So I get flack for LB but prosthetic doesn't get anything for liking Slipknot? :grumpy:

:p

Dude, Slipknot has a certain... je ne se quois people like. Limp Bizkit is so... je ne se quois, that people hate.

People must be gluttons for punishment then since LB has sold over 50 million records world wide. :D

Theres lots of rap that has sold in those kind of numbers... I'm the .01% at my school that doesn't listen to rap. I blast metal loud and proudly :P

Haha sounds a bit like me. Only music you ever hear blasting as a car goes by is mostly rap with a sub pounding away. I have a sub myself, 12", but instead of rap I add just a bit of bass to pound the double bass away. I know it sounds like I drown out the music with the bass but I really have it on quite low and just turn up the volume up and it's just good sounding crisp bass mostly for intense sounding double bass. :D

People here just turn turn the treble all the way up thinking that is the bass... Thats how dumb they are, anyways I don't consider rap using bass, its just a electronically made substitute. For me when I see people listening to rap and enjoying it, I just get the serious erge to smack crap out of them.

I've been told that I will one day get old of rock/metal and become like everyone else and that the metal scene isn't big enough to hold on to the "gynormus" rap scene!

BULL****!!!

(The asterisk was put in by hand!)

Well, everyone has its own tastes. Some like metal, some rap, some pop, others classical music. Of course, we want that everyone listen to our type of music (mine being Rock/Metal/Alternative), but we have to show respect towards other people tastes, and not just whining about how crap some Rap really is.

I don't everyone to start listening to metal... That would ruin metal. I have grown to loath metal to the extreme. Mainly because people who listen to rap get in your face and all that jazz.

The closest I get to rap is Hardcore Gangsta Nerd Rap (Futuristic Sex Robotz) :)

Otherwise I stick to the roots of rock and metal :) I have enormus respect for jazz musicians and such as thats where metal was born.

I think Psychostick are the most underrated musicians... I think I'm going to need to order their CDs off of Amazon soon... I may buy a shirt of theirs or somthign too... They deserve the sales.

+1

I just started listening to them (heard BEER!!! on the radio and just had to look it up) and they're awesome. I only have We Couldn't Think of a Title but I definitely need to get my hands on their other cd.

Glad you guys like Psychostick. :D My friend let me listen to one of their CDs a little over a year ago and I've been a major fan ever since. I "acquired" their new cd Sandwich last week and it's just as awesome as We Couldn't Think of a Title. I'll be buying it as soon as it's released thats for sure. I'd like to get some shirts as well. 👍

Double posting ftw.

Psychostick's new cd came out yesterday May 5th. Woot for them.

Anyway..

I just downloaded the first single from the new DT album off the Roadrunner Records website. It's pretty good. It's not great, but the solo is very awesome. I'm sure it will grow on me like the rest of DT's music.

Didn't realise they are releasing a new album! I will most likely like it as I like all their stuff. I still think they need to make another album similar to Train of Thought, as that Progressive Metal at its finest 👍 My god I get some serious shivers listening to the As I Am solo.

This is what the new album is supposed to sound like:

When announcing news of the album's progress on his forum, Mike Portnoy described the album as "a DT album with 'A Change of Seasons', 'Octavarium', 'Learning to Live', 'Pull Me Under' and 'The Glass Prison'....all on one album..." Jordan Rudess later added, "...We've been entering into the Gothic domain quite a bit on this album."

Wow... sounds effing awesome... I'm getting it on release hopefully.

Anyways I was browsing y00t00b, and I accidentally clicked on this one AMV anime thing and it ended up having some Linkin Park song (Lol, never seen that before!) And people were copy and pasting this...

"you say joe bros - i say Breaking Benjamin
you say lil Wayne - i say Trapt
you say snoop dog- i say Bullet For My Valentine
you say britney- Metalica
you say soulja boy- i say DISTURBED
you say rap- i say LISTEN TO REAL MUSIC
you say pop- i say metal up your ***
92% of teens have turned to pop and rap,
if your one the 8% who like to to headbang and disturb the peace copy and paste to 3 videos "

LOL.... Bullet for my Valentine and Metallica are the only ones that are relatively metal, the others are just boring radio rock. Also, if they were all real metal heads they wouldn't spell Metallica wrong... WTF is wrong with 13 year olds these days? When I was 13 every could spell Metallica right.

WHAT EVVAH BRAH!!!

They played that song the first time I saw them, the intro (with the bass harmonics) was so heavy all my internal organs switched places. When the solo was coming up I was like "OH LAWD, TIME TO SEE THIS IN PERSON!!!" I had to think in caps lock because it was loud in there.

Had a great time Thursday night. Went to Burlington, Vermont and got to see DragonForce live on stage. They were fantastic. I'll be looking for them again next year when out on tour.

What really amazed me was the age range of people that were there to see them. Young teens all the way up to people older than me.

Wow DA, would have never guessed you were into DragonForce.

Anyone into Strapping Young Lad? I recently got their cd Alien and I love it.

Love? is my favorite song from the cd
