Anyone else think that they need to limit the number of cars one manufacturer is allowed to enter in the 24 hours? I think this Peugeot vs Audi thing is all well and good, but having 3+ cars entered to be "the one" is a bit much. I think the max should be two cars...

Oak racing entered 4! It didn't go to well though....

They do only enter 2 cars :P
Audi sport Team Joest I believe were running 2 of the Audis and Audi Sport North America ran the other.
I think the Peugeot cars were 2 for Peugeot Sport Total and one for Team Peugeot Total and Oreca ran last years 908 as well ;)

Guys, i heard Toyota will be back in Le Mans for LMP1 . Recently they test their car. Well, not that recently, they have test it since last year.

Got some picture of it? Though i doubt they release any.

Looks like we might have Mazda, Toyota and maybe even Nissan works teams within the next two years! Dempsey Racing are running a well supported Mazda diesel next year. Might be coming into a golden age of sports car racing, I wonder how long other manufacterers can sit back and watch....Ferrari im looking at you!

pardon me if im not in the proper thread since this regards the American series but i just purchased my tickets to the baltimore grand prix . i am very excited, wanted to see a "city race" all of my life. i cannot wait.

Hey guys anyone know when Imola qualifying starts? I have 7 hours or so from now. Sound right?

Qualifying starting now? I have Radio Le Mans on and it's 7:54am here (1:54 in Italy I believe). They're just chatting tho so I don't know.

NM it's starting! I think...

If someone has video please link~

Makowieki in Luxury Racing Ferari 59 takes an early lead with 1:45, 58 is second with about .8 trailing.

Anyone else listening this or what? lol

EDIT: Jorg Muller takes the lead for BMW with a 1:44xxx

Pretty peeved there isn't a video stream for qualifications because I can hear onboards...

AF Corse*

It's weird hearing Patrick Long being on pole for the Am class....

And if it rains a TDS Oreca-Nissan P2 should win this thing :dopey:

p1 Pug Audi Pug
p2 TDS Nissan, Boutsen Nissan, Strakka HPD
FLM Genoa, JMB, Pegasus

Can't wait for moving pictures tomorrow!

Thanks for the link!

Wow interesting race. Congrats to Pug for a well-won battle and to Audi for staying strong and racing hard, all the other drivers especially AF Corse for their GT win. Sorry for BMW's bad luck!

Quite fun and ALMS next weekend :D

It was on the eurosport player as well without commercial interruption except the first hour which was on Eurosport 1 and there was no commentary on the player version either so the engine sounds were amazing.

It was pure audio car porn.

Unfortunately tho Eurosport doesn't seem to work even online in America (or at least my neck of the woods). Audi TV had radio le mans playing the whole time which was awesome as well!

Does anyone know if they use any kind of traction control systems in these races? Thanks.

Yup all the classes use TC.
