is totally fine too

If someone doesn't fit to the criteria we can always judge it in the end with the poll. No need to make discussions out of it
