The ice cream thread.

I recommend Ben & Jerry's Peace of Cake... had it last night. Strawberry cheesecake ice cream with strawberries and cookie swirls.

I love ice cream, too much. My doctor said it's not good for my heart. My cholesterol goes way up when I eat it. Nerts. He often knows when I've been eating it.

Recipe for homemade strawberry sauce

Buy some fresh strawberries. Wash and rinse them after cutting off the green leaves and white core (leave them whole). Put them in a zip-lock plastic bag and into the freezer without drying them off. Freeze them for at least 48 hours. Take the bag out of the freezer and let them defrost for several hours. Once completely defrosted, squish the strawberries while still in the bag. Pour out strawberry sauce as needed.

Add strawberry sauce to vanilla ice cream and mix to make the best strawberry ice cream you ever had. Makes a great Sunday strawberry sauce, too. Or, use it in vanilla ice cream shakes, along with a banana, to make strawberry and banana milk shakes. Add it to plain yogurt, vanilla pudding, etc.

The chef has spoken.

I'll try it.

Does anyone like the crime against Ice cream that is Mint and Choc chip?

:yuck:

Canilla as whip, anything as scoop. Except the above.

Any kind of Vanilla and I also like the green minty stuff, forgot the name but ya'll should get the idea.

Mint Chocolate Chip is the greatest thing to happen to ice cream. Ever.
Oh, yes, I forgot that one too. I've not had that in a looong time.

I don't mind Vanilla or Chocolate either.

I hate mint and chocolate chip. :yuck:

Personally, if I wanted food to freshen my breath while I ate it, i'd go eat toothpaste.

Nice old plain Vanilla for me, with flake if avalible but no other optionals

So I'm picky:

The best place in the world for Ice Cream is right of the Court Saleya in Nice. I think it's called pinocchio's. A scoop of sweet cream and a scoop of "Grand marnier" make me a happy guy.

In the states: I'll settle for Sweet Cream.

I don't like ice cream.

Unless it's vanilla paired with an apple crustini.

Vanilla with hot chocolate, melted. I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.

Ooh that's nice. My fave though has to be Ben and Jerryss chocolate fudge brownie, oh yes. Bit pricey mind.
