MOVIE STARS
LEC 13.png

THIS MONTH'S THEME

Winner of LEC 10, @Nuschel01, selected this month’s theme from the random draw. Originally conceived by @Strax, this is the brief…

You've been appointed director of the vehicles department for a new movie, and you've been asked to focus your attention in choosing the car driven by the protagonist. The producers want it to be a focal center of the story, and if possible, they'd like it to become an icon for the future, pretty much what happened to the Supra from FnF, the Mustang Shelby from Gone in 60 seconds, and the such.

Which movie is it? You decide! A movie set in the world of Gr.1 racing, similar to a modern "Le Mans" with Steve McQueen? A street racing story such as Fast and Furious? Or maybe a police movie set in the 60's? Anything is fine! Design the next Hollywood icon on wheels!

And if possible, though it's not mandatory, give us a little insight on what the movie you thought about is, and how the car fits in. Again, this is not mandatory at all, it's just for some extra fun.

Please read the rules below to make sure you don't miss anything when you post your entry, as ignoring them can get you disqualified.

CARS:
  • No restrictions
  • Yes, VGT too as you may very well set you movie in the future

BODY PARTS / WIDEBODY:
  • Allowed

LIVERIES:
  • Original designs only

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS:
  • If you are designing a car that is set to be street-legal, it MUST have a proper number plate if it has the related space (complete freedom on which one it is, just don't leave the plates with the original GT car logos)
  • The car doesn't need to be Sport Mode compatible

BONUS PICTURE SETTINGS:
  • A Bonus shot must be an action scene from your movie

USER MADE DECALS:
  • Allowed

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

  • The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here.
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following: FINAL ENTRY
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
  • You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
  • Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
  • Absolutely no entries which utilise edited/hacked file saves.
  • Winner gets to choose the following month’s theme.
  • Winners cannot enter their own theme!
  • The organisers may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
  • It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.

ENTRY PRESENTATION
  • All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures).
  • You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory location and settings as shown in the quote below.
  • You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler (
...
) with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else).
  • You have to make one post with ONLY the set allowed number of pictures and the FINAL ENTRY (see above) mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry, but please put all additional images in a spoiler. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.
  • It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
  • Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
  • Do not attach your phots directly to your entry post.
  • A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
  • Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
  • No post-game editing of any entry image is allowed.
  • Mark your entry with which platform you're on and which mode you're using, whether it’s taken on PS4 Base, PS4 Pro, PS5 Raytracing or PS5 Framerate.

MANDATORY PICTURES
  • You have to post a front and a rear quarter view of your car:
    • Mandatory Scape: S&Company East, Saitama, Japan (scape number 5)
    • Focal Length: ~80mm ±5mm
    • Aperture: f5.6 or f8.0
    • Shutter Speed: 1/1 Second
    • Exposure Correction: +0.5 to +1.0
  • Do not use any Filters or Effects at all and only the camera setting above within the allowed limits; the pictures are supposed to be as equal as possible for all entries and not give anyone who is a bit more savvy with the Scapes Camera an advantage! Try to stay as close as possible to how the video shows the shot to be taken!

NOTE: if you have previously entered, just go to Scapes > My Library > click your previous entry > Open Scapes > change car to the new entry, refocus and snap a new photo. No need to reposition the camera/car unless its proportions are wildly different.

Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification. If you have questions, start a convo with me, Matski or any other participant you feel comfortable reaching out to.

PLEASE NOTE: Repeat offenders will be disqualified. If your entry doesn’t match the rules you will be made aware of it at least once, so please keep an eye out for any notifications reaching your profile.

I’ll have to go and have a look as I’ve no idea what to do at the moment

I just saw that only original designs are allowed.
Great shot about that because i was expecting a lot of Fast & Furious replicas.

Besides that, not my favorite theme, but i'l see what i can do.

I sat out alot going on and after the safety car one I was a bit down and the next few just didn’t tickle my fancy, But this one is right up my alley!! One thing I wish GT would allow with liveries is if we get or buy a supercharger that we could have it hang out of the hood ie fnf charger, or the police interceptor from mad max.

Haru Fujiwara (07-07-1997) has always dreamt of owning and racing a legendary 90s sports car. But he suddenly got ran over by a car while on his way to school. Years later he was searching around the used car lots of his home city of Niigata. He found a Nissan SKYLINE GTR V R33 (1997), the same age as himself. Surprisingly it was the same car that knocked him over some years prior with the little money he did have he bought it and adorned the sides with his lucky number 7. Styling the look of his car after Dodge Charger from one of his favourite American TV series Dukes of Hazzard. He takes it to all racetracks around Japan and spends the money from his part time job to make the car faster. Only time will tell if Haru is successful?

I'd watch this.

Charlie Rodriguez was once one of the most promising street racers in New York City, him and his best friend, Davey dominated the scene until one fateful night when Charlie lost control of his car and crashed into his friend’s car which erupted into a ball of flames as the NOS line broke killing Davey instantly. Since that day Charlie has never raced again.

Now a depressed 40 something year old taxi driver in NYC, Charlie barely gets by with the fares he can get in his old Mercedes taxi and every day blames himself for Davey’s death.

One night after drowning his sorrows in a seedy bar in an even seedier part of town he ends up losing far more money than he has left to lose and also his beloved taxi in a poker game against a drug dealer with cartel connections.

Desperate not to lose his only means of making a living he begs the dealer to let him work off the debt and keep his taxi. Luckily for Charlie the dealer has heard rumours about his talents behind the wheel, so the dealer makes him an offer he can’t refuse.

The annual New York to Miami car rally begins next week. It is a competition that comes with a million dollar prize for the winner. In order to keep his taxi and pay off his debt the cartel man demands Charlie enters the race and wins the prize money for the dealer. He also demands that Charlie fills his trunk with kilos of cocaine to deliver to various cartel customers along the route.

Reluctantly Charlie agrees and begins work on tuning his 1971 AMG Taxi ready for the race.

During the race from New York Charlie makes some enemies with other drivers and unfortunately draws attention from the police resulting in some high paced frenzied car chase scenes.

One of the most thrilling scenes in the movie comes when Charlie and his rival driving a highly tuned Toyota are battling neck and neck down back streets with the police in full pursuit.

As the race progresses Charlie realises that he has really missed racing and he could possibly start a whole new life if he could take the prize money for himself and so contacts the police to tell them what had happened with the Cartel man agreeing a deal with them to trap the dealer at the finish line, hand over the drugs and then take the prize money and move somewhere new.

Unfortunately, the cartel find out and send Sicario’s to kill him resulting in the the finale of the film being not only a race to win the money, but also to stay ahead of the assassins that are chasing him.

Of course like all good films like this Charlie wins the race, the dealer gets arrested and the final scene sees Charlie pulling up in a lay-by in the Californian hills at sun rise in his trusted, but battered taxi ready to start his new life.

I mean im not going to lie I read "Fare Taxi" as "Fake Taxi" and was slightly scared to read the spoiler 😂😂

Turned out to be awesome love it ❤️

I'd love to hear the PG-rated, slyly written description for that one. :D
The funny thing is that the base of this design was a fake taxi livery I did on GTS! It’s seedy past must’ve come through in the pictures
I love this. I love the story.
And it feels very Cyberpunk with the colour, shots and story.
Winner.
Thanks @Racerx_34

Ric Rosas, aka 'the Rose' is a mid level street criminal from Houston with eyes on moving up the food chain. Late nights and early mornings, we're talking non stop hussle. His hood life career goals are right on schedule until one day he gets in over his head, and instead makes it to the top of the local PD's most wanted list. This fast paced crime drama can only end in a high speed car chase!

Crazy Nights plot:
Asuka Sakamoto is the conductor of "Rainbow in the dark" Japan's most famous heavy metal radio show. One day she got a call from a mysterious man asking her to play the song "Crazy nights" by Loudness and claims that he's going to raise havoc over Tokyo with his R32. Minutes later she sees in the news that a blue Nissan R32 is crossing downtown Tokyo at high speed evading the police. His R32 is a former TAS demo car made by Tomei, thought long lost in an accident. Every night this man calls the radio station saying that he's ready to create havoc, but one day he adds he does it in retaliation to Mr. Matsui, a corrupt policeman who illegally seized and sold tuned cars and promises to send Asuka info on the topic. Asuka got an email with all the info, the man promises to drive that night and Mr. Matsui makes a statement promising to catch that driver dead or alive.

FINAL ENTRY
PS4 BASE

So before I go into the screenplay this movie will be a combination of every British coming of age film mixed with every Vinnie Jones movie you've ever seen.
My story follows an amateur mechanic so the final design is aimed to look like a 19yr old has done it in their spare time with every mod they could fine (meant to look like a home build)

My movie follows Kieran (played by Sam Retford) an apprentice mechanic from South London who spends all his free time fixing his beloved car he has dubbed MX-FIRE.
He lives with his career criminal dad Baz (Danny Dyer) who has suffered a life of debt and addiction. Determined not to lead his son down the same path he encourages his work and his passion for cars.

One night Baz joins Kieran at a car cruise and notices not all is legit, spotting one last opportunity at the big time he forces his way into a huge money laundering operation based out of the garage his son is working at.

It turns out that Baz is not the greatest criminal and the police start to become interested in the crew. After a meet Kieran and his girlfriend (Maisie Smith) are stopped by police in possession of £10k in counterfeit notes. Knowing they were not the mastermind they turn the pair in exchange for information.

Installing a small go-pro Kieran awaits to see who retrieves the money and is heartbroken to see it was his dad. With the police closing in he wrestles with his conscious and shops Baz to the police.

In the final scenes the gangsters had worked out the money was compromised and kidnapped Baz believing him to be the mole. Bound and gagged in the boot of an escort he seemed certain for the car crusher until on full opposite lock tyres screeching Kieran races through the yard to save his Dad.

A car chase through London ensues until the gangsters end up in a gruesome fireball. Baz admits to the whole thing and is sentenced to prison.

We skip forward 5 years and Kieran is at home with his gf and 1yr old daughter. Its Baz's release date and they start to pack up an all electric Kia when he jokes which car to go in - we pan to the corner and MX-Fire is rebuilt after her epic schermish through London

I'd watch that for the cast alone! Great storyline!!

Every day Honda Jazz drivers (Fit in other parts of the world) are intimidated on UK roads. Margaret Unhinged is a film following a victim of these acts. Margaret Sponge, or Margaret Victoria Sponge to be exact, is a 68 year old widow from the quiet English countryside. She enjoys going to the bingo, woman’s institute meetings and driving her little Jazz to the supermarket. Margaret was having a bad day, she’d had a torrid time at the bingo the night before and Morrisons had ran out of self raising flour. On her way home from shopping a BMW M2 tailgates her for 2 miles before passing, cutting her up and giving her the finger. Although normally used to this sort of behaviour this perfect storm of events caused Margaret to crack.

Once at home she booked the Jazz in for a custom paint job, some new rims, and a stage 3 modification. She went on the dark Web and ordered a Glock pistol and a machete. She then goes on a murderous rampage praying on young hoodlums in Fiestas and Corsas to middle aged men in German saloon cars. Gerald, a gardener with a Hyundai i10 was on the road at the same time. He followed Margaret home and shared his dashcam footage. He knew the BMW driver as the arrogant sales rep Dick Ryder from the golf club. Gerald who has suffered in the same way as Margaret team up and a steamy romance develops while the bloodshed continues.

It all builds to an epic car chase with Margaret and Gerald going after Dick in the Jazz before the blood curdling finale is played out.

Certificate 18. Extreme violence and scenes of torture. Foul language. Scenes of a sexually explicit nature.
