The use of "Bro" in everything.
How many do you know?
Brotank
Broswag
Broscarf
Broad Trip
No bromo
Brody
Bro Kicks
Bro Socks

Add Bromance to that list haha. "Yeah, like you know bro, pretty much everyone's saying this stuff nowaday, ight? Just got to go along with it man..". God, I've been watching too much MTV. Notice you don't see girls saying sis in everything, well I don't anyway.

Reminds me of a con-bro-sation that was had last year
997TT is AWD broski. But I do agree with your initial idea.
Also, never call me "broski" again. Got it? Good.
Sorry broseph.
Problem brometheus?
No, its what normal AWD cars do when sideways. Remember most people call a minor powerslide a drift. brolenthless.
Not at all Brosarus 👍
Like I've said before, im mildly autistic so communication is not my greatest thing. Bromiscuous.
Sounds about right Brotarian.

The latest trend for me is Birkenstock sandals and Vermont cheddar for lunch.

Saying cray instead of crazy..

It's really annoying

I think someone listened to *****s in paradise by Kayne and jay z too many times!

^^^Same when people say "axed" instead of "asked."

"Oh man, I axed him about dat"

"Axed" really isn't a trend, it's part of AAVE or to a lesser extent Ebonics. It's more of a cultural thing than a trend thing. If you ever take a linguistics class it's one things the professor typically touches on.

I remember when Swag meant "Sweaty girls body part" in my school.

Here it once meant "Secretly we are gay." The whole trend of doing something stupid and saying YOLO is extremely illogical. "You only live once." Yes, correct. But that means you should be trying to not do stupid things so you can enjoy it from outside of a coffin/old broken down apartment/prison/street and in a proper house with proper friends/family/money/life.

Some people just lack common sense, luckily there are people that actually have it.

Swag is stuff you buy at the merch table after a concert.

Also a type of man who camps by the billabong, under the shade of a Coolabah tree.

Until down came the Squatter, mounted on his thoroughbred.

Swag is what robbers come out of a burglary with. ;)

^This.

I have to say i cringe every time i hear or read the word 'stance' when used to describe modified cars. Having said that, it's sooo last year anyway. Must be about time for a new automotive trend?

I previously worked on the PGA Tour, going from tournament to tournament, city to city. Back then "swag" was Stuff We All Get... Shirts, giveaways, corporate stuff you took home because someone gave it to you. Swag to the current generation of young people is that ridiculous "swagger" adjective. Make an excellent play in athletics - "Swag bro!!"

Ugghh.

I have two teenagers now. Some of the trends are interesting. High school girls are addicted to wearing short running shorts in as bright a color as possible, hopefully clashing with the rest of their clothes. Both boys and girls are wearing black athletic socks pulled up as high as possible, of course with shoes as bright as possible. Tan/Navy school uniform shorts with a white or blue shirt, black socks with fluorescent shoes?

To each his own I guess.

Thousands of texts a week, Facebook and Twitter like mad, etc.

In my group if we say someone's got swag we're taking the mick out of them and basically saying they look like a 🤬
Also we say YOLO at inappropriate times to mock the people who use it seriously

Same here with YOLO, pretty hilarious. I've even had a younger guy take time to explain it's meaning to me as I clearly hadn't quite grasped it.

Your post has just reminded me of something that happened to me decades ago when i was about 8 or 9yrs old, (it's probably not that amusing but i'll share anyway).

(Apologies, it is slightly off-topic)

I was out shopping for school shoes (for the upcoming term) with my mom, in my local town. I happened to be wearing a pair of bright green fluorescent socks at the time (i thought they were trendy, a lot of people at school wore them.. it was an 80's thing), at school and amongst my peers, they were always known as 'Day-Glo socks'.

Anyway, had finished purchasing the shoes with my mom, and just as we exited the door of the shop, we could hear a really loud cacophony of bike engines and chanting... it was huge Convoy of Hells Angels/bikers riding through the town holding placards and demonstrating, (please bare in mind, that after watching films like 'Mad-Max' etc at far too early an age.. i was poop scared of them, even though my dad was a biker in his former years ).
Anyway, whilst standing on the pavement outside of the shop nervously watching the convoy of scary bikers pass through town, it suddenly dawned on me what was written on the placards and what they were chanting...

"SAY NO!!-TO DAY-GLO!!.. SAY NO!!-TO DAY-GLO!!" :nervous:

Needless to say, fear got the best of me that day, as i ran quickly back inside the shoe shop and actually hid behind a shoe display...:O

My mom later explained to me they were demonstrating about some law that was being considered that would force riders to wear High-vis... they weren't demonstrating against me wearing my socks.

:dunce:

One of the popular kids broke his ankle and when he was talking about it in tutor (registration before classes start) I said "How did it happen, did you swag too hard".
He gave me a really confused look and kept talking, oh how I love it when people don't understand they're being insulted

Now that you mention it, seems to make sense

Personally, I do not with most of them, and I hate people that follow certain ones.

"YOLO (You Only Live Once)" and "Real Talk" are a few examples.

"YOLO" if you ask me is the idiot's excuse when you screw up.

"I just crashed my dad's car, but whatever, YOLO".

"Real Talk" is another example.

Here is a sample, typical comment that you can similarly find on numerous social networking sites:

"Yo man I hear u got a girl pregnant real talk damn dude u a @#&$@#$ idiot for doin dat real talk".

And just so you know, I'm not some craggly old man complaining about today's youth, I'm only fourteen, and I hate the fads that have ruined my generation.
