Presenting: Unsustainable by Muse

Same as what was in the trailer, sounds so much better as a whole song though. Love it.

Yeah I love that, ever since I heard the trailer I was wondering what their new sound was going to be like. And I have to say it's awesome.

^Yes. Its just a filler, I prefer it to Survival but blimey its weird. Really starting to worry about the Second Law as an album.

Wow, this has really hyped up the album for me, love what they've come up for it so far. Hope they play this song during the Olympics Closing Ceremony 👍

Not sure we will see Unsustainable, certainly Survival though :P.

Unsustainable sounds like an opening track for their gigs.

I'm a huge Muse fan, probably the hugest of all people I know)
Anyway, I'll never stop loving this band just because this music answers my most vulnerable emotional state.
Always.

Very enjoyable song, love the solo in the middle. Apparently this song is a stark contrast to the "metal rififng" song before it.

It's easily the worse song Muse has ever released.

Well, I'm torn between this and I belong to you, and that crap they used in the vampire movie.

I have to disagree. It's a wonderfully relaxing chill out song in my opinion, great short solo in the middle and really cool lyrics. The whole song is made from samples I believe.

Yeah, not a fan of this; it's literally the only song that Muse have ever made that I actually dislike. It'll probably grow on me, at least the album will be completely different throughout though.

Agree that the solo bit is pretty cool, just wish it was slightly longer.

It's not my favourite by any means (Map of the Problematique takes that one) but it's good. It's a bit slow to get going but when it does I really like it.

But this is probably one of the slowest songs on the album, the faster more powerful songs are yet to come I think.....I hope, like Animal.

Muse has demonstrated once and again that they can do this sort of thing; problem is they don't sound like Muse on this piece of crap, more like a sad version of Cindy Lauper or something. It's hideous for Muse. I'll agree that the song by itself isn't all that bad, but Muse are giving their real skills a run for their money with trash like this.

I find it strange that nobody has posted the cover art yet:

What do muse sound like though? Every album sounds so wildly different from the next you can't give them a set sound. That's exactly what they try to avoid.

I just heard the new single (at least I think it's the new one) on the local radio. I liked it a lot. But it's not easy with Muse. On some albums I only like 1 or 2 songs. Whereas on others I like them all. Especially the older ones are my favourites.

Edit song is called Madness.

Currently listening to the whole album. Unbelievable so far. Panic Station is utterly fantastic and the outro riff of Supremacey is just wowowowow.

Just gotta keep listening :D I'll give my overall view later.

EDIT:

Well the only thing that needs to be said is WOW. An unbelievable mix of style and traditional Muse sounds. A properly properly excellent album.

Given that's its not out till October, and not being streamed till tonight ... how? Though that might be a bad question to ask.

Go on muse.mu and there is a link to the official stream for the region you are in.

Loving Panic Station!

Edit: Panic station was the only song that grabbed me really as a stand out track. Onto my second listen through now though to see if anything else is good.
