The Muse ThreadMusic

I've no money at the present time but will probably end up eBaying if I go, had to last time and that was £140 for 2, but then I'm silly with things like that and pay extortionate amounts as I enjoy Muse that much. Even a friend in Holland managed to get tickets for the Friday in London :grumpy:

Well, I'm not going. He didn't manage to get them in time and I don't think we really want to eBay them. It's annoying. :(

Well, maybe next time they do a tour of the UK :(

Failing a second UK leg, I'm sure some tickets will show up... And ebay prices will start to wane in a few months so I'm ok... I've waited for about 4 years, I can wait a bit more. ;)

Bump.

I JUST GOT TWO TICKETS. BLOCK 101 AT THE O2! YEAAAH!

And I may be able to trade for some standing tickets, if my plan all goes well. :D

How? Just phoning up again?

Yep, got them from seetickets. Ticketmaster might have some too. Maybe due to the fact that some peoples' cards may have rejected and stuff. Just keep trying. :)

Hmmm. I'll get my guitar teacher to try again tommorrow, I keep going on Ticketmaster and keep getting nothing. Maybe I might have better luck with the phones. To be frankly honest I don't even care whereabouts I am in the gig, seating or standing I'm still getting to see and hear the band.

Anyway, congrats on getting the tickets I'm sure you'll have fun. 👍

Completely un-Muse related but I'll second the give them a call option. Story time - My wife and I wanted to go to a play in Minneapolis but the theater's website said they were completely sold out. We gave them a call and not only did we get seats, but they put us up in the Director's Room for the same price as the floor seats! :D:tup:

The song listing for The Resistance has been released via Muse's Twitter.

The Resistance

01. Uprising
02. Resistance
03. Undisclosed Desires
04. United States Of Eurasia (+Collateral Damage)
05. Guiding Light
06. Unnatural Selection
07. MK Ultra
08. I Belong To You (+Mon Coeur S'Ouvre A Ta Voix)
09. Exogenesis: Symphony Part I (Overture)
10. Exogenesis: Symphony Part II (Cross Pollination)
11. Exogenesis: Symphony Part III (Redemption)

Eagerly awaiting Matt's 'orchestral monster', only a little longer to wait!

Parts of United States of Eurasia are being released in what can only be described as a huge treasure hunt. Sounds good so far, there are going to be 6 parts released we are currently on the second. To listen to it you must sign up to Muse's official website. In my opinion it sounds good so far. 👍

Eagerly awaiting the new album.

You can also head to youtube and listen to the parts, several people making thwe whole thing into one video, sounds so epic! Really excited for this!! Cant wait!:D

Well everthing so far sounds pretty good, sounds Queen-esque but I don't have a probelm with that. America is now involved in the treasure hunt, people are suspecting this is for the next part of the song which is joined to United States of Eurasia called "Collateral Damage". We should find out what happens sometime today though! Quite exciting. And Muse's first official single "Uprising" is being either released or being played on the Radio on August 8th. Muse news is finally start to hot up! :)

United States of Eurasia sounds great, I agree with Queen esque, particularly the harmony near the end, very epic song.

Yup definately, the whole song has been released on the United States of Eurasia micro site, avaliable for download too. This includes the anticipated Collateral Damage. It is a lovely song, I really don't have any probelms with it. It's mad, it's like nothing I've heard before, which pretty much sums up Muse.

I just heard Uprising for the first time today. I have to say, it's really catchy, and a great beat to it too.

And I've just found out the album's out on my birthday! lovely stuff :D

Zane Lowe will support Muse and DJ on the Saturday gig in Teignmouth. He also announced there will be a 'Muse Night' the following monday featuring 5 hours of Muse, including 'Muse at Ten', a special documentary celebrating a decade of Muse. Highlights of the gig will also be featured on Radio 1.

Available on iTunes now... 30 second clips of every track from The Resistance! This is the only place you'll be able to hear these clips this week so head over to iTunes now to take a listen.

Whether these clips are still on iTunes now I'm not sure. Last time I checked they still were. I have listened to all the clips and I personally liked the songs, although it does seem like a slightly different musical direction for Muse. Although I suppose things may well be different on the full tracks.

We are pleased to announce an exclusive pre-order here on muse.mu for the release of the band's new album 'The Resistance'.

The album will be available on September 14th in four different formats.

1. Digital Download MP3 256: £7.99 / €9.99

2. Standard CD in softpak derived from sustainable forestry: £9.99 / €15.50

3. Limited Edition CD+DVD in foldout softpak derived from sustainable forestry: £13.99 / €18.99
This version comes with The Making Of The Resistance DVD (43 minutes 53 seconds).

4. Limited Edition deluxe CD/DVD/Vinyl/USB/12" Art Print box set: £59.99 / €69.99 (with free postage from muse.mu worldwide).
This version comes with the above CD+DVD featuring The Making Of The Resistance DVD (43 minutes 53 seconds) in addition to 180g double heavyweight vinyl, a Muse USB stick pre-loaded with Apple Lossless, WAV and MP3 320 files plus bespoke audio player, a 12" fine art print and (exclusive to muse.mu) the album in 5.1 surround sound (full bitrate DTS & Dolby). This version with the 5.1 surround sound is strictly limited to 5000 copies worldwide.

If you pre-order any of these formats through muse.mu you will 'Join The Resistance' and automatically receive extra free downloadable content each week leading up to the album's release on September 14th. Week 1's bonus content is an awesome 8 minute video download of Stockholm Syndrome (Live From Kuala Lumpur) recorded back in February 2007!

Content will be available to people who pre-order via email and, for muse.mu members, through a new 'Join The Resistance' section in the Members area.

I'd personally like to pre-order the Limited Edition Deluxe version (no. 4) but I don't have the money to do so, so I guess I'll stick to just the 3rd one. Which still means I get the "Making of The Resistance" 43 minute DVD.

Finally, heres a making of Uprising video.

The new album is sounding absolutely wonderful, sounds like every song will be great! Im thinking about going for the deluxe one but I probably will just get the one that has the making of DVD.

Throwing in the riff from Headup by Deftones at the end of New Born = Sexay.

If you have BBC, then hit the red button and you'll be able to watch highlights of the gig. Also, on BBC3 on Friday there is a documentary about the band's preparation for the gig.
