I've never really liked Slipknot or nu metal in general despite loving Limp Bizkit, lol.
I wouldn't really put their first album or so in the Nu Metal genre... but their newer stuff definatly is.

so has Britney...
That's alright, Chaz... I like a lot of odd music myself.
CDailey, I'm listening to Psychostick, this is good ****!![]()
Theres lots of rap that has sold in those kind of numbers... I'm the .01% at my school that doesn't listen to rap. I blast metal loud and proudly![]()
Haha sounds a bit like me. Only music you ever hear blasting as a car goes by is mostly rap with a sub pounding away. I have a sub myself, 12", but instead of rap I add just a bit of bass to pound the double bass away. I know it sounds like I drown out the music with the bass but I really have it on quite low and just turn up the volume up and it's just good sounding crisp bass mostly for intense sounding double bass.![]()
Well, everyone has its own tastes. Some like metal, some rap, some pop, others classical music. Of course, we want that everyone listen to our type of music (mine being Rock/Metal/Alternative), but we have to show respect towards other people tastes, and not just whining about how crap some Rap really is.
I think Psychostick are the most underrated musicians... I think I'm going to need to order their CDs off of Amazon soon... I may buy a shirt of theirs or somthign too... They deserve the sales.
Double posting ftw.
Psychostick's new cd came out yesterday May 5th. Woot for them.
Anyway..
I just downloaded the first single from the new DT album off the Roadrunner Records website. It's pretty good. It's not great, but the solo is very awesome. I'm sure it will grow on me like the rest of DT's music.
When announcing news of the album's progress on his forum, Mike Portnoy described the album as "a DT album with 'A Change of Seasons', 'Octavarium', 'Learning to Live', 'Pull Me Under' and 'The Glass Prison'....all on one album..." Jordan Rudess later added, "...We've been entering into the Gothic domain quite a bit on this album."
This is what the new album is supposed to sound like:
Didn't realise they are releasing a new album! I will most likely like it as I like all their stuff. I still think they need to make another album similar to Train of Thought, as that Progressive Metal at its finest 👍 My god I get some serious shivers listening to the As I Am solo.
Welcome to the world CDailey.
You will adore anything SYL and Devin put out.
