I would've preferred DP and P2 separate classes.

Why? This means the DP's will actually have to be sped up to keep pace with LMP2. That means some actual aerodynamics like a rear diffuser can be added. 👍

DP have "ancient technology" compared to LMP2.

DP is heavier and has less bhp then P2 and would make more sense if DP moved to Super GT and unified with GT500.

If a DP apparently manage to win how would ACO invite it to Le Mams 24 hours?

Move to SuperGT? They'd be even slower. The only reason SuperGT is around the LMP2 times is because they run success ballast during the season. On top of them being 200kg heavier at their minimum weight (1100kg GT500 to 900kg LMP2). At Fuji testing, the cars were in the 1:31's earlier this month. That's two seconds faster than the best LMP2 time from the Fuji WEC race last October. http://www.prostfan.com/nicraces/2012/wec_fuji_race_fl_driver.pdf. If they went the SuperGT route, they would need even more work. If SuperGT weighed 900kg, they would be challenging LMP1 times.

And DTM is still way faster than DP. Take Brands Hatch Indy- Champ Car did a time of a 37 second lap, DTM last year did 41 second laps. 4 seconds off pace of a Champ Car at that short of a track is crazy. DTM runs on a spec tire that doesn't nearly have the grip the GT500 tires do. If they did they would be just as fast. 1, they weigh 1000kg not 1100kg so that's less than DP and GT500. 2, they produce a good deal more downforce and their chassis is carbon fiber. And 3, DTM in America will be a separate series to USCR. 👍

I don't know how LMP2 will withstand the contact. It might emd up that LMP2 will be in a million pieced after each race.

They're stronger than you give them credit for. They're much more withstanding to contact than a F1 wing, for example.
