i have to admit that it had a major make-over, but it's still recognizeable!
Can't wait to throw the Jag S-type R (with the major bodyroll) around that track....driftmania!!!!!

I can see a very vague resemblance, but it probably won't "click" for me until I drive it. It seems the only thing they kept was the actual layout of the asphalt, everything else was given a total overhaul, making it almost unrecognizable.

Can't you just stfu? Maybe some of us haven't seen them before

Duhh! 💡 There are always people who havent seen some pics before, i cant post some more threads!! ;)

And yes i was one of those guys who said it is High Speed Ring 👍

Ok, hold up. What's so special about this track? It's a big oval, right? How is it so much better than the Speedway or Test Track in GT3?

It's so special because it was the very first track we GT gamers got to cut our teeth on. You always remember your first love, don't you?

Have you ever raced on the HSR? It was a lot of fun, for being such a simple course.

Problem is that if GT4 is more accurate than GTC, the Jag won't handle anything like the way it did in GTC, the S-type R is a good handler.

Well all 50+ tracks are basically big ovals. HSR has a few more twists and turns. It is an awesome, quick track. Good for gaining a bit of money on.

It looks like they have added a bridge on the HSR.....

Regards

Awesome pictures. I think I only ever drived on this track once or twice at my friends house, so I'll have no memorys to bring back.

Heh, HSR was the track I drove the most on in GT1, wonder if theres any major changes in track layout, other than appearance.

I'm curious, how do those shots with motion in the background work? Am i gonna see that if i pause in the middle of a race or replay? Or are they the action photo mode?

I'd say that shot of the #23 Xanavi Nissan has the blurred effect thebcause the shot itself is from the point of view of a pursuing car, hence the blurred effect.

The other shot of the Penzoil/Zexel Nissan is taken with the camera tracking the car, so everything else will naturally appear blurred.

I remember seeing the demo races on GT1 and one of them had JGTC cars on it and it was cool. :) this track is awsome becuase it was also on one of the demos that Pizza Hut used to give out..WAY WAAAAAAAAAY Long ago, good times. :)

Just so long as they've ironed out that kink at the bottom of the circuit and change the final turn so it's a bit longer so you don't have to brake in more powerful cars (by making the straight out of the kink shorter), High Speed Ring will be fine.

I didn't mind slowing down around the last corner. I always loved to go slow and then slam on the gas and fly past everyone on the straight. :D

They need to bring back Test Track. I hope they make all the haters do like 200 laps against R390's and TS020's to complete 100%. Mwuahahaha.
