So, what I understood from reading this thread is that the LCC Rocket is the Miata of Track only Cars. Magnificent :D

I've only driven it on Cape Ring Periphery, and it seemed like it had too much grip - almost like it had downforce. I should definitely try it again, but something about it seemed oddly overpowered. It was a lot of fun, of course, just not what I was expecting. :D

On the twisty tracks, the Rocket is a pure monster. Even on Sports Hards the car still grips like no tomorrow.

Don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way (I really do love the car, and plan on starting a spec league with it) but jesus christ does it need to be re-balanced. The PP count is way too low for what the car can do. It has near limitless grip, crazy acceleration, stops on a dime, the car is just unfathomably fast. It's PP should be closer to 600 stock, and when fully modded should easily sit near 700 PP.

Lol the miata wishes it was like the LCC rocket. It's basically a mid-engined, f1 inspired Caterham. Truly awesome.

IRL the car is over 400bhp per tonne and is feather light, so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't far off.

Superb video - I'm looking forward to trying this car and track combination now. Shame I have to wait for Father Christmas to deliver my copy of the game!

Found my way into a lobby of 12 or so people last night racing these at brands hatch. All stock. It was without a doubt the most fun I've ever had racing in gt online. Everyone was running aggressive and clean, it felt like a true bare knuckle brawl, the kind you walk away from smiling because everyone gave it there all. I hope an official league is created soon.

Wow, so everyone here actually loves that little seemingly weak and dumb thingie. So much honey and love spilled on that car in this thread...

I'm no exception here. But I admit, I was kinda 'meh' about it at first, didn't feel attracted to it at all.

Rocket is nothing but pleasure of driving. Its top speed is not too impressive, but when it comes to how fast it's reached... my god this is properly fast. And that cornering... Pushing it around Circuito di Roma feels epic, especially after that long (second on this track) turn when you try to get as close to the barrier as possible. Only KTM X-Bow makes me feel close to this, really.

Just looking at its specs should indicate just how good this must be - 169 BHP with 390 kg of weight.

Gordon Murray, thank you. Not only you decorated the car world with the McLaren F1, but also with this beast of a car.

hands down best car in the game light nimble and pretty darn quick too! For a little 1 liter engine this car is astonishingly fast. The only thing that I would improve on it is add a wing for down force because the car isn't really that great with bumps. Although, I do love biking on to wheels at Nurb  so much fun!

Open Wheel Gordon Murray - How could it be bad?

It looks a bit... stubby - not as sleek as the Cooper that made Jack Brabham back to back F1 champ back in the day.

It is a load of fun. It isn't super grippy but you feel like you are having to minutely correct things all the time, But the cars balance seems to inform you of things and gives you, *just* enough time to do the right thing to prevent any straight to the scene of the accident type of mistakes.

I enjoy the way the headlamps pop up from behind the front suspension arms when it gets dark.

So far I really enjoy playing this LCC Rocket simulator, really glad PD bolted Gran Turismo with it.

Is it better than the ktm xbox?
the KTM X Bow is a burning pile of S:censored: on a 104 degree + day. That being said it is a very good car if you know how to drive it. The main problem is if you go to slow into the turn the car over steers and you spin out. But, if you go to fast in like any car it washes high and you could run off track. However, if you hit that sweet spot where the car does not over steer or under steer than the car is golden

Drove this car for the first time last night! Phenomenal!
Lap around the Ring was pure joy, an open wheeler with manual trans.
Gave the TH8RS's sequential a nice little work out too, car is also very upgradeable.
I can see leagues devoted to this little gem.

I had a Caterham addiction in GT5. After seeing this thread, curiosity built up and drove it.... Incredible car!
yeah I know what you mean I to loved the caterham and even made a league for it. The LCC rocket is similar because of its incredible small stature but insane handling capabilities just like the caterham from GT5.

When I first saw this car I thought it wasm't nothing special... now I have 2, guess what happened. :D
I also used a fully tuned Rocket in one of the races of "Like the Wind", and got 1st place, awesome little car that thing is, and also sounds really nice. For sure top 10 cars in game that I used, along with the 458 and loved that Mustang Boss.

I actually used this car to beat the GT All-Stars championship. I've only lost one race with this car & that was in the 'Like The Wind' event at SSRX. I knew that I wasn't going to win, butat one point I had a Ferrari FXX & a Pagani Huayra sitting behind me, unable to pass. I think I topped out at 230 mph, but the car doesn't have a stage 3 engine upgrade or Nitrous, yet.
