Actually I don't know the rules seeing as this is my first post here, and they only mentioned questionable times.

Generally, when you do the quarter mile, you don't take the shot during the replay. you take it at the point where it says Session record and the time would be in larger white letters more legible to read. The great thing about the Session Record screen is that it lists the car and there is no doubt that the car did it and not some other car.
 
My phone didn't work right then, so I had to go with the replay. I showed the 2 photos so you can see the rear end of the GTS-R Concept and the overexposed letters, then the time. After you see the time, you can see it in the first one that is way overexposed. If you look in the top right of the first one it's more clear while still showing the speedo and car
 
I actually prefer it that way to tell you the truth, ESPECIALLY for the No Nitrous runs. But I've compared and got close enough to know the runs already in there are legit.

Nice run, especially without TCS. Now load the TCS onto that puppy and get some 9.0's or better. :) I'll add it in right now.
 
I just ran a 8.118 with my viper srt-10 on nitrous.

it keeps getting faster and faster.....going for 8.0xx soon

p.s. I got the viper race car into the 7's....lol...that thing hauls.

Sorry, I was not here just before advertising for another forum.

I hoped you could be interested in the competition there, because there is also the ¼ Mile Race.

But back to the topic:

I have since my last post here sometimes even some cars tested. It still lacks some, but I wanted my time to post interim results.

All cars are tested Road Cars and were driven without Nitrous (NO NITROUS ROAD CAR).

Here are my current Top 9: :)

1st Place - 8,762 Sek. TVR Cerbera Speed Twelve 👍
2nd Place - 8,808 Sek. Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3 👍
3rd Place - 8,965 Sek. Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car
4th Place - 8,985 Sek. Dodge Viper SRT10
5th Place - 8,996 Sek. Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept
6th Place - 9,005 Sek. Audi Le Mans Quattro
7th Place - 9,013 Sek. Cadillac Cien
8th Place - 9,037 Sek. Ford GT
9th Place - 9,073 Sek. Lotus Esprit Sport 350

My Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX Sti (GD, type-II) '02 drove a 7.895 on the 1/4 Mile. It's faster then the Polyphone Digital F1 in multiplayer mode, when it comes to a 500M drag. It's funny when a friend picks the F1 and you pick the Subaru and win by almost 100M.

I never tried to tune the Nissan Skyline, but I'll recon it's a lot faster.

Hey!! How's things Jspoon?? :) Great to see you're still lurking about dude. That Spoon time of yours still stands as the FF time to beat after all this time and I've been too distracted to keep up with you. :lol: Not to mention the other cars you've got records with. :)

Hope you get another PS2 (or a PS3 that can play PS2 discs!!) so you can try for some other categories. :D
 
Shouldn't there be a No TSC, No nitrous, Road car class?

The Dodge Viper doesn't come with either IIRC. I'd ask for no tuning but that's pushing honesty.
 
No, it's No Nitrous that's it. TCS is allowed in that category, and TCS is available on every car. If it wasn't, the Viper wouldn't be one of the most dominant cars in the road car categories. The only category it's not allowed is in the SUV category.

If you want to race completely stock cars that's your perogative, but this thread is for all out pure quickness on the 1/4 mile.
 
In the game TCS is on every car. But IRL the Viper isn't available with it. That's what I was getting at. Ok well I'm going to make a shot for these boards.
 
i don´t know why, but if i make a run at 1/4 on testtrack i have a better time than at the Las Vegas Drag Strip.

why? they are both 1/4!
 
I noticed there's no non-TCS run category. :( I made a sub 10sec Toyota Caldina with no TCS. I have a vid on my digital camera. I have to get it up.
 
I just thought to myself "hmmm. I want to make a sub-10 car. But one you wouldn't expect. So I know its not the fastest, but its still amazing.
 
I like doin stuff like that too. I was originally shootin for mid 9's lol, then found out that you can put a 100 shot of nitrous on the rx7, and next thing you know, I was fryin the tires in 3rd gear, and still pull 8 seconds lol.

now, I almost have it setup up perfect. it gets a little wheelspeed off the line, and chirps the tires into seconds, then its all hook from there.
