Definitely one of the lesser known group 5 cars this livery is based on the Zakspeed MK2 escort group 5 car. Before Zakspeed used the now legendary group 5 Capri they used this little beast based on the unlikely candidate of a ford escort, remember this is the same category as the Porsche 935. I ended up using the Mustang as a base as it's both a ford and it's shape best fit that of the original car. I was unsure if whether to change my original entry as there are already a couple of other Mustangs and the colours are similar to that of @daan s entry but felt like the bolder more complex design was worth entering. Livery is also sport mode compatible!

First time doing one of these. Hopefully the pictures and everything didn't come out too terribly. :lol:

Livery is original, not a replica of anything in particular. Actually had the color set on a car in Wreckfest that looked "'70's-ish", just so happened that I thought it would work well here. Probably should have picked the sponsor before picking the colors but, a friend mentioned that it looked "Hot Wheels" enough that it felt justified.

Thanks for the challenge, fun to do something a little different!

Here is my Nissan GT-R Hermetite Gr.5.

I went for for a Gr.2 car as I think the body of the cars are the closest to the Gr.5, even if I had to switch BMW for Nissan.
The base is Gold Y2 with 2 25% black decals.

The base model is the Hermetite BMW 3.5 CSL that ran at LeMans in 1976.

I went with a replica as well for this challenge. I wanted to give a shot at replicating some of the more unique stlying elements of the 935 K3, i think some pulled off a little better than others on the modern RSR, but over all i am happy with the results.

I'm guessing you masked everything to do the gold correct? That's too bad the game didn't have the right shade for you. A warmer one.
