Noob to Hybrids

For borrow/trade or more information, see PSN "Tree4kid."

Some cars pictured are completely undriveable (Kahrmann Ghia and Schwimwagen both like to bounce around even down straightaways.)

Engine, Drivetrain: Honda ARTA NSX
Chassis: Aston Martin Vanquish '04

CLs CAN drift.

I made more than one 86 and forgot to write down the details of this one...

Clearly, this driver is IN LOVE with his hybrid Kubelwagen. It was made satanically drivable by its former Axis of Evil manufacturers.

Engine: Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG (R230) '02
Chassis: Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car '67
Gearbox: Lexus IS F '07
Drivetrain: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR '10

A nice yellow German jumper.

Looks tame. Actually an NSX-R Prototype LM Race Car (chassis, gearbox, and drivetrain) with Art Morrison powerplant. A shot from the rear or front would've done its stance better justice. Torque for days.

What happens when you try a chassis with a wheelbase too long? Ouch.

9592797643_b2f0cf2b6c_o.jpg

Ouch again. This one still drives, though.

Prefers jumping to "svimming."

Camaro is on Camaro Z28 '69 RM chassis with Veyron drivetrain, engine, and gearbox. It was inspired by Neptune Courvoisier, III. It does very well with straight line accel and decel, but it felt like a hesitant tank through the Porsche corners. The tuning was interesting on this one. Adding weight increased the PP. Max PP with car pictured above was 761 (stage 3 engine mod and supercharger). Achieved top speed of 294.7. Top g-force was 1.57. Engine sound was predominantly (only?) the supercharger during max speed/accel testing.

Again, hoppy and undrivable.

Next up: pictures of a few SLAMMED cars.

Warning: Garage link in my signature is out of date.

Nissan Maxima Coupe

Whenever I drove the R33 Skyline, I always thought that the interior looked similar to that of the late 90s Maxima, especially the steering wheel. From some angles, they looked vaguely similar on the outside as well. A FWD conversion, a five speed automatic transmission, a 3.0 liter V6 detuned to 190 horsepower and a slight loss of weight fill in any mechanical irregularities between the two. It comes nowhere close to the excitement of the GT-R, but for a front wheel drive coupe, it manages well under normal driving conditions, though driving it at the limit yields occasionally scary understeer. It's not a four door sports car like the legendary second generation model was advertised as, but it's competent. While it may be a bit far-fetched, you could say this is essentially the Nissan Maxima Coupe that never was.

You can't put image link from your computer, you need image hosting service like Flickr :)

My next car will be replica of R33 GTS25T, FR with RB25DET engine, correct weight, complete with 5 speed ratio from R33 GTS25T :) Great for track and drift - using R33 GTR premium.

Awww i was going to do that :grumpy:

@Doog

Great idea! This is very interesting I must admit. Basically replicating normal city cars that are not in the game seems to be a pretty great idea after all!

Old pictures taken from 2.11 days : R33 GTS25T replica made from R33 GTR premium, RB25DET engine, stock turbo, FR from R33, corrected LSD + weight, stock 5 speed with R33 GTS25T ratio. Just like the real deal

This happens when the car you put the engine into did not have a turbocharger in the first place. You need to resort to other ways to do this. (in your case, Camaro doesn't have a turbocharger, so sound was lost)

Yup. Some Engines cant take Turbos :\. LS9 for example :indiff:

My friend managed to make a Twin Turbo Supercharger in his Miura. I tested it out an my god it really goes for 500bhp! Even tough its at 1200kg.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR P.P. '07 - MR Touring Replica

Made for me by a friend, to replicate the car of another friend. Apart from the deleted spoiler, everything else is stock on this Evo, and it's been limited to 291bhp and gained a few more pounds to total 1675kg to make it just like the MR. It's not the fastest car in my garage, but certainly one of the most fun to throw into the corners.

Full set of this car is here.

I did it a while back, using original engine, corrected weight to real life spec 1293kg, it has 600+ to 700+ HP from twin turbo alone, supercharger should make it close to 1000HP. Also have Twin Turbo Ferrari 512BB at 690+HP, with corrected weight.
