Description: The Lion's Den's second and last, therefore fastest entrant into the Touge Tuner Challenge. We knew that using an old school turbo engine could present boost issues, i.e. not spooling quick enough for all the low speed tight corners of touge, so we contacted NISMO as turbo imports are not a specialty of TLD, and worked together to build a strong fast spooling engine. There isn't much torque in total, but it's available for over 50% of the rev range, making it an excellent touge engine. What we do specialise in regardless of the vehicle is setup tuning. We got to work on creating a touge car worthy of representing TLD in the 600 PP class, and here she is, primed for the judges to shred around the course. Much work is put into this car, and it's even capable of defeating cars with over 480kw on the touge!

Tuner's Notes:
Don't be fooled by the words AWD, this is the last generation ATTESA AWD system and acts more like RWD, so sometimes the faster times can be achieved by holding off the throttle that fraction longer and not sliding the car.
Don't drop below 2nd gear
You will have to change into slightly higher gears just before a couple of corners, do so it won't hurt.
Change up a gear just before lanching off the main straight jump.
Gearbox is a 5spd.

Hi there Holden, been using some of your tunes for a while (with a G25 :P) i have to say, very nice (the HSR GTLM is a bit of a bugger at first but thats prob my driving style), after a few races im flying in it now.

Anyway, are you looking for a new driver?

Im 26, and I have been playing GT since the PSX original 9 or 10 years ago odd. Although only recently bagged a G25 and it's a whole new ball game so to speak, especially with a 6 speed shifter and clutch :F

Look forward to seeing you lads on the track, I'll be in a TLD car for sure.

Driving the GTLM is always very different to anything else, I'll give it that.

I don't really have official drivers, as always though feel free to write reviews on any cars you might be driving.:)

hey holden, yes i'm interested in that 'touge' comp, i think i've got a little number that may go head to head with a couple of you seasoned tuners, but we'll wait and see haha. who do i need to contact about entrance into the competition?

Dragonistic, just PM him with your setups.

mate, just did a few laps in your touge entry, in comparison to mine which is yet to be released, and i can't find a way to wipe the 0.4-0.7 second difference my car pulls through each of the checkpoints and for a full lap time. must keep tweaking!

With the Amuse set up with R2's, and full aero and full power (1 extra tick), I was running 1'04.1's. I didn't have a chance to run it in race conditions.

Congrats on getting a wheel, you'll never go back (willingly).

I'm not sure if I interpreted that correctly, who's car is fastest in your hands? Could just be the difference in cars, mine are probably as fast as they'll get.:sly:

your's is quicker, my entry is not working for me

It really could be the car, I chose the Mazda 6 for very specific reasons without even testing what the other cars would be like. Lap times aren't a prime factor in judging anyway, so don't fret too much.:)

Description: Same car as the Suzuka Vette, entirely new tune to suit High Speed Ring. The TLD Vettes have seen much mileage, and so the tradition continues with use of the marvellous mighty Vette. Running a more powerful setup than Suzuka this is quite fast, easily enough to win any race.

Tuner's Notes:
You will need to drop to around 80% throttle for around half a second in turn 1 it seems.
Get on the throttle early, she's stable as.
Use the grunt, get good exits.

Concerning the Lotus Elise, does the tune for the 111R Tuned apply to the Elise Tuned?

750PP race #7 at Suzuka (9/17/08)

Good setup on the tuned Z06 for HSR 800.Very stable&fast even with me driving.pretty much with it your gonna beat most dudes. Thanks:tup: ran high 1.03s in freerun,in race high 1.03s then mid 1.04s while leading by 10 sec. However came up against gamegansta BLOWED me away he won by 6 sec,I had a clean race no mistakes , he said his setup had R1 tires thats all he would gimme. You gotta setup on R1s that might compete?{on the Tuned Z06} Thanks again

No I haven't got a setup on R1s, where did he start in relation to you, and maybe he's immortal like Timppaq?

Started in first,& I'm beginning to think he is.I ran a really good race, well the best I could he gained every lap while I was running 1.03s.I've got no problem admitting there are guys better than me lots of them probally.Just wondered if you could help. Thanks for the best tunes as far as I'm concerned:tup:

I know many of the top drivers at HSR 800 are running R1's or R2's. I've tried putting R2's on my current TLD T-Vette and I can't push as much as I could on R3's. Meanwhile, the competition is running away as if they are on rails.

I tried tinkering a little with it with adding some more camber (2.0/1.0) and it actually gives less grip than with lesser angles.

Dropping down the "Turn Angle" should be considered as a vital part of tuning. In terms of RC car racing it is the steering "trim', or how much the front wheels steer? I know the 50 mark is ideal for drifters (to turn the wheels more) while 30 is for racing. I went from 40 to 35 with positive feedback.

Gamegangsta is a good guy and should be considered as a "friend".

Oh yes,I've races gamegansta many times, hes very fast & has HSR figured out. As a matter of fact he is on my friends list.He has several cars for HSR all fast:tup:

Max Turn Angle determines how much the wheels turn in relation to your steering input. If you turned the wheel at a 20 degree angle, the wheels would turn more with a higher max turn angle than with a lower max turn angle. I don't think that at a track like HSR it would make much serious difference in performance, it's purely a preference option.

Holden, the gauntlet has been revealed. A set up for the Morrison Vette at Daytona Road Course would be deeply appreciated by many :)

I wasn't sure if I was going to, but what the hell. I'll have it out by the weekend, is that OK? Or should I push for tomorrow night?

Much appreciated, seems other garages may not be doing or not releasing to the masses a tune for this beast, looking forward to trying it, i mean using to get my times, cheers

YESSSS :):):)

I dont mind but weekend sounds good to me. Im sure alot of people will appericate the tune if you put it out.

Hey Holden,
Back again for another one of your wicked tunes. I do have a small request: can you tune the 01' Viper for a 750PP pro race? I know it'll run competitive times, but the stock set up is crap. I'll be posting a review on one of your (already fabulous) tunes in exchange.

Thanks buddy,

Rennsport

Description: The Art Morrison Corvette, second coolest show car in the world next to the Holden EFIJY. It's a muscle car doing the finest kind of muscle thing, going fast while looking better than everyone else. Art Morrison approached TLD to improve the handling of the beast for an event against the like of Evos and Skylines. To conform with event regulations power was reduced. We've worked on most aspects of the car to turn out one capable of not only winning the event, but setting records.

Tuner's Notes:

Tuned as a 5spd gearbox as it was faster than a 6spd.

That's all I can say without violating event regulations.;)
